A pensioner who sang Don't Cry for Me Argentina 'again and again and again' most mornings while standing half-naked at his window has been jailed for 18 weeks.

'Terrible' singer Peter Robinson-Graham, 78, caused months of misery by belting out Ten Green Bottles, John Brown's Body and hits from the musical Evita with his top off - sometimes from 4am.

One of his elderly neighbours, a man, said: 'He'd sing Don't Cry for Me Argentina - again, and again, and again. It's terrible.'

And when residents asked him to stop he would swear, shake his fist, and threaten violence, a court heard.

Robinson-Graham was also accused of repeatedly threatening fellow tenants at Conisburgh Court in Carlisle, which houses people over the age of 55.

Despite repeated warnings by his landlord, Robinson-Graham has refused to stop his anti-social behaviour so was jailed for 18 weeks.
