Some people, Michael Rivero in particular (http://www.whatreallyhappened.com) have correctly pointed out that Donald Trump entered the Presidency as politically naive as Jimmy Carter. I disagree with Michael on this point, but only in part. Because I do think it’s important to make a distinction between the two men.

Note: I do want to say that Mike Rivero’s daily show on RBN is well worth listening to if you would like to listen to a man who has an impressive grasp of history, politics, reason, science and logic.

Jimmy Carter did not have the street savvy or toughness that Donald Trump has by necessity gained competing and succeeding in the most competitive and roughest business environment there is … New York City.

Trump could never have succeeded in NYC over all those years without playing business and political ‘chess’ with those who would resist and oppose him … and also those who might help him achieve his objectives, such as politicians. That is the critical difference between the two men, as I see it.

I know, from personal experience, that there is tactical value in the old adage about giving someone ‘enough rope to hang themselves’. I think this is especially important to Trump’s stated objective of “draining the swamp”. Some people have been disappointed in Trump because he’s not so far achieved this to their individual satisfaction at this point in his Presidency.

However, I’m inclined to think that he (Trump) knows exactly what he is doing and knows that given some room (for over confidence and hubris) the ‘bad actors’ will expose themselves so completely that it will be easier to prosecute and convict them.

“Patience is a Virtue” as the old expression says.

This seems to be happening as people like Nancy Pelosi and Maxine Waters continue to embarrass themselves, their party and ultimately their own constituents with on-record statements that are so bizarre that anyone with even room-temperature IQ rolls their eyes!

And let’s not ignore such antics as the mayor of Houston putting political posturing ahead of public service announcements that could have saved many people in his city from danger.

John Potesta, despite all his ‘Hillaryous’ past denials now finds himself with some new problems (worse than that Maria Bartiromo ass-kicking he got) as Comey friend and DNC pet prosecutor, Robert Mueller, is looking at those ‘Russian connections’ Podesta profited from … Has Mueller seen ‘the light at the end of the funnel’? … the ‘funnel’ that is directing all those pathetic DNC allegations about Trump back into their own swamp of political and moral sewage.

It’s said that the game of chess was invented by an ancient Persian General who wanted to teach his young warriors the art of patience. I’d opine that Trump is playing a very sophisticated game of political chess … letting the traitors and jackasses expose themselves to the public at large so completely that no excuses for or from them will remain with any credibility at all.

My opinion is that “You’re Fired” is only just beginning as the political chessboard plays out in stark public view.
