The family of Oregon occupation spokesman Robert "LaVoy" Finicum filed a wrongful death lawsuit in federal court against the United States, the FBI, Oregon State Police, the U.S. Bureau of Land Management, Oregon's governor and others on the second anniversary of his death.
The complaint claims Finicum was shot "assassination style'' by "one or more militarized officers of the Oregon State Police and/or FBI'' as he was trying to drive "across the county border'' to seek the protection of Grant County Sheriff Glenn Palmer on Jan. 26, 2016.
The suit likened it to what happened to a North Korean soldier who was shot while running across the border last November to South Korea, though he survived.
"Finicum was deliberately executed by a pre-planned government ambush, after he had exited his vehicle with his hands up,'' the complaint says.
Document: Wrongful death lawsuit
Portland attorney Lisa Ludwig with Utah lawyer J. Morgan Philpot filed the complaint at 12:03 a.m. Friday in U.S. District Court in Pendleton on behalf of the Finicum family. It seeks more than $5 million in damages for Finicum's wife, Jeanette Finicum, and each of their 12 children and his estate.
The complaint lists as defendants Greg Bretzing, former FBI special agent in charge in Portland, indicted FBI agent W. Joseph Astarita, Oregon Gov. Kate Brown, U.S. Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Oregon, former U.S. Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nevada, Harney County Sheriff Dave Ward, Harney County commissioner Steven Grasty, the Center for Biological Diversity and multiple unnamed officers.

"These defendants were mentally predisposed and committed to using excessive lethal force, to solve a political dispute,'' the complaint says. "The result has been both haunting and tragic.''
It contends the defendants engaged in "widespread and systemic corruption'' and the "premeditated targeting'' of Finicum and others because of his association with Nevada cattleman Cliven Bundy and Bundy family members, his membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints and his political views and activism critical of federal land management and the U.S. Bureau of Land Management.
The suit contends police and the FBI set up a "Deadman's roadblock'' on rural U.S. 395 where Finicum was shot and killed. It accuses the FBI, Oregon State Police and Bureau of Land Management of negligence and failing to properly train and supervise its officers.
Finicum, a rancher from Canes Bed, Arizona, who served as spokesman for the armed takeover of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge in early 2016, raced away from a police stop on the highway as he and other refuge occupiers were on their way to a community meeting in John Day. Finicum crashed into the side of a snowbank to avoid a police roadblock.

The suit contends Astarita fired at Finicum after he crashed and then stepped out of his white Dodge pickup "with his hands in the air in a surrender position.''
The shooting came as state police and FBI agents stopped and arrested key figures of the occupation.
The lawsuit follows an indictment against Astarita, who Oregon investigators allege lied about firing twice at Finicum's truck. Astarita's bullets didn't hit Finicum, 54, investigators said. They concluded that one of Astarita's shots hit the roof of Finicum's truck and that the second shot missed.
Seconds later, state troopers shot Finicum three times after he walked away from his pickup and reached for his inner jacket pocket, where police later said he had a loaded 9mm handgun, according to the investigation.
Finicum was shot in the left upper back, left shoulder and right lower back. A bullet pierced his heart, an autopsy found.
An investigation by local law enforcement authorities found the state police shots that killed Finicum were justified.
"Mr. Finicum repeatedly and knowingly made choices that put him in this situation," Harney County District Attorney Tim Colahan said after the investigation in March 2016. "It was not the outcome that any of us wanted but one he, alone, is responsible for."

Astarita has pleaded not guilty to three counts of making a false statement and two counts of obstruction of justice. He is accused of hiding from Oregon investigators that he fired his rifle and lying to the FBI about his shots.
Astarita, who was a member of the FBI's Hostage Rescue Team, is accused of telling two different FBI supervisors on the night of Jan. 26, 2016, that he hadn't fired any gunshots. Later that night, state police detectives interviewed the five FBI agents on the team and none said they had fired their weapons.
Supporters of Finicum are planning to hold a vigil and memorial in downtown Portland at 5 p.m. Friday at what they've dubbed the "Patriot Corner'' on Southwest Third Avenue across from the Justice Center and downtown federal courthouse.
"There are no words to describe all that we've been through, or the depth of our loss, but I know that LaVoy is with our Father in Heaven and our Savior Jesus Christ,'' Jeanette Finicum wrote on her Facebook page. " I know that he is happy and that he continues to live. I know that I will see him again and our life together will continue there. How grateful I am for this knowledge.''

The Israeli embassy has declined to comment on Mr Zanoli's action.

'An insult'

Mr Zanoli and his mother were awarded the "Righteous Among the Nations" honour by Israel in 2011 for helping to shelter a Jewish child from the Nazis in their family home from 1943-45.

The award is accorded to non-Jews who risked their lives to protect and save Jews during the Holocaust.

However, Mr Zanoli said in a letter published by Israel's Haaretz newspaper that "to hold on to the honour granted to me by the State of Israel under these circumstances, would be an insult... to those in my family, four generations on, who lost no less than six of their relatives in Gaza."

(NaturalNews) In the latest stunning assault on Americans' right to grow their own food, the freedom-crushing state of Michigan has ruled that local governments (cities, towns, counties) can now ban any animal they wish from small residential farms. The move opens the door to the mass criminalization of backyard farms and small, residential farming operations where people might keep a few goats or honey bees for food security.

According to Michigan Public Radio (1), the ruling could ban all chickens, goats, honey bees and other animals from farms which have another residential house less than 250 feet away.

Off The Grid News(2) goes on to report:

Some homesteaders in Michigan could find themselves in a complete regulatory limbo because of the Commission's action. Blogger, writer and organic farmer Michelle Regalado Deatrick does not know if she'll be able to keep her livestock, because about half of her 80-acre farm may not be zoned for farm animals.

"We're building up a mixed production farm, planning to farm during retirement, and we have a permit in hand for a livestock facility," Deatrick said, "...Now we're having to reconsider our business plans and may sell the farm and buy a farm in a more rural area with definite [Right To Farm] protection, or move to another state that's more welcoming and protective of small farm rights."

Michigan DNR previously ordered small local farmer to shoot his own pigs

Michigan is the same state where the DNR (Department of Natural Resources) ordered one small, local farmer to shoot all his pigs because they were the wrong "race" of pigs. This genocidal demand by the Michigan state government echoes a tyrannical anti-farming agenda at the highest levels of state government.

Michigan is also the state where Julie Bass of Oak Park was threatened with jail time for teaching her children how to grow vegetables in their own home garden. All charges against Julie were later dropped after Natural News and other independent news sources publicly shamed Oak Park bureaucrats into backing down.

Nationwide, people who attempt to grow their own food are routinely threatened with arrest and fines. One woman in Oklahoma suffered the complete destruction of her medicinal herb landscaping by local city officials who raided her home garden while she was away.

The war against small farms is an attack against America

This obscene war against small farms is an attack against America herself.

Our heritage, values, and culture are forever intertwined with small local farms.

Attacks against small local farms are also attacks on America's food security. Local, independent food production provides a buffer against systemic food failures that might occur, for example, after an EMP attack causes a national power grid blackout. Without power, centralized systems of food production, harvesting, transportation and retailing cannot function. But small, local farms can still produce food without electricity.

So any attack against local farming is, in essense, an attack on America's national security.

And no state seems to be more determined to undermine America's national food security than Michigan, where state leaders appear to be even more insane than the leaders of Illinois.

Natural News urges farmers everywhere to fight back against this insanity and stand up for your divine right to produce your own food on your own property. Any government "authority" that attempts to take this right away from you is no authority at all: it is a tyranny.

With food prices already skyrocketing nationwide, and food security on the brink of systemic failures, only a government run by absolute fools would try to limit local food production.

Perhaps when these bureaucrats are all starving one day, they can eat their regulations.

Sources for this article include:
(1) http://michiganradio.org/post/state-agricult...
(2) http://www.offthegridnews.com/2014/05/02/mic...
Learn more: http://www.naturalnews.com.

And as I mentioned above, Obamacare also contains a huge incentive to get divorced. In fact, according to a recent Breitbart article some couples are already considering doing this…

Nona Willis-Aronoqitz, 29, and Aaron Cassara, 32, are full-time freelancers and earn more than $62,000 a year, which means they do not qualify for the subsidies under Obamacare. The couple realized, however, they would be able to afford the plans if they divorce.

Not only that, two single people living together can actually make far more than $62,000 a year and still be eligible for large Obamacare subsidies. This was explained in a recent article posted on the website of The Atlantic…

Any married couple that earns more than 400 percent of the federal poverty level—that is $62,040—for a family of two earns too much for subsidies under Obamacare. “If you’re over 400 percent of poverty, you’re never eligible for premium” support, explains Gary Claxton, director of the Health Care Marketplace Project at the Kaiser Family Foundation.

But if that same couple lived together unmarried, they could earn up to $45,960 each—$91,920 total—and still be eligible for subsidies through the exchanges in New York state, where insurance is comparatively expensive and the state exchange was set up in such a way as to not provide lower rates for younger people.

So Obamacare is going to motivate millions of Americans to make less money and get divorced.

What a wonderful law.

Lawyer for family of mother killed in White House incident arrested as claims of coverup persist

Eric Sanders, lawyer for the family of 34-year-old Connecticut mother Miriam Carey who was fatally shot by law enforcement in early October near the White House, was arrested Tuesday.

He is being held on a $181,666.66 bond and was ordered by a judge to pay an additional $1,000 for every day he remains behind bars.

According to the New York Post, Sanders -- who was a New York police officer before he became a lawyer who built his practice by taking discrimination suits against the NYPD -- was arrested at his Melville, Long Island, home for failing to keep court dates and pay settlements.

He is accused of reneging on payments owed to former employee Mary Rocco, who sued him for firing her in 2005 after she became pregnant.

Rocco’s attorney, Tracey Bernstein, slammed Sanders for professing to be a civil rights lawyer while violating the civil rights of her client.

Sanders has claimed he is unable to pay Rocco and has since filed for bankruptcy, but Bernstein finds this odd since he reportedly has a $900 monthly NYPD pension, a $10,000 per month income from his law practice and recently boasted to a local newspaper of a $500,000 legal settlement in another case.

On Oct. 4, Sanders held a news conference with the family of the slain Carey’s family in front of her home.

Meanwhile, accusations of a cover-up in the new mother’s killing persist. Sanders and the family say Carey did not ram into the White House barricade deliberately but was attempting to make a turn. Other reports allege that police threw a tire iron at her car as she was attempting that turn.

Reports say Carey, who had a 1-year-old baby, was suffering from post-partum depression and had had delusions of President Obama stalking her. Her daughter was in the car with her when she was shot, but was unharmed.

Her family disputes much of what was reported, saying instead that Carey was gunned down unnecessarily.

Otherwise people would be dropping dead from eating rice. But what the FDA totally glossed over was the long-term health risks from chronic exposure to arsenic.

That's where our real concerns are found, and that's the issue that the FDA completely ignored. The FDA's exact language on this is, "agency scientists determined that the amount of detectable arsenic is too low in the rice and rice product samples to cause any immediate or short-term adverse health effects."

Yeah, goofballs. We already knew that.
