<p>I agree, Tara, for those of us not in heavy urban areas I see no great need to move. The 'safe haven' concept appealed to me mainly because I have a sys in place that's conceptually, very similar. Being in a small town with a large agricultural, self-reliant tradition has made my task more of a barter building/mutual support effort than anything else.</p>

<p>I'm not sure there's an absolute need to relocate to these safe haven locations unless you are living in the eye of the storm, a heavily populated urban area. Living where I do in WI, it is mostly rural, farm country in every direction. And if it doesn't work out here... my family can always head back up NE to the Upper Peninsula of MI. It is pure country up there and even have family that literally live in the deep of the woods. And many people up there are already living off the grid. It's…</p>
