I found small chain saw engines work great, .. obviously industrial works best. You can buy junk or great stuff through CHINA, just depends on your purchase honestly.

I agree with the mounting and chain sprocket alignment, but that is minor really. I myself did have a TAMI-SCORPIAN race scoter, and it lasted me 12 years. It was always in the back of my work truck, and my brother kept one in his 172 cessina, for when he landed at small outta the way air ports. it save bucket loads…

My Father keeps one on his 42' Viking, for the same reason,.. Most boat harbours are pretty far from shopping for food stores and stuff.

I think the idea will clearly revive ... it is due it's revival of cheap transport, at minimal costs.
This would be awesome! Sadly…tag:12160.info,2016-02-24:2649739:Comment:16145792016-02-24T02:48:38.955ZAmaterasu Solarhttps://12160.info/profile/AmaterasuSolar

Main Problem with these is the quality of the metal, it's the cheap, weak "pot-metal" that can't be welded and will break at the slightest over-torque of a wrench. Another trick is to get the chain aligned right or it will derail the chain constantly. the cheasmo rubber engine mounts were crap, we made our own because the motors would vibrate more and shit was always coming loose, screws, nuts, clamps, carburetors.... The 180$ ones were $140 when we were messing w/ them in 2011, never bought any thing higher up than $150 @ 60cc (50cc limit in VA before ya need a licence) They weren't designed for daily use fer sure, but fun as all hell. Even more fun when ya got like 4-5 middle aged fukstix tooling around like a juvenile bicycle gang w/ speed!!!...lmao. And yes...You CAN get a DUI on one...Ask my bud Dennis.....lol. Beach Cruiser bikes made the best rides.

Longest trip we did was 56 miles...28 up, 28 back...took all afternoon because they need to cool down after 10 mile jaunts...lol, was a blast. The Fad has since faded...D's DUI kinda killed it for us....
What is the power plant?
