(Joe Veix)  Earlier this week, Anonymous vowed to go after police in Ferguson following their shooting of Michael Brown. On Thursday morning, they followed through, providing the supposed name of the officer who shot the unarmed teen.

The St. Louis County Police Department responded, claiming that Officer Willman doesn’t work for them.

Anonymous is promising to release further info on a set schedule. At 10 a.m. CT, they delivered on their promise to release a photo of the officer, from one of his Facebook posts.

If he is in fact the shooter, his Facebook comments—in which he’s clearly trying to hide his identity online, and claiming to be bored—are incredibly damning.

It’s worth noting that previously, @TheAnonMessage accounttweeted a fake pic of a KKK protest in Ferguson, before deleting it. According to the Twitter account @Crypt0nymous, the Anonymous IRC channel named ~4 other potential shooters (h/t Adrian Chen). The officer named, however, still might be the correct shooter.

At 12 p.m. they will disclose his address, and at 2 p.m. a full dox on the officer.

Update: The @TheAnonMessage account has been suspended by Twitter. A second account, @TheAnonMessage2, has been created.
