American author Naomi Wolf has openly stated that she believes the videos of recent ISIS beheadings could be fake.
Wolf—often described as a feminist and the author of books such as The Beauty Myth and Vagina: A New Biography—recently posted her claims on Facebook. According to The Daily Mail, in one post Wolf wrote the following.
“OK two of the hostages just happened to go from long careers into the military to… sudden humanitarian work (same was true of the latest British hostage). Where are they getting all these folks from?”
The post later disappeared from her wall. Wolf has defended her statements, claiming that she was actually critiquing the journalistic integrity of the reporting.
“The NYT (New York Times) yesterday ran a depressingly sloppy editorial claiming that all the ISIS beheading videos must be real because ‘there are so many of them on YouTube. THAT’s journalism? They also called ISIS ‘evil’ many times—which is not language of a news analysis…”
Wolf went on to write that “it takes five people to stage an event like this—two to be ‘parents’—two to pose for the cameras…one in a ninja outfit…and one to contact the media that does not bother checking who ANY of these four other people are…”http://www.inquisitr.com/1522570/american-author-naomi-wolf-claims-isis-beheading-videos-are-fake/
