Experts from the Illinois Department of Health, Rush University Medical Center and the C.D.C have a strategy in place in case someone arrives with the virus at a Chicago airport.
Hospitals are also making sure they are able to handle an outbreak.
"We have checkpoints for instance at Chicago O'Hare, so if someone comes in, we have a quarantine center there. Again, we'll coordinate with C.D.C.," said Dr. Lamar Hasbrouck from the Illinois Department of Public Health.
