Carts of Darkness is a look into the extreme sport of can collecting. These guys live on the streets and play on the streets. Bombing hills at 50+ miles an hour while riding shopping carts loaded
with cans and bottles, their prize is cashing their collections and
buying a bottle. Their passion for the drink and downhilling is what
drives these men in their quest for speed.

The hilarity and irony behind this story is, yes the German and Chinese "smugglers" will be punished, but the 'damaged goods' they tried to bring into the US will still be sold to the American people. For obvious reasons of a quick big buck for the corporations who have been selected to sell the product. But, it is NOT okay for a Mexican farmer (legal citizen or not) to sell his fruits (literally and yes pun intended) of his labor on the side of the road, which are more than likely NOT tainted with anything.
The Return of feudalism and the birth of Virtual Feudalism-Virtual Currencies
Google Invests Millions in Zynga to prepare for the launch of "google Gaming"

http://techcrunch.com/2010/07/10/google-secretly-invested-100-million-in-zynga-preparing-to-launch-google-games/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+Techcrunch+%28TechCrunch%29

Through this method of forceful fraudulent venture capital investing, Google is now throwing the fact that the only way (easy and well known way) to make money on the internet is by partaking in the Virtual Casino feudalism system, that is Zynga online gaming and other internet based casino style gaming.

http://www.bcp.7-eleven.com/index.php/in-the-spotlight/in-the-news/1035-7-elevenr-and-zyngar-offer-exclusive-farmville-mafia-wars-and-yoville-products-in-store-and-virtual-gifts-in-game

(even the title for this article is really creepy and morbid sounding "Business Conversion Program", yikes.
7-11 and Zynga/Google have teamed up to help the Wall St. Financial Terrorist keep everyone at a feudalistic state and to help keep the devaluation of the dollar keep on going without having to lower interest rates. (if they were to lower interest rates any lower, it would be so catastrophic and obvious that even they would be effected by it.) So this way, they just hedge and artificially leverage another form of a fake currency against the already widely used and in circulation US dollar (technically the US dollar is so weak, and is not backed by anything, it too could be declared a form of virtual currency).

Farmville Zynga Earned credits, a new method of purchasing goods in real life and vise-verse?
http://www.voncoelln.com/eric/2010/05/28/zynga-invades-the-7-11-on-my-block/

Yep, now you too can partake in the casino gulag virtual feudalism racket via 711 and Zynga's farmville. Rack up enough farmville credits on your account and you spend that on either things at 711 that give you more things to add to your virtual feudalism farm, or, spend the points on 711 'food'. Enjoy the ease of effortless clicking all day long on farmville just so you can head over to 711 for a purchase of questionable 'food'. Another one of the many ways the Financial Terrorist and big fascist corporations have discovered to keep the average person down, and to keep the US dollar devalued and non competitive against the new virtual currencies that are reigning supreme.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/02/27/mexican-migrants-return-h_n_170625.html

The Economy is taking care of the Mexican Migration Influx in America. The Neocons dream has come true, but with it a bad Economy as well. Mexican migrants (legal or Illegal) are now returning back to Mexico because the economy in the US is so bad, that they have found that the US dollar is not getting them as much as it use to. Also, there has bee na huge influx of the US dollar being spent down in Mexico, meaning that there are more US citizens down in Mexico spending their dollar there instead of here in the US.

Also, there is a new reverse economic cycle of "trickle up theory" or the "trickle north system". Where as before, Mexican migrants would come up here to the US and work for the US dollar, and send it back down to their families in Mexico. Well the horrible economy here in the US has caused a reverse in that shift. Now, Mexican families down in Mexico are sending money they've made down in Mexico to their families here in the US to help support them, or Legal Migrants who have been here for years, are now returning to Mexico to work down there just to send money from Mexico back up here to their families to help support them.

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/11/16/world/americas/16mexico.html

And of course, we can't forget this classic gem. "Bankers Arm Themselves in scare of possible populace uprising."

http://www.thefirstpost.co.uk/56866,people,news,goldman-sachs-staff-arm-themselves-against-public-claims-buffett-biographer

Didn't the founders proclaim that the people should be arming themselves against their government? Well, here is another example of the new 'Reverse Economic cycle." Where the people who's only job it ever was, was to hold and monitor the peoples money, that's it. Well, they have now decided to take up arms against the people.

Cheap Chinese labor products, now more expensive.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/07/19/chinas-cheap-labor-era-is_n_648234.html

Another great example of the new 21st Centuries Reverse Economic cycles, Chinese cheap labor made goods now (and soon even more) surpass the price of American made goods. Yes, in theory it sounds like a good thing, but it is not. Try to think of things still made here in the US and how easily they are obtained.... Exactly, you can't. So now, not only will the producrs be cheap in quality, but they will now be highly expensive. It also does not help that 90% of the precious minerals mined to manufacture pretty much all of today's technology (that include lithium batteries in hybrid cars) comes from China, and China has declared it will no longer be exporting these materials to countries such as North and South America and some countries in Europe.

I walked into Big 5 the other day to look for first aide kits, and as I walked past the gun department, I noticed they now carry fully Militarized AK-47's and MP5's. In the ad it lists they only carry the .22 LR round magazine ones, but the lady in the store told me they can now order the .40 cal AK's and M4A1's as well. They also carry M4A1's with Silencers on them and double loading magazine. The lady who worked in the gun department also told me the loop holes that allowed them to sell such weapons is that, they do not have the front mounted pistol grip on them. Now, maybe this is just me, but I don't think anyone really needs a double loading clip, silenced M4A1 or a double loading clip AK-47 (whether it be .22 LR or .45 cal) or, I don't see anyone hunting any kind of game with a Spec Ops style MP5 with a Banana clip, laser eyesight scope and silencer. Like I said, it could just be me, and maybe that's how the new hunters like to hunt their desired game, but I think Big 5 has something else in mind......Currency Collapse May Stimulate Economic Expansion, BIS Says. Okay, I thought I had heard all the retarded, Idiotic, stupid, dumb-ass, lunacy verbal diarrhea. But this pretty much takes the bate, "Currency Collapse May Stimulate the Economy". And the Explanations for how such an impossible scenario would play out, almost makes the title of the article some what of a 'sane statement'. This is by far, one of the worst performances of gov-speak/double-speak in quite a long time, and a long line of continuous spin in the media and other places of society. On top of that, the article is making it seem like we've been through a currency collapse before, no, no we have not, never. The great depression was NOT a currency collapse, but an act of out of control hyper inflation, due to the creation of centralized reserve banking (Federal Reserve Bank), and the condition of the land back then (seeing as almost more than half the economy back then was based on land production, and agriculture). Yes, there are a few other reasons for the great depression besides those, but most are debatable, at best, or just random analysis. Anyways, this just goes to show how much the mainstream media is willing to test the average persons (and your) ability to think. A good way to see the reactionary bases on this delusional spew of idiocy by Bloomberg and the MSM, fallow your favorite trend forecaster index (twitter, facebook, etc.) and see who is reacting to this in what way, and from that, you will be able to see how many people are actually buying this nonsense garbage.

http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=a_5mOmIKorjs

Now, does this guy really look like he's enjoying the post currency collapse 'stimulated economy'?

Currency collapses tend to spur a resumption of economic growth rather than fueling a decline in gross domestic product, according to the Bank for International Settlements.

Currency collapses are associated with permanent output losses of about 6 percent of GDP, on average, though the drop tends to appear beforehand, the Basel, Switzerland-based BIS said in its quarterly review yesterday.

“This suggests that it may not be the currency collapse that reduces output, but rather the factors that led to the depreciation,” Camilo E. Tovar wrote in the study. “To gain a full understanding of the implications of currency collapses on economic activity it is important to carefully examine the full circle of events surrounding the episode.”

The positive effects of a weaker currency on GDP, including making local products cheaper than imported goods, may outweigh the negative ones, such as rising inflation. Currency collapses occur when the annual exchange rate drops by about 22 percent, according to the BIS, which identified 79 such episodes, “more commonly in Africa than in Asia or Latin America,” since 1960, Tovar said.

“They also occurred under all types of currency regimes, except possible floating-exchange-rate regimes, where there are simply too few observations to obtain meaningful estimates,” the BIS said.

Economic Contraction

The euro tumbled about 20 percent against the dollar between Nov. 25, 2009, and last week as investor concern over record budget deficits in countries including Greece spurred speculation the 16-nation currency union may split. The European Union in May crafted a 750 billion-euro ($908 billion) rescue package to stem the crisis.

Greece’s economy will contract 3.9 percent this year and 1.2 percent in 2011, after shrinking 2 percent in 2009, according to the median of eight economist estimates compiled by Bloomberg. The euro-region will expand by 1.1 percent this year and 1.5 percent in 2011, after falling 4.1 percent last year, median forecasts show.

Hans-Werner Sinn, president of Germany’s Ifo economic institute, said on June 3 that it would be best for Greece to leave the euro instead of implementing an austerity program to reduce its deficit. Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou pledged budget cuts worth almost 14 percent of GDP to bring the deficit within the EU limit of 3 percent by the end of 2014.

“The real solution for Greece would be to leave the euro followed by a depreciation” of the new currency, Sinn said in an interview at a conference in Interlaken, Switzerland.

Growth May ‘Dominate’

European Central Bank Executive Board member Lorenzo Bini Smaghi said on May 28 that there are “no alternatives” for Greece beyond following the austerity program.

“Before drawing policy conclusions we should emphasise that these results are subject to a number of caveats,” the BIS said in the report. “Most importantly, the analysis does not address the reasons why currency collapses occur in the first place. Our analysis also has little to say about the mechanisms involved after the currency collapse takes place. While we cannot disentangle the various factors, our results do suggest that expansionary mechanisms tend to dominate.”CSI: Financial Terror - Staring Max Keisertag:12160.info,2010-05-22:2649739:BlogPost:1853052010-05-22T19:35:01.000ZLocaltarianhttps://12160.info/profile/Awho

to fight the communist forces during the Vietnam War in what is known
as "The Secret War". Known as some of the world's best guerilla
fighters, the Hmong loyally served as an efficient counter attack to
communist forces on America's behalf.
In 1975 the US withdrew from the region, leaving the Hmong behind in
communist controlled territory to fend for themselves. Many attempted
to flee to refuge in Thailand, thousands were killed by Lao and
Vietnamese forces during that journey. Some returned to their villages
where they suffered retaliations such as death and prison, and even
others escaped to the remote mountains and jungle in fear of that same
fate.
Today, some 5000 Hmong veterans of the CIA's secret war and their
descendants remain hiding in those same mountains. Life today is harder
then ever before as they live a life forever on the move, under
constant attack by the Lao and Vietnamese armies. They defend
themselves with antiquated guns and those taken from dead enemy
soldiers. Neither man, woman, nor child is spared in the government's
genocidal attack against them.
The military attacks are far from their only worry however. Living a
life on the run prevents the Hmong from farming or domesticating
animals, ensuring that every day is a battle just to survive as food is
scarce. They must forage the jungle for the roots and tree bark that
they survive off of.
While most of the world has long forgotten about the Hmong, the Lao
government has not. In December 2009 the Thai government forcibly
deported 4000 Hmong refugees back to Laos at the government's request.
This latest move is one that worries the jungle Hmong the most. Now,
there is no hope of escape or refuge and the seemingly never ending
battle truly has no end in sight. Their cries for help to the world's
leaders have once again been overshadowed by international politics and
they are left to play the unwilling pawns.

Former Department of Justice lawyer John Yoo suggested in 2005 that the US should go on the offensive against al-Qaeda, having
“our intelligence agencies create a false terrorist organization. It
could have its own websites, recruitment centers, training camps, and
fundraising operations. It could launch fake terrorist operations and
claim credit for real terrorist strikes, helping to sow confusion
within al-Qaeda’s ranks, causing operatives to doubt others’ identities
and to question the validity of communications.”

United Press International reported in June 2005:

U.S. intelligence officers are reporting that some of the insurgents in Iraq are using recent-model Beretta 92 pistols, but
the pistols seem to have had their serial numbers erased. The numbers
do not appear to have been physically removed; the pistols seem to have
come off a production line without any serial numbers. Analysts suggest
the lack of serial numbers indicates that the weapons were intended for
intelligence operations or terrorist cells with substantial government
backing. Analysts speculate that these guns are probably from either
Mossad or the CIA. Analysts speculate that agent provocateurs may be
using the untraceable weapons even as U.S. authorities use insurgent
attacks against civilians as evidence of the illegitimacy of the
resistance.

Why Should I Care?

You may ask yourself “why should I care?”

You should care because terrorism harms the economy. Specifically, a study by Harvard and the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) points out:

From an economic standpoint, terrorism has been described to have four main effects (see, e.g., US Congress, Joint
Economic Committee, 2002). First, the capital stock (human and
physical) of a country is reduced as a result of terrorist attacks.
Second, the terrorist threat induces higher levels of uncertainty.
Third, terrorism promotes increases in counter-terrorism expenditures,
drawing resources from productive sectors for use in security. Fourth,
terrorism is known to affect negatively specific industries such as
tourism.

The Harvard/NBER concludes:

In accordance with the predictions of the model, higher levels of terrorist risks are associated with lower levels of net
foreign direct investment positions, even after controlling for other
types of country risks. On average, a standard deviation increase in
the terrorist risk is associated with a fall in the net foreign direct
investment position of about 5 percent of GDP.

Moreover:

Terrorism has contributed to a decline in the global economy (for example, European Commission, 2001).

And see this.

In addition, you should care because terror causes governments to strip liberties and civil rights from the people:

“This and no other is the root from which a tyrant springs; when he first appears he is a protector.”
- Plato

“If Tyranny and Oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy.”
- U.S. President James Madison

“Terrorism is the best political weapon for nothing drives people harder than a fear of sudden death”.
- Adolph Hitler

“Why of course the people don’t want war … But after all it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it is always a
simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a
fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship …
Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of
the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are
being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and
exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.”
- Hermann Goering, Nazi leader.

“The easiest way to gain control of a population is to carry out acts of terror. [The public] will clamor for
such laws if their personal security is threatened”.
- Josef Stalin

Indeed, the political causes you hold most dear will be derailed if false flag terror is carried out. To see that this is true, let’s take
a step back ..

Imagine, if you would, that you were a citizen in Germany right after the example of false flag terror by the Nazis discussed above had
occurred. Do you believe you could have stopped the government from
invading Poland by reminding Germans that war is bad and peace is good?
Do you imagine you could have stopped the brownshirts and loss of
domestic rights by writing about the desirability of civil liberties?
Do you think that you could have convinced people that protecting the
environment, or addressing human or civil rights, or helping the poor,
or education, or equality, or any other political crusade was more
important than “protecting the Fatherland” when Germans were terrified
for their safety?

Please think about it.

The German people were whipped up into a state of hysteria and fear, because they thought they were under attack by Poles and other “bad
guys”. The German’s were in shock, and rallied around their “strong”
leader (it wasn’t just the bad economy). Without first exposing the
truth that the attacks were false flag attacks – which were largely the
source and root cause of the German people’s fears, and which
allowed the German parliament and other institutions to hand Hitler
total power – the sweeping away of good political causes by the wave of
fear could not be stopped.

Moreover, the Nazis might have been derailed and perhaps brought to justice well before the Nuremberg trials if the false flag hoaxes had
been exposed at the time. The German people could have been spared from
the horrors inflicted on their nation and the world by the Nazis. And
sanity and positive political changes might have prevailed in
1940’s-era Germany.

Please think about it . . .

Those who do not learn history are doomed to repeat it.
Are we about to see "The Sh!t Hit the Fan" Here soon? 1 Million U.S. Soldiers vs The American peopletag:12160.info,2009-12-05:2649739:BlogPost:1318212009-12-05T06:27:27.000ZLocaltarianhttps://12160.info/profile/Awho

According to these reports, Obama has had over these past weeks “numerous” meetings with his war council about how best to manage the expected implosion of his Nations banking system while at the same time attempting to keep the United States military hegemony over the World in what Russian Military Analysts state is a “last ditch gambit” whose success is “far from certain”.

And to Obama’s “last ditch gambit”, these reports continue, he is to announce in a nationwide address to his people this coming week that he is going to expand the level of US Military Forces in Afghanistan by tens of thousands of troops, while at the same time using the deployment of these soldiers as a “cover” for returning to the United States over 200,000 additional American soldiers from the over 800 bases in over 39 countries they have stationed around the Globe bringing the level of these forces in America to over 1 million, a number the US Military believes will be able to contain the “explosion of violence” expected to roil these peoples when they learn their economy has been bankrupted.
These reports further state that at the same time Obama will be attempting to keep his Nation from violent disintegration, the tens of thousands of additional troops he will send to Afghanistan are to be ordered to Kandahar where the Americans and their NATO allies will begin their final attempt to secure their TAPI (Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan and India) pipeline, which without the Western Nations, due to their grave lack of alternative energy resources, and being cut off from these vast Central Asian supplies (which both Russia and China are seeking to insure), are warned will totally collapse.
Making the American’s (and by extension the West’s) situation even worse are new reports coming from the International Energy Agency stating that “under pressure” from the US government they have been “deliberately underplaying” a looming Global oil shortage for fear of triggering panic buying and raising the Americans fear over the end of oil supremacy because it would threaten their power over access to our World’s last remaining oil resources.
To the scariest “end game” maneuvers being made by Obama, in his attempt to protect Americas Global hegemony, is his record shattering move in plunging the United States $3.5 Trillion further into debt, and which raises the total amount owed by the United States, to its citizens and the World, to the unprecedented height of over $106 Trillion.
So alarming has Obama’s actions become (especially since they are being imitated by all of the Western powers) that the managing-director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Dominique Strauss-Kahn, warned this past week that the “stimulus actions” of the West (which in essence is nothing more than the printing of money with nothing to back it up) has now become a “threat to democracy” as millions of people are expected to erupt in violence against their governments over the theft of their money and their futures.
Most unfortunately for the American people though is that this IMF warning fell on “deaf ears” in the United States with the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis President, James Bullard, saying this week that the US would continue its “stimulus actions” because they “would give more flexibility to US policymakers”, a most absurd statement especially when viewed in the light of the unprecedented debt payments currently looming over the American economy they have no ability whatsoever to pay.
To the ability of the West’s banking giants to save their Nation’s economies, even worse news came this week with the US ratings giant Standards & Poors issuing a warning that “every single bank in Japan, the US, Germany, Spain, and Italy included in S&P’s list of 45 Global lenders remain unsafe”, a warning which then lead to one of Europe’s largest banks, Société Générale, warning its clients to prepare for a “total Global Economic Collapse”.
To the fears of Obama over the United States erupting into civil war once the full extent of the rape and pillaging of these peoples by their banks and government becomes known to them, grim evidence now shows the likelihood of this occurring much sooner than later, especially in new poll figures showing that Obama’s approval rating among white Americans has now fallen to 39%. A number made more significant when one realizes that the white population of the United States comprises 74% of their estimated 398 million citizens, or put more ominously in these reports as “over 220 million American people armed to the teeth and ready to explode”.
And so fearful has the white population of the United States become that upon the election of Obama to the Presidency he was named as the “Gun Salesman of the Year” by the Outdoor Wire, the US’s largest daily electronic news service for the outdoor industry, who report “panic buying” of weapons and ammunition by those fearful of the destruction of their country at the hands of man they believe is not even an American citizen and had been foisted upon them by their elite classes seeking to enslave them.
Though the coming civil war in the United States is being virtually ignored by their propaganda media, the same cannot be said of Russia, where leading Russian political analyst, Professor Igor Panarin has long warned that the economic turmoil in the United States has confirmed his long-held view that the US is heading for collapse, and will divide into separate parts.
Professor Igor Panarin further stated in his warning that “the US Dollar is not secured by anything. The country’s foreign debt has grown like an avalanche, even though in the early 1980s there was no debt. By 1998, when I first made my prediction, it had exceeded $2 trillion. Now it is more than 11 trillion. This is a pyramid that can only collapse.”
What remains to be seen, and these reports do not speculate upon, is if the citizen-soldiers of the United States will fire upon and kill their fellow countrymen during the coming conflict, but if history is to be our guide clearly shows this will be the case as the once great American Nation continues its headlong plunge into the abyss of history. May God have mercy upon all of them.YAL (Young Americans for Liberty) Are we Rebuilding the Wall?tag:12160.info,2009-11-21:2649739:BlogPost:1281492009-11-21T19:11:44.000ZLocaltarianhttps://12160.info/profile/Awho

Thanks to the generous support from over 60 contributors, YAL chapters received $100 activism grants to build a wall on their campus.

As a result, this event earned more media coverage than any other to date! Over 40 news stories from newspapers, television outlets, blogs, and radio stations covered YAL chapters.

Pictures from the day's events can be found by visiting our Flickr page here.

Today, we are also announcing the winners of our best event contest:

1. First place receives a $500 activism grant for a future event, and the winner is the YAL chapter at Washington University in St. Louis.
2. Second place receives 3 signed copies of Ron Paul's Audit the Fed, and it's a tie between YAL at St. Cloud State University and Indiana University at Kokomo.

YAL at Wash U built a soviet-style gulag in the middle of campus to demonstrate the dark-side of communism. It didn't take long before the university administration shut them down because they didn't have "approved tools." Unbelievable!

Listen to Jonathon's firsthand account of the administration's actions in the video below. These are the battles YAL chapters face every day:
Enough is enough. Join hundreds of taxpayers on November 16th, when we demand that Goldman Sachs give its $23 billion in bonuses to foreclosure prevention programs and press Congress to implement rules that would protect Americans from big bank greed.

Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein may have had his tongue in his cheek when he said his bankers were doing “God’s work,” but the company’s critics aren’t laughing.

In fact, a couple hundred of them — led by Service Unions International Union president Andy Stern — plan to gather outside of Goldman Sachs’ Washington offices Monday morning to protest the firm’s mega-bonuses, and demand the end of the "too big to fail" doctrine, according to a press release.

The event will be held outside 101 Constitution Ave. N.W., an office building that’s home to many of the most powerful lobbyists and corporations in town, including Goldman. It’s also where you can find POLITICO’s Capitol Hill bureau (in the basement).

Among their demands, the protesters will say that Goldman bankers should donate their reported $23 billion in bonuses to foreclosure prevention programs.

Public Citizen will release a new report during the event analyzing how much the various bailout recipient like Goldman are spending lobbying on financial reform, which the groups say is aimed at squashing real reform.

Goldman is one of the few large financial firms that early on chose not to lobby against the left’s favorite part of the financial reform package — the creation of a consumer financial protection agency. And most if not all of the major Wall Street players say they agree no firms should be too big to fail and support at least the principle behind Democrats’ proposals to end the "too big to fail" era.

But Goldman and other Wall Street firms are very opposed to a new idea gaining traction on the “to big” front — legislation that would empower the federal government to preemptively break up big, complex or interconnected firms even if they’re healthy. Goldman is a member of a coalition, Partnership of New York City, that will meet with the New York congressional delegation next week to urge their resistance to such measures.

Measures like Kanjorski’s would “inflict particular damage on New York, … [and] we hope every member of the delegation will make it their business to oppose them,” the group wrote in a Nov. 11 letter to the New York delegation, which was full of statistics showing the importance of the financial industry to News York — directly employing more than 680,000 people statewide and each one of those Wall Street jobs generating or maintaining an additional 3.3 jobs in other areas.

“There are plenty of ways to achieve reform and reduce risk and taxpayer exposure without destroying institutions that are the anchors of our global financial center,” the group wrote.$1.3 Million is being spent to remove the largest tag in the country from the LA River.tag:12160.info,2009-11-02:2649739:BlogPost:1208782009-11-02T07:44:04.000ZLocaltarianhttps://12160.info/profile/Awho
The symbolic MTA tag is two football fields in length. Are graffiti tags a big enough problem in our society to spend millions of dollars in buffing them during a recession? We'll let you decide. The US Army Corp? A little too far?

Officials today began removing a massive piece of graffiti from the Los Angeles River in downtown L.A.

This concrete channel east of downtown runs through two rail yards and has become the ultimate proving ground for graffiti vandals vying for visibility and reputation.

The centerpiece is something officials say is one of the biggest tags in the United States: Three block letters that cover a three-story-high wall and run the length of several blocks between the 4th Street and 1st Street bridges. It spells out "MTA" -- Metro Transit Assassins.

A group of alleged taggers were arrested in January in connection with the "MTA" graffiti. They are awaiting trial and are being asked to pay restitution if they are convicted.

These huge graffiti projects take paint rollers, not spray cans. Some of the most elaborate tags take days.

Cleaning graffiti from the river is far more expensive than cleaning other areas. Officials use high-pressure water spray to remove the toxic paint. But hazardous-material crews must then dam and capture all the runoff to prevent it from getting into the riverbed.
Contractor workers for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers begin painting over the gigantic letters, "MTA," along the concrete bank of the Los Angeles River Thursday Oct. 8, 2009. "MTA" stands for "Metro Transit Assassins." Authorities contend the letters were painted on the riverbank by up to 40 taggers. (AP Photo/Damian Dovarganes)
So far, Ron Paul has once again hit it out of the park on his points, resolutions, ideologies

and understandings of the topic he's addressing. In End the Fed Ron Paul goes into explaining

how it is not only fiscally responsible, but is also a wise choice for one to understand

money; it's value, where it comes from, how it's created and who is responsible for it. Those

who are stuck on the idea that "money sucks" or that "money is the problem", are really just

uniformed and uneducated on the fiscal responsibility and role that money plays in a

Libertarian based society. It is not money in itself that is the problem, but rather the form it

is taken.

A civilized, well working and proper functioning civilization (society) needs a form of

money in order to continue and to progress. It needs a SOUND money system, a currency

backed by more than just a fed chairman's word. The currency (money) must also be

created, distributed and kept in a proper form. Unlike today, how we have a central

banking system (cartel) over printing an already weak and debt ridden form of a currency.

Creating a currency out of thin air will only lead to one direction, downward. This takes

the entire economy with it, in such a way none but the fed chairman can be held

responsible for. Most folks wont be willing to admit it, but remember a few months ago,

as in April, well most people do not know, but at that time we were recovering from "The

Great Recession" of 2008 - 2009. A Recession spanning from September 2008 all the way

to May of 2009. Yes, the economy has not gotten any better, but rather worse. This was

triggered by the influx of "stimulus" that was passed during that time of "Recession".

Unfortunately since no one out there in the D.C. crime house knows proper and real

Economics, we are now forced to suffer through a "Greatest Depression". While during

that "Great Recession", if taken the proper steps (steps offered by Ron Paul, Peter Schiff,

Max Keiser, Ludwig Von Mises, etc.) we could actually be, right now, going through a

slow, painful, but yet much more positive recovery scenario. But, as said before, the mass

influx of "stimulus" has shattered that hope forever, permanently.

You see, though depending on its form, money can be very evil, sinister, and

devastating it is also crucial for survival. It is necessary for maintaining a free society, a

healthy economy depends on it. Sound money is also crucial for preventing unnecessary

wars. Limiting Political power is also impossible without it. To understand money, one

must completely understand the role, the power, and the regulations a central banking

system can make, and does. In the United states, we have the Federal Reserve, where the

UK has the Bank of England, the instruments by which our money and credit are constantly

manipulated for a privileged class. Ron Paul also goes into how more than half of

Americans have no idea where their money comes from, who's in control of it, and how it

is created. By the Fed of course, the "Independent" Banking reserve.

The Origin of the Fed. The Average American does not really think much about the fed,

rather than it is a strange entity that makes their money for them. And not, the fact that it

is a private central reserve with controls and powers beyond that of congress and even

the president. They simply accept that it as though it has always been there, where as that

is not the case. Anyone visiting Washington D.C. can see the huge monument of the

Federal reserve, which opened it's doors for operation in 1937. Since then, we've had

numerous fed chairmen come before congress and the supreme courts, spouting coplex

data, making predictions, and attempting to intimidate anyone who would take issue with

money and the economy.

Though I am only on Chapter 3 of the book, I can already tell, this is going to be a great

read. Definately up there with Dr. Paul's work, such as his "The Revolution, A Manifesto"

and "Pillars of Prosperity", and of course "A Foreign Policy of Freedom". End the Fed is

great read for anyone, and I mean anyone; (anyone with an open mind that is). This book

even goes into counter arguments for conversations with Keynesian Economist and just

the average marketeer. I highly Recommend this book, for End the Fed goes into great

detail on what is happening to the Economy, not just ours, but also world wide. The first

chapter even goes into how important it is for a person to understand how the economy

work, how their money works, is used and created, as well as why the fed is there, how it

got there, and why it now needs to be shut down and ended. Quoted from the book; A

person who is well informed and has a good level of knowledge on how the economy

works and how their money works, and is suppose to work, is more likely to come out of

this economic catastrophe better off than the average "consumer" and "spender".'End the Fed' Author Ron Paul's NY Victory Laptag:12160.info,2009-10-04:2649739:BlogPost:1098492009-10-04T23:53:00.000ZLocaltarianhttps://12160.info/profile/Awho

On Tuesday afternoon, Congressman Ron Paul was in New York City, the financial district to be exact, hosting a book signing for End The Fed at Borders. While being escorted to his next event somewhere else on Wall Street, Paul asked his coterie if the NY Federal Reserve building was nearby. You can guess where the group detoured next.

Great music accompanies the clip and there are some classic lines from Paul and his supporters. My favorite was someone telling the Fed's building security guards that they better start looking for a new job. Beautiful line. Wish I had been there.

http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-fed-audit26-2009sep26,0,3764253.story

Reporting from Washington - It started more than a quarter-century ago as just another far-out idea from decidedly outside-the-mainstream politician Rep. Ron Paul -- allow detailed congressional audits of some of the most sensitive activities of the Federal Reserve.

For years, his proposal was as unlikely to become law as other longtime quests of the strongly libertarian Texas Republican, such as returning the nation to the gold standard and abolishing the Internal Revenue Service.

But Paul's idea to hold the Fed more accountable has gained traction throughout the financial crisis. On Friday, it moved a clear step closer to reality when the Democratic chairman of the House Financial Services Committee said he would push it forward.

The bill got exposure when Paul ran for the 2008 Republican presidential nomination. Then the Fed became a huge, controversial player in battling the financial crisis, invoking emergency powers to use hundreds of billions of dollars to help engineer the sale of Bear Stearns Cos. and bail out American International Group Inc.

Paul's legislation now has become a rallying point for Republicans and Democrats angry over the bailouts and the Fed's increased and mysterious role in the economy. More than two-thirds of the members of the House of Representatives have signed on as co-sponsors of Paul's "audit the Fed" bill.

The Fed strongly opposes the legislation, saying it would subject its decisions to political influence that could shake market confidence.

The support of Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.) gives a major boost to Paul's 26-year push to allow the Government Accountability Office to conduct detailed audits of some of the Fed's crucial activities, such as setting monetary policy and short-term lending to banks through its discount window.

Both actions are couched in various amounts of secrecy: minutes of monetary policy meetings aren't publicly released for three weeks, transcripts are shielded for five years, and banks that borrow through the discount window are never revealed to avoid the perception that they might be in trouble. Federal Reserve officials oppose the legislation, but Frank said he was committed to including it as part of a package of bills to revamp the financial regulatory system.

"We are serious about some legislation in this regard," Frank said during a hearing he held on the bill -- the first since Paul originally introduced it in 1983. Democrats and Republicans expressed strong support, reflecting anti-Fed sentiment in Congress, a hurdle to President Obama's plan to increase the Fed's power as part of his financial regulation overhaul.

"Nobody in my district thinks the Fed has done such a good job of running the economy that we should continue to cloak them in secrecy to protect them from second-guessing," said Rep. Brad Sherman (D-Sherman Oaks).

Paul said the Fed's increased profile during the financial crisis has led to questions about its complex operations and anger over its ballooning balance sheet, which has taxpayers on the hook for trillions of dollars in lending related to the financial crisis.

Americans "are disgusted and they put pressure on Congress. . . . The people said that it's time you guys woke up and started the proper oversight," Paul said after the hearing.

The Obama administration wants to give the Fed authority to supervise and regulate large institutions whose failure would pose a risk to the economy. The proposal adds to worries about the limited information on Fed activities. Frank reflected that, saying he also wanted to rein in the Fed's emergency lending powers.

But he expressed concerns that information from GAO audits could disrupt financial markets, saying he would seek to mandate a delay in the release of some information.

"No one should be able to do business with the federal government in secret forever. But we do recognize that if it's instantly available, there can be a market impact that would not be a good idea," Frank said. Paul said a wait of three to six months seemed reasonable.

Scott G. Alvarez, the Fed's general counsel, said that when Congress allowed GAO audits of the Fed in 1978, it specifically exempted certain "highly sensitive areas," including monetary policy deliberations and actions, discount window operations, and transactions with foreign central banks and governments. Detailed information about those activities "would cause the markets and the public to lose confidence in the independence and judgment of the Federal Reserve," Alvarez told the committee.

He noted that a full, independent audit of the Fed's financial operations is conducted every year and that Chairman Ben S. Bernanke has taken steps to increase the amount of information the central bank releases.

Alvarez said GAO audits were not like traditional accounting audits. The congressional watchdog has power to question Fed officials and to make policy judgments about the central bank's operations.

"The concern that we have is that monetary policy, to be effective . . ., has to be as free as possible from political considerations," Alvarez said.

But Paul questioned what the Fed was hiding.

"Fifteen or 20 years ago, nobody really cared," he said, noting that most people knew the Fed only for its interest-rate decisions. "Now they're wondering whether it isn't the Fed that stirred things up."Big turnout for the little Texan: Ron Paul at the Utag:12160.info,2009-09-26:2649739:BlogPost:1064442009-09-26T21:30:00.000ZLocaltarianhttps://12160.info/profile/Awho

All of those companies were fined millions of dollars for wrongdoing and yet they are not being censured or prohibited from receiving additional monies from our government. No Republicans are calling for the censorship of monies going to Lockheed or Black Water under its new name or Dyncorp for the blatant offenses of their employees. Republicans are receiving thousands of dollars from these military contractors so the misdeeds of those companies are not being criticized nor are there calls to end funding for them as they have done with Acorn. Acorn had three employees who gave information to someone posing as a prostitute and pimp. This is far less of an offense than murdering, causing deaths by faulty wiring or engaging in sexual contact with child sex slaves. Where is the Republican outrage for the crimes of the military contractors receiving billions of tax money?

If you think speeches attacking the U.S. Federal Reserve couldn't excite a Friday night crowd on a college campus, think again.

About 2,000 people -- students and older adults who were in the majority -- filled Northrop Auditorium at the University of Minnesota to cheer libertarian Rep. Ron Paul, a Texas Republican, as he joined Rep. Michele Bachmann to preach the gospel of a less powerful federal government.

Before Bachmann, R-Minn., introduced Paul, she hailed legislation of his that would require a detailed audit of the Fed. The crowd jumped to its feet and roared approval.

When she described the Fed's actions helping the banking industry as "shrouded in secrecy," one man jumped up and yelled, "Ponzi scheme!"

Paul came onstage to a standing ovation, and he quickly denounced the government's actions in dealing with the financial crisis. He also touched on themes popular with advocates of less government. He criticized gun control and deplored government initiatives to restrict smoking. He said U.S. foreign policy could lead to another military draft.

"We ought to have a right to keep what we earn, which means there would be no income tax," he said, to hearty applause.

While Bachmann also received loud applause, it was a crowd that came mostly to hear Paul, and it stood often and held signs that read, "Liberate America, Say No To Socialism."

A moderator took written questions after Paul's speech. When one asked why Paul opposed socialism, saying it's worked for European countries, it triggered hoots and laughs.

Paul said his Fed audit bill is written to "get the books open," but added that it could lead to the Fed being eliminated.

Paul also espoused positions not always favored by other GOP conservatives. He criticized the use of hidden surveillance cameras to crack down on crime, referring to it as a violation of civil liberties.SNEAK PEAK Into Camp FEMAtag:12160.info,2009-09-24:2649739:BlogPost:1054032009-09-24T19:16:34.000ZLocaltarianhttps://12160.info/profile/Awho

If you haven't bought your copy yet, be sure to pick one up today. And remember - with the holiday season coming up, End The Fed would make a great gift.

PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania — Pittsburgh police arrested at least 14 protesters on Wednesday as security was ramped up dramatically on the eve of the G20 summit.

Most of those detained were activists from the Greenpeace pressure group, caught as they abseiled from one of Pittsburgh's iconic river bridges to deploy a banner reading: "Danger. Climate destruction ahead."

Pittsburgh police headquarters said the demonstrators had been arrested at the scene on suspicion of "possession of instruments of a crime, disorderly conduct, conspiracy and obstruction."

The leaders of the world's 19 biggest national economies plus the European Union have begun to arrive in Pittsburgh for two days of talks on the economic crisis and climate change.

Ahead of their arrival, Pittsburgh has beefed up security with thousands of extra police officers and a huge steel security, seeking to avoid a repeat of the violence that marred April's G20 summit in London.

Three secure areas in the heart of the city near the conference venue have been designated as official protest zones, but access to the summit sites itself will be strictly controlled.

US secret service officers are due to conduct an overnight sweep to ensure the conference center and related buildings are safe, and mounted officers and hazardous materials units are deployed nearby.

City leaders hope to use the summit to showcase Pittsburgh's remarkable economic turnaround from dilapidated former steel capital to a thriving hub of high technology industries.

Small businesses, however, were taking few chances on the eve of the talks. Many plan to shut during the two day meeting, and workmen were boarding over shop windows in the downtown business district.

Previous global summits have attracted serious crowd problems, in North America most famously in at the 1999 World Trade Organisation meeting in Seattle, when anarchists among a 40,000 strong crowd battled police.

The most recent G20 summit in London also saw violent scenes, and British police were criticized after footage filmed during the demonstration showed an officer beating a bystander who later died.

Several groups have announced plans to hold what they saw will be peaceful protests in Pittsburgh, including Greenpeace, which wants leaders to commit tens of billions of dollars to encouraging third world emissions cuts.

"Eight Greenpeace activists scaled the iconic West End Bridge and dropped an 80 foot by 30 foot (24 meters by 9 meters) banner off the side at about 10:45 am," Greenpeace campaign coordinator Gabe Wisniewski told AFP.

Pittsburgh's 29-nine-year-old mayor Luke Ravenstahl has said protesters will be allowed to exercise their constitutional freedom of speech and assembly "within sight and sound" of the summit venue.

Ravenstahl has also called in 4,000 federal police officers to back up local security forces during the summit.

On Wednesday, workers' and environmentalist movements will be holding a concert, which 10,000 people are expected to attend.

The following day around 1,000 people are expected to march towards the summit venue in a protest organized by the Pittsburgh G20 Resistance Project.
LONDON (Dow Jones)-U.K. Prime Minister Gordon Brown said Wednesday the next six months will be the true test of whether governments can come together to tackle the economic crisis, climate change and security issues.

In his speech to the United Nations General Assembly in New York, Brown said there had been strong cooperation over the last year on the international economy but that leaders "cannot be complacent."

"For while it may seem strange to say so after a time of such intense global action, our world is entering a six-month period which may prove even more testing for international cooperation," he said.

Ahead of the Group of 20 developed and developing nations meetings in Pittsburgh Thursday and Friday, Brown said governments must deliver on commitments to maintain fiscal stimulus if they are not to "choke off recovery."

He said the Pittsburgh G-20 summit needs to ensure "proper planning of exit strategies" from the anti-crisis policy measures and must aim for strong global growth that is "balanced and sustainable."

He said that will require "facilitating agreement setting clear objectives on how each of us can best contribute to worldwide growth in the future."

On climate change, Brown repeated his call for a $100 billion fund to help developing countries adapt and said now was the moment for action.

"Not later, at another conference, in another decade, after we have lost 10 years to inaction and delay," he said.

Brown has committed to attending December's Copenhagen climate change conference to try and secure a deal.

U.K. officials say Brown has received a good response in New York from other leaders to his call for heads of government to attend the Copenhagen summit. Officials also say there was broad support for the $100 billion climate change fund at a climate change dinner with world leaders late Tuesday.

In his remarks, Brown also warned Iran and North Korea that they could face stronger sanctions if they pursue nuclear weapons programs. And he confirmed that as part of efforts to secure non-proliferation of nuclear weapons and a reduction in stockpiles, his government will consider reducing its nuclear weapon submarine fleet to three from four.

The move could also save his cash-strapped government billions of pounds.

Also Wednesday, Brown met with business leaders in New York to discuss the investment climate in the U.K. with senior executives from the likes of Johnson & Johnson (JNJ), HSBC PLC (HBC) and Coca-Cola (KO).

He also co-chaired a UN meeting on health in poor countries and announced the U.K. will give GBP250 million to a financing mechanism helping poor nations widen access to free health-care, starting with pregnant women and children.

PITTSBURGH — On the eve of a summit of the world's 20 top economies, the Obama administration pressed leaders on Wednesday to overcome differences and work together more closely in confronting thorny financial and environmental problems.

"We simply cannot walk away from the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression and not do everything in our power to reform the system that contributed to this breakdown," Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner told a congressional panel in Washington.

President Barack Obama, delivering his first speech to the U.N. General Assembly in New York, urged world leaders to join him in confronting an abundance of global challenges.

"Those who used to chastise America for acting alone in the world cannot now stand by and wait for America to solve the world's problems alone," he said. Obama was to arrive in Pittsburgh Thursday afternoon. The summit will conclude Friday.

Leaders gathering here face daunting challenges in overcoming differences on major issues ranging from restraining bankers' bonuses to overhauling financial regulation and plotting a future course for sustainable growth as the worst of the downturn appears to be over.

As some leaders began arriving, police said 14 members of the environmental group Greenpeace were arrested on two bridges. They faced various charges, including possession of an instrument of a crime, disorderly conduct, conspiracy and obstruction.

First, four environmental protesters rappelled off the West End Bridge over the Ohio River, dangling perilously over the water while steadying a large banner warning of "climate destruction" if world leaders don't act to control carbon dioxide emissions. After about two hours, the protesters climbed safely back up to the bridge deck.

Police said they arrested nine in that episode. Police spokeswoman Diane Richard said five others wearing harnesses and preparing to rappel off another span, the Fort Pitt Bridge, also were arrested.

Although the U.S. has urged G-20 countries not to scale back stimulus spending programs just yet, it will be hard to maintain such a stance in light of recent improvements in all the major economies, including a far brighter assessment by Federal Reserve policymakers on Tuesday.

The Fed left interest rates unchanged at low levels while signaling a willingness to begin to unwind some of the rescue programs it established at the depth of the recession. "Economic activity has picked up following its severe downturn," the Fed policymakers said, a more optimistic view than they issued in August when saying economic activity was "leveling out."

Dominique Strauss-Kahn, head of the International Monetary Fund, warned that the earlier "cooperation took place because everybody was scared and understood it was not time to fight one against the other one, but to work together.

"Will it last beyond the crisis?" the IMF chief asked in an interview with PBS' "News Hour with Jim Lehrer." "That's the big question. It has to for the sake of the global economy. Is it absolutely sure? I won't say."

Obama signaled he will use the G-20 summit to call for an end to extensive government subsidies that encourage the use of fossil fuels, such as oil, coal and natural gas, which are blamed for contributing to global warming, He will propose a gradual elimination, with the time frame to be determined, according to White House officials.

Many countries, including the U.S., provide tax breaks and direct payments to help produce and use oil, coal, natural gas and other fuels that spew carbon dioxide, the chief greenhouse gas. However, this proposal was likely to spark opposition from China and possibly some other major greenhouse gas emitters such as India and Russia.

Geithner, in an appearance before the House Financial Services Committee, warned against complacency amid signs of a global rebound. The panel was focusing on the administration's sweeping overhaul of the U.S. financial system. But Geithner's testimony echoed the appeal he and Obama are making to other members of the leading economies group.

The talks in Pittsburgh will be held under heavy security. Thousands of police were busy erecting security barriers along the streets around the convention center, the site of the gathering, on the Allegheny River. Many buildings and shops were closed. Police helicopters buzzed overhead. Most of downtown was to be closed to traffic on Thursday and Friday, as were the city's three rivers.

Protesters have vowed to use the sessions as a stage to highlight their grievances against global capitalism.

There are many differences among the summit members. The gathering, which follows G-20 meetings last November in Washington and this past April in London, includes older industrial powers along with major fast-growing developing economies such as China, India and Brazil.

In the financial arena, the U.S. wants the other countries to adopt tougher rules on the size of the capital reserves banks must hold as a cushion against loan losses — which proved inadequate when the worst financial meltdown struck a year ago. But European countries argue that the U.S. proposal, as currently structured, would benefit U.S. banks at the expense of their European competitors.

However, the group is expected to endorse the U.S. call for a new "framework for sustainable and balanced growth," but without any major way to enforce commitments made to restrain imbalances such as China's huge trade surpluses and the United States' surging budget deficits.

European countries are expected to push harder than the U.S. for specific caps on banker's pay and bonuses. While China wants a greater role for it and other emerging economies and the U.S. has been pushing China's cause in the face of opposition from European countries, which would have to give up some of its voting powers.Polk undercover drug investigators play Wii during raidtag:12160.info,2009-09-23:2649739:BlogPost:1046222009-09-23T00:02:48.000ZLocaltarianhttps://12160.info/profile/Awho
With guns drawn and flashlights cutting through darkened rooms, Polk County undercover drug investigators stormed the home of convicted drug dealer Michael Difalco near Lakeland in March. As investigators searched the home for drugs, some drug task force members found other ways to occupy their time. Within 20 minutes of entering Difalco's house, some of the investigators found a Wii video bowling game and began bowling frame after frame. While some detectives hauled out evidence such as flat screen televisions and shotguns, others threw strikes, gutter balls and worked on picking up spares. A Polk County sheriff's detective cataloging evidence repeatedly put down her work and picked up a Wii remote to bowl. When she hit two strikes in a row, she raised her arms above her head, jumping and kicking. While a female detective lifted a nearby couch looking for evidence, another sheriff's detective focused on pin action. But detectives with the Polk County Sheriff's Office, the Auburndale, Lakeland and Winter Haven police departments did not know that a wireless security camera connected to a computer inside Difalco's home was recording their activity. The recording obtained by News Channel 8 showed several members of the county's High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) task force entering the house shortly after 8 a.m. According to the search warrant, their mission was to search for drugs, stolen property and the fruits of any illegal drug activity. Now there are questions on how the impromptu bowling tournament might affect the case against Difalco. Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd denies it will have any effect. "That absolutely is not true; that doesn't invalidate the search at all," Judd said. "Now the defendant would like for it to invalidate the search, but unfortunately for him, it won't." Judd, who watched the video during an interview last week, called the situation an embarrassment. "I'm not pleased that they played that Wii bowling game," Judd said. The sheriff's office oversees the drug task force. Judd said he initiated an internal administrative investigation of the incident. "That is not appropriate conduct at a search warrant," he said. "But I am less pleased with the supervision that didn't walk in and say, turn that off. That's what supervision should have done." Task force members played the video game at various times during the day, for a total of a little over an hour of playing time. The competition proved to be quite competitive at times. A task force supervisor from the Lakeland Police Department, gun at his side, pumped his fist after picking up a strike on the first ball he threw. The video showed he continued bowling frame after frame, competing with another undercover detective. "Obviously, this is not the kind of behavior we condone," Lakeland Police Chief Roger Boatner said. "There was a lot of down time, but that does not excuse the fact that we should act as the consummate professionals." "Certainly this was a case of bad judgment," Auburndale Police Chief Nolan McLeod said. "We will handle it appropriately." Winter Haven police Sgt. Brad Coleman said Chief E.C. Waters had not viewed the video. "If there is any indication that someone did something inappropriately, we will do something about it," Coleman said. Court records show detectives placed Difalco's home under surveillance as far back as December 2008. "We knew he had weapons," Judd said. "He's a bad guy." His history includes an extensive arrest record dating back to 1995. Difalco, 43, served three years in state prison from 2002 to 2005 for trafficking drugs, owning and operating a chop shop, and grand theft. In what Judd called "brilliant police work," the task force placed Difalco under surveillance and took him into custody, away from his home and weapons, during the early morning hours of March 6, in the parking lot of a Circle K convenience store on Highway 98. Documents filed with the court say, in the March raid, detectives removed methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, weapons and more than $30,000 in stolen property. The 11 charges against Difalco include trafficking methamphetamine, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and operating a chop shop. According to sheriff's office records, 13 detectives and three sergeants spent nine hours searching Difalco's property, for drugs, stolen property and signs of any illegal drug activity. The raid cost taxpayers more than $4,000. Judd, Boatner and McLeod agree the bowling was inappropriate. But they challenge the notion that taxpayer dollars were wasted. "It was an expansive scene, a lot of searching to be done, a lot of waiting," Boatner said. "The nature of a search warrant is hurry up and wait," Judd said. "Am I trying to defend the fact that they were bowling, not at all. That was inappropriate." Not just inappropriate, but Tampa defense attorney Rick Escobar would argue the moment detectives turned on that video game and effectively seized it, they turned the search warrant into an illegal search. "I've never seen anything like this," Escobar said after he viewed some of the video. Escobar does not represent Difalco and has no connection to the case. "All the citizens are thinking, 'Wait a minute, we are paying these people to go out and protect us and here they are playing bowling on our time,' " he said. "The real question here is have they seized property that wasn't described in the search warrant?" Escobar asked. "Clearly if they're using it, they've seized it and for totally improper purposes, because it's for entertainment. Investigations are not for entertainment." Difalco's attorney declined comment. Chip Tulberry, a spokesperson for the Polk County State Attorney, declined to comment on the video, or the validity of the search warrant. "That's a discussion that will occur in court," he said.Secret interviews add insight to Clinton presidencytag:12160.info,2009-09-21:2649739:BlogPost:1040502009-09-21T21:46:44.000ZLocaltarianhttps://12160.info/profile/Awho
BALTIMORE — The call from the White House usually would come in late afternoon. President Clinton had a few hours open in the evening. Could he come over?

Taylor Branch, the Pulitzer Prize-winning author and civil rights historian, would pick up a notepad of questions and two microcassette recorders and drive his truck down Interstate 95 to Washington. Parking on the South Lawn, he would head to the White House family quarters for interviews so secret Clinton stored the tapes of them in his sock drawer.

What followed sometimes seemed like one of the bull sessions the two had two decades earlier when they shared an apartment in Austin, running George McGovern's 1972 presidential campaign in Texas.

In these interviews and a new book that has followed, Branch says he tried to capture Clinton's unvarnished perspective on the events swirling around his presidency, from the consequential to the occasionally comic.

Reluctant to discuss the affair with Monica Lewinsky that led to his impeachment, Clinton once lamented that it occurred when he felt sorry for himself and that he "just cracked" under the pressure of personal and political setback.

He also relayed how Boris Yeltsin's late-night drinking during a visit to Washington in 1995 nearly created an international incident. The Russian president was staying at Blair House, the government guest quarters. Late at night, Clinton told Branch, Secret Service agents found Yeltsin clad only in his underwear, standing alone on Pennsylvania Avenue and trying to hail a cab. He wanted a pizza, he told them, his words slurring.

The next night, Yeltsin eluded security forces again when he climbed down back stairs to the Blair House basement. A building guard took Yeltsin for a drunken intruder until Russian and U.S. agents arrived on the scene and rescued him.

Then there was Clinton's take on a heated, two-hour discussion he had with then-Vice President Gore just after Gore had lost the 2000 presidential election to Republican George W. Bush.

The meeting started politely enough, Clinton recalled. Then Clinton, who felt underutilized during the 2000 campaign, told Gore he could have tilted the election to the Democratic side if he had been dispatched to stump in Arkansas or New Hampshire, both states in which Clinton was popular. Either state would have provided the electoral votes Gore needed to win.

Gore replied that Clinton's scandalous shadow was a "drag" that had plagued Gore at every step of the campaign. The two "exploded" at each other in mutual recrimination.

Clinton may be having some second thoughts about the 79 oral history interviews he gave to Branch during his presidency, their contents not yet released. The transcripts are in binders that fill a long shelf in the office he converted from a garage behind his home in Chappaqua, N.Y.

The former president has been on the phone with Branch for hours since he got page proofs of Branch's new book, The Clinton Tapes: Wrestling History with the President (Simon & Schuster), running "hot and cold" about the account based on Branch's recollections of their conversations.

"I think it's fair to say he's nervous," Branch, 62, said last week at his Victorian house here. Clinton didn't respond to several requests for comment.

The portrait that emerges from the 707-page tome is a president who reveled in policy and delighted in politics but "always thought he was trapped in the personal issues," Branch says. The description of Clinton's goals and thinking is more candid and more complex than in Clinton's 2004 memoir, My Life.

Still, Branch's book is more of a one-man show than a three-dimensional perspective: The world of the moment as seen through the president's eyes.

Branch waited until his civil-rights trilogy was done and Clinton's memoirs were published before turning to this book. Clinton didn't know Branch was making his own set of contemporaneous tapes, Branch says, "but I don't think he'd be surprised" that a historian would do so.

As he drove back to Baltimore after each interview, Branch would put a fresh tape in his recorder and recap what the president had just said. If he didn't finish during the hour-long drive, he would sit in his tree-lined driveway in the pre-dawn quiet, stifling yawns and talking into the recorder until he was done.

Declining to detail Clinton's concerns, he says: "The only thing I can say is that I didn't change anything that he asked me to change."

'I just cracked'

The president would be voluble on almost any topic, from the willingness of India and Pakistani leaders to threaten the death of millions in their standoff over nuclear arms, to his assessment of the Republican contenders vying to succeed him in 2000.

Texas governor George W. Bush "was unqualified to be president … but he had shrewd campaign instincts," Clinton told Branch. Arizona Sen. John McCain "might make a good president, but he had no idea how to run."

Clinton was less forthcoming when the topic turned to Lewinsky, whose affair with Clinton shook his marriage and his presidency. Branch says he felt "squeamish" about asking too much. Branch called the allegations of personal misconduct by public figures "familiar quicksand" from his years of studying the public and private life of Martin Luther King Jr.

When the topic did come up, Clinton usually offered the boilerplate responses he was giving in public. Once a special counsel was investigating first the Whitewater land deal and then the Lewinsky controversy, the two men skirted issues under investigation while the recorder was running to avoid having the tapes subject to subpoena and exposure.

But one night in August 1999, six months after he had survived the Senate impeachment trial, words "spilled out" from an emotional Clinton. He told Branch the Lewinsky affair began because "I cracked; I just cracked."

Branch said in the interview he believed that Clinton "had once maybe strayed more often than that and made a big resolution not to do it in the White House because there was too much at stake." Saying he was "speaking out of school," Branch went on: "From his point of view, he succeeded 99%, but then felt sorry for himself and lapsed."

The Democrats' loss of Congress in the November 1994 elections — on top of the death of Clinton's mother the previous January and the Whitewater investigation — made Clinton feel beleaguered, unappreciated and open to a liaison with Lewinsky, Clinton told Branch. The affair began during the government budget shutdown in November 1995 and resumed briefly a few months after Clinton's re-election in 1996 — a victory that he felt should have been vindication but didn't still his critics.

"He said he could have done worse," Branch writes. "He could have blown something up."

Behind the headlines

Sitting with Branch on the second floor of the White House, Clinton would rail against the news media and his Republican opposition for what he saw as pursuing the personal and the inconsequential rather than the substantive and important. At times he would admit that his own actions played a part in all that, especially in the Lewinsky affair, stoking the controversies that risked overshadowing everything else.

Branch, who kept a daily account of Clinton's schedule from news accounts, would set up two small recorders and pose questions he had written on a notepad, probing for details and insights beyond what was on the public record.

They often would meet in the Treaty Room but sometimes sat in the small family kitchen or on the Truman Balcony. In July 2000, during the Middle East peace negotiations, Branch was summoned for a session at the presidential retreat at Camp David.

Once done, Branch would rewind the tapes, label them and give them to Clinton. After several years, he learned the president was tucking them behind his socks in a chest of drawers, where they remained until he moved out of the White House.

Branch has never heard the tapes. Besides the president's scheduler, almost no one on the West Wing staff knew the interviews were taking place.

"I walked in on the two of them talking one night late in the residence and they both acted a little funny," remembers then-White House press secretary Joe Lockhart. "A year later in the Chappaqua house, after he'd left the White House, I saw a box of tapes sitting out and asked the president what they were, and he told me they were the Taylor conversations."

There was a roller coaster quality to some of the evenings, Branch recalls. Clinton, often exhausted, was a study in multi-tasking. One interview in 1995 was interrupted by then-Secretary of State Warren Christopher calling about air strikes in Bosnia; Clinton had been filling in a crossword puzzle and then began to deal a game of solitaire while continuing both conversations.

On the night of the Oklahoma City bombing in April 1995, the topics between Clinton and Branch included not only that catastrophe but also then-Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto's appeal to win delivery of more F-16 fighter jets and the legislative strategy of the new GOP House speaker, Newt Gingrich.

Then Chelsea, the Clintons' daughter, hovered at the door. She was writing a paper for her sophomore English class to describe the best and worst qualities of Dr. Frankenstein in Mary Shelley's famous novel, but she couldn't make her points fit on a single page, as assigned.

"He's reading it, and then he asked me to read it and what did I think? And where could it be shortened?" Branch recalls. "I've got the tapes going and I'm wondering, 'Am I going to be able to get back to the stuff I'm supposed to be doing? And will historians of the future think I'm an idiot for getting sidetracked off of these things with the president of the United States to be critiquing this homework assignment on … Dr. Frankenstein?' "

From the beginning, the interviews were designed to provide Clinton's perspective on his presidency as it was happening.

There have been White House recordings of one sort or another since Franklin Roosevelt, but the secret systems that taped phone conversations of John Kennedy and Lyndon Johnson and Oval Office meetings of Richard Nixon have been dismantled. A fear of investigations and subpoenas means presidents worry about being able to keep a diary private.

"The records preserved in presidential libraries are getting more voluminous but less personal," Branch says. "There's a mountain of paper, but it's really hard to tell what happened."

After the 1972 campaign, Clinton and Branch didn't speak to one another for 20 years. Clinton was building a political career in Arkansas; Branch was researching and writing a history of the civil rights movement from 1954 to 1968.

Clinton had read Parting the Waters: America in the King Years 1954-63— even the footnotes, many of them crediting records from presidential libraries. As president-elect, he asked Washington Post publisher Katharine Graham to put Branch and his wife, Christy Macy, on the guest list for a glittering dinner party Graham hosted. There, Clinton pulled Branch aside for a brief conversation.

His question: How could he be sure his presidency had records that would give historians a similar window into what was going on behind the scenes?

Dictating a diary

Branch says the two conferred several times about it during the administration's opening months. Clinton proposed Branch fill the role Arthur Schlesinger Jr. played in the Kennedy administration, a sort of court historian on the White House staff. Branch declined. Clinton tried dictating a diary but found it unwieldy; he said he needed to be interacting with someone.

In September 1993, Branch agreed to do oral history interviews with Clinton until the president could train someone on his staff for that role. No one else was ever trained, and their sessions continued until Clinton left office in 2001.

The president was determined to keep them secret to avoid what he saw as inevitable demands for disclosure.

"I was constantly wrestling with, 'What is my job?' " Branch says. "Basically, my first goal was to say, 'This is about history. … I want to get as much raw material on the record as possible.' But it was never that simple."

Branch was there as a historian but he also was a friend, and Clinton at times would seek his advice. From 1998 to 1999, Branch's wife worked at the White House as a speechwriter for Hillary Clinton. As Bill Clinton finished his memoirs, he surprised Branch with a $50,000 "bonus" for his help in laying the groundwork for them.

Publication of Branch's book has underscored the conflicting agendas of friend and historian.

Clinton on several occasions had encouraged Branch to write a book about their sessions, albeit at some undesignated point in the future. The author used the advance he received from the publishing house Simon & Schuster to have his own tapes transcribed; he had stored them in a safe deposit box at a bank.

Those tapes will be available to researchers next year at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

The former president had planned to use the interviews he had given when he wrote his book, but there is little sign he did. As he neared the deadline to submit his manuscript in 2004, he invited Branch to Chappaqua to read the first 700 pages. Branch was stunned to find that with only a month or two to go until his deadline, Clinton was just beginning to write about his time in the White House.

In one of their few arguments, Branch urged him to delay publication or split the memoir into two volumes — one now, a second later. Clinton refused. In the end, My Life "skims the surface" of his presidency like a hovercraft, Branch says.

For historians wanting to plunge into the Clinton presidency, the unprecedented interviews will be invaluable, says Russell Riley, head of the Presidential Oral History Program at the University of Virginia's Miller Center of Public Affairs. He calls their existence "a major historical event," though Clinton hasn't said when and under what conditions they might be available to scholars.

"There is a poverty of original-source accounts of what truly is happening in the White House (because) people are afraid to put things down on paper," Riley says. The recordings "hold a great deal of promise for us in getting a better picture of at least what President Clinton's mentality and understanding were at critical moments of his presidency."
Texas Straight Talk By: Dr. Congressman Ron Paul
http://www.house.gov/htbin/blog_inc?BLOG,tx14_paul,blog,999,All,Item%20not%20found,ID=090921_3531,TEMPLATE=postingdetail.shtml

Two weeks ago, both the administration and the Fed announced with straight faces that the recession was over and the signs of economic recovery were clear. Then last week, the president made a stunning decision that signals the administration’s determination to repeat the mistakes of the Great Depression. Much like the Smoot-Hawley Tariffs that set off a global trade war and effectively doomed us to ten more years of economic misery, Obama’s decision to enact steep tariffs on Chinese imported tires could spark a trade war with the single most important trading partner we have. Not only does China manufacture a whole host of products that end up on American store shelves, they are also still buying our Treasury debt.

One has to wonder why this course of action is being undertaken if the administration really believes its own statements about economic recovery. Why are they still trying to fix something they have supposedly already fixed? The most troubling thing is the rhetoric about free trade given to justify this. The administration claims it is merely enforcing trade policies and that this is necessary for free trade. This sort of double speak demonstrates a gross misunderstanding of free trade, economics and world history. Yet these are the same people the country trusts to solve our problems. This sort of thing should remove all doubt about the credibility of the decision makers in Washington.

The truth is this will hurt American consumers by driving up prices of tires and cars. This will also complicate matters for our already crippled manufacturing and agricultural industries, if and when China retaliates against US made products. Whatever jobs might be saved in the tire and steel industries here as a result of this protectionist measure will likely be lost in other American industries. It is even doubtful that those jobs will be saved, as cheap tires can be obtained from other places like Mexico instead. It is difficult to see any real winners among all the losers where trade wars are concerned. If Unions think this is beneficial to them, they are being penny-wise and pound foolish.

Free trade with all and entangling alliances with none has always been the best policy in dealing with other countries on the world stage. This is the policy of friendship, freedom and non-interventionism and yet people wrongly attack this philosophy as isolationist. Nothing could be further from the truth. Isolationism is putting up protectionist trade barriers, starting trade wars imposing provocative sanctions and one day finding out we have no one left to buy our products. Isolationism is arming both sides of a conflict, only to discover that you’ve made two enemies instead of keeping two friends. Isolationism is trying to police the world but creating more resentment than gratitude. Isolationism is not understanding economics, or other cultures, but clumsily intervening anyway and creating major disasters out of minor problems.

The government should not be in the business of giving out favors to special interests or picking winners and losers in the market, yet this has been most of what has consumed politicians’ attention in Washington. It has reached a fevered pitch lately and it needs to end if we are ever to regain a functional and prosperous economy.More Acorn Scandals and crimestag:12160.info,2009-09-21:2649739:BlogPost:1035892009-09-21T18:20:37.000ZLocaltarianhttps://12160.info/profile/Awho

"By 1853, Parliament began passing laws to make the untested vaccine compulsory throughout the British Empire. Other countries of Europe followed suit. Once the economic implications of compulsory vaccinations were realized, few dared to disagree. Then, as now, the media were controlled by the vaccine manufacturers and the government, who stood to make huge money from the sale of these spurious vaccines..."
What is in the Regular Flu Shot?

* Egg proteins, including avian contaminant viruses
* Gelatin, known to cause allergic reactions and anaphylaxis are usually associated with sensitivity to egg or gelatin
* Polysorbate 80 (Tween80™), which can cause severe allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis
* Formaldehyde: a known carcinogen
* Triton X100: a strong detergent
* Sucrose (table sugar)
* Resin, known to cause allergic reactions
* Gentamycin, an antibiotic
* Thimerosal: mercury is still in multidose vials

Analysis of material by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention by Dr. Russell Blaylock. (September 5, 2009)

Critical Observations:

* Doctor visits for flu are down from the level in April.
* Total flu hospitalizations are similar or lower than for seasonal flu (yearly flu).
* The number of deaths secondary to flu and pneumonia is unchanged from yearly rate.
* Only two states are reporting widespread infections – Georgia and Alaska. Other states report only regional or sporadic activity, meaning it’s not very contagious.
* There is no evidence that the virus has mutated at all anywhere in the world.
* The virus remains susceptible to the drugs Tamiflu and Relenza.
* Only 43,771 cases have been reported in the United States. Because of poor reporting the CDC estimates that true numbers indicate that one million have been infected. Many people did not get sick enough to go to a doctor. Likewise, not all people are tested who go to a doctor.
* Of these 5,011 have been hospitalized and 302 have died.

Death Rates From the H1N1 Flu
* If we use the 43,771 figure and 302 deaths that means the death rate is 0.6 percent, an extremely low death rate for any flu.
* The percentage of hospitalized patients who died was 6 percent, again a very low incidence of death.
* Since the CDC estimates that one million have been infected, we must recalculate death rates. Using this more accurate figure, the death rate is in truth 0.03 percent, which means 99.97 percent will not die from this flu. Your chances of dying are incredibly low.

Age and Death Rates

We hear a lot about the unusual age distribution with this virus, especially as regards death rates, with the young being more affected than, as with seasonal flu, the elderly (90% of deaths are usually among those greater than 65 years old). The risks of becoming infected are as follows:

Ages 5 to 24 y/o: 26.7 per 100,000 (0.027%)

Ages 0 to 4 y/o: 22.9 per 100,000 (0.023%)

Ages 25 to 49: 6.97 per 100,000 (0.0069%)

Ages 50 to 64 y/o: 3.9 per 100,000 (0.0039)

Over 65 y/o: 1.3 per 1000,000 (0.00013%)

And the risk of needing to be hospitalized are:

Ages 0 to 4 y/o: 0.0045%

Ages 5 to 24 y/o: 0.0021%

Ages 25 to 45 y/o: 0.0011%

Over 65 y/o: 0.0017%

This indicates that for all age groups, the risk of being hospitalized are far less than 1 percent and well over 99 percent of people will not need hospitalization.

This explains why this infection is being downplayed by the virologists themselves, the ones who know most about the dangers of viruses.

The distributions of death also vary considerably by age. Below is the distribution of deaths according to age.

Ages 25 to 49 y/o: 41%

Ages 50 to 64 y/o: 24%

Ages 5 to 24 y/o: 16%

Over age 65 y/o: 9%

Ages 0 to 4 y/o: 2%

So, we see that the greatest death rates in the extremely small fraction that die are between ages 25 to 49 and 65 percent are between ages 25 to 64.

The least likely to die are babies up to age 4 years, yet they are targeted for vaccination and as we see from the above data, children below age 2 years get absolutely no protection from the flu vaccines.

Analysis of the New Government Projections to the Media

If we analyzed it according to the worst case scenario released by the government we see far lower figures than being projected:

They say 150 million Americans will be infected. That is 150 X as many as now infected, and represents a much larger figure than now estimated with a 6 to 6.5 percent of a localized population.

For the United States itself with a population slightly over 300 million, their figures indicate a 50 percent infection rate. There is nothing to indicate such a high infectivity rate from the past 7 months of analysis.

It should also be appreciated that the infections will not occur all at once, but will slowly evolve, as we have seen thus far, meaning that at any one time a much smaller amount of Americans will be infected – which also reduces the numbers who will require hospitalizations at any one time, and who will need ICU care.

As far as the number that will need hospitalization, the government now says there will be 1.8 million people hospitalized, of which 300,000 may need ICU treatment.

If we use the existing data we see that the numbers are quite different. At the time the data was taken, 303 people out of one million infected died and 5,011 needed hospitalization. This means a projected hospitalization incidence of 750,000 and a death rate of 45,000 deaths. Remember, this is using their data applied to the outrageously high figure of 50% of the population being infected – that is, 150 million people.

If the infection rate is 6 percent, as all the studies have shown thus far, we see much smaller numbers.

Instead of 150 million infected we see 18 million infected. Using these more realistic figures we can estimate a hospitalization rate of 90,000 and a projected death incidence of 5436.

Again, it is important to keep in mind that the infections will be evolving and not all at once as both sets of figures seem to imply. If we spread this over several months and waves of the infection, we see that at any one time the hospitalizations will be a much smaller number, as will the deaths.

Thus far, there have been nationwide 2,000 hospitalizations a month and 99 deaths a month.

Certainly the hospitals in the United States can handle the increase. In the United States we have 5,759 hospitals containing 955,000 beds and 70,000 ICU beds. Most hospitalized people will not require intensive care. Most are suffering from dehydration and only required IV fluid infusion.

It should also be appreciated that most pediatric deaths and elderly deaths will occur early in the epidemic because the chronically ill and immune suppressed will become infected early. Therefore one would expect the deaths to rise initially and then fall as the infection spreads as we see from this graph:

In this chart we see that the hospitalization rates are actually lower for the swine flu than in previous seasons.

In this graph we see that the hospitalization rates were either lower or barely above the seasonal flu admissions in the previous two years.

We can see from the CDC’s own data that the hospitalization rates and death rates are no higher, in fact they are significantly lower, than the previous two to three flu seasons.

It is obvious that the government is using “scare tactics” to promote vaccine use in the United States and that the pharmaceutical makers of vaccines are in bed with these officials.

The public should be outraged.

Why Do Some Die From Such a Mild Virus?

As stated by the virologists, this virus is no more a danger than the seasonal virus that visits each year and actually seems to be much weaker.

One may also note from the CDC’s own data, the previous nonsense about 36,000 dying from the seasonal flu every year is pure fiction. We have had a little over 400 deaths nationwide over the past 5 months, nowhere near the 36,000 figure screamed from the airwaves and our TV sets, yet the public is in a state of panic.

So, why are some dying from this virus?

What is little understood by the general public is that the only reason people die from the flu is that they have either an immune suppressing chronic illness, such as diabetes, direct immune dysfunction, dietary deficiencies of critical immune-supporting nutrients, chronic pulmonary disease, heart disease or cancer.

Smoking powerfully suppresses immunity as well as damages lungs, and we know that smokers are much more likely to suffer complications and die than non-smokers.

Excess dietary omega-6 fats (corn, safflower, sunflower, soybean, peanut and canola oils) also severely weaken immunity. The EPA component of omega-3 oils also powerfully suppresses immunity.

A study by the CDC found that 32 percent of children dying from H1N1 flu had asthma, when the incidence of asthma in the general population was 8 percent. Two thirds of the children who died had neurological disorders, such as seizures and cerebral palsy.

So, the vast majority of children who are dying have one of a number of chronic health conditions, yet the media gives us the impression that perfectly healthy children are dying.

A recent study of why so many died during the 1918 flu pandemic found that most of the deaths were secondary to bacterial pneumonia and not the flu virus itself. In 1918 hospitals had little to offer a sick patient – there were no antibiotics, other than sulfur drugs, no IV fluids and no respirators – all they could offer was a warm bed and aspirin.

It was also disclosed that the number of flu-related deaths among children was lower this year than the previous two years.

What are the Virologists Saying?

Virologists are scientists who study viruses – their classification, their genetics, methods of spread and their ability to cause disease. No one knows more about this virus than the virologists.

The British science magazine, The New Scientist, recently polled 60 virologists to get their opinion. These are the results of specific questions:

Notice there was no mention of taking the swine flu vaccine.

Behind the push to vaccinate the entire population are the pharmaceutical makers of the vaccines, who are working in conjunction with the government to make the vaccine mandatory.

Homeland security and FEMA are pushing for forced vaccinations and the medical experts, virologists and epidemiologists are calling for calm and resorting to voluntary vaccination only. The former have links with the vaccine manufacturers via political contacts. A great deal of money will be made by the manufacturers, should forced vaccinations be mandated.

Will This Vaccine Be Tested?

According to Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, 5 tests are planned. It is not clear as to the use of the squalene adjuvants, ASO3 and MF-59.

Because of concerns raised, the FDA is now hedging. Independent studies of squalene used as a vaccine adjuvant indicates that it is associated with a very high incidence of autoimmune diseases, such as an MS-like neurological syndrome, rheumatoid joint disease and especially Lupus.

The developer of MF-59 is Chiron pharmaceuticals, which was purchased by Novartis pharmaceutical company, who will be the main supplier of the swine flu vaccine for the world. According to Dr. Fauci, testing in both children and adults will be without this adjuvant and he admits that we have no data on the safety in children. (See Nature Vol 460/30 July 2009, p. 562 for the interview.)

There are 5 tests scheduled for safety before mass vaccinations will resume. I looked up on clinicaltrials.gov the actual studies being done. It is instructive to note that the only studies actually being done do not contain any adjuvant (the immune booster) either for babies or adults. Yet, when the mass vaccinations begin, the vaccines will have adjuvant added, possibly squalene.

The real irony here is that this is the same bait and switch game they played in the 1976 swine flu vaccine disaster.

They tested one vaccine and gave a different one during the mass vaccinations.

Here we go again. Over 500 people were paralyzed with Guillain Barre disorder. The incidence was much higher, because it was not a reportable disease. And over 300 people died, which is also a very low figure.

Dr. Fauci admits that they have no idea what will happen when they mix the three viruses from the vaccines together or when they are given sequentially. When he was asked if the results of the studies would be reviewed by the health authorities, he answered, “yes, except for those done by the Novartis company.”

He justified this secrecy by saying that Novartis had a very advanced testing system, which was done “in-house” – that is, in secrecy.

It is also important to appreciate that this vaccine has been fast-tracked, meaning that many of the usual safety precautions used to prevent contamination of the vaccines will be overlooked by the regulatory agencies.

According to a number of studies, vaccine contamination is widespread, with vaccines containing pestivirus, mycoplasma, viral fragments, DNA fragments and bacterial components, all of which can produce chronic systemic disorders, cancer, neurologic diseases and even slow brain degeneration.

The Following was composed by Dr. Russell Blaylock as a method to reduce autoimmune reactions to the flu vaccines only. Do not use this if you have the flu itself. These are just general observations and not medical advice. You should work with your doctor for a specific program.

Treatment for Toxic Vaccine Exposure

1. Place a cold compress on the site of the injection immediately after the injection and continue this as often as possible for at least two days. If symptoms of fever, irritability, fatigue or flu-like symptoms reoccur – continue the cold compresses until they abate. A cold shower or bath will also help.
2. Take fish oils – I recommend the Norwegian fish oil made by Carlson Labs – it has the correct balance of EPA and DHA to reduce the cytokine storm. The dose is one tablespoon a day – if severe symptoms develop – two tablespoons a day until well and then switch to one tablespoon a day. Children – one teaspoon a day.
3. Curcumin, quercetin, ferulic acid and ellagic acid as a mixture – the first two must be mixed with extravirgin olive in one teaspoon. Take the mix three times a day (500 mg of each).
4. Vitamin E (natural form) 400 IU a day (high in gamma-E).
5. Vitamin C 1000 mg four times a day.
6. Astaxanthin 4 mg a day.
7. Zinc 20 mg a day for one week then 5 mg a day.
8. Avoid all immune stimulating supplements (mushroom extracts, whey protein) except beta-glucan – it has been shown to reduce inflammation, microglial activation and has a reduced risk of aggravating autoimmunity, while increasing antiviral cellular immunity.
9. Take a multivitamin/mineral daily (one without iron – Extend Core).
10. Magnesium citrate/malate 500 mg of elemental magnesium two capsules three times a day.
11. Vitamin D3:
1. All Children – 5000 IU a day for two weeks after vaccine then 2000 IU a day thereafter.
2. Adults – 20,000 IU a day after vaccine for two weeks then 10,000 IU a day thereafter.
3. Take 500 mg to 1000 mg of calcium citrate a day for adults and 250 mg a day for children under age 12 years.
12. Avoid all mercury-containing seafood.
13. Avoid omega-6 oils (corn, safflower, sunflower, soybean, canola and peanut oils).
14. Blenderize parsley and celery and drink 8 ounces twice a day.
15. Take Jatoba tea extract (add 20 drops in on cup of tea) one day before the vaccine and the twice a day thereafter. (You can get it here.) It is inexpensive.

Dr. Mercola's Comments:

Dr. Blaylock has done a wonderful job of interpreting the misleading data and fear mongering put out by conventional media. Mark my words, the "expected" casualties from the swine flu, recently released by a presidential advisory panel are nothing but pure fiction.

On August 25, CNN reported that the swine flu could cause up to 90,000 deaths in the U.S. alone. This is downright preposterous. As Dr. Blaylock discusses above, there are absolutely no indications to validate these kinds of numbers. Instead, it's sounding more and more like the bird flu hoax all over again.

So one of the most important, and potentially life-saving measures you can take is to make sure you have IDEAL vitamin D levels. The ONLY way to do this is to get your blood tested and make sure the ranges are between 50 and 70 ng/ml. My recommendation is to use Lab Corp. If you are using Quest, please divide your level by 1.3.

The typical dose most adults need is around 5000 units per day. However, the dose could go to 20,000 units a day or even higher. The ONLY way to know is to have your blood tested.

Dr. Cannell is on one of my colleagues in this area and has done enormous good in educating the public about this issue. Unfortunately we do not share the same position about vaccines. He is actually advising people to take them and he strongly believes that there is a chance that it could save people's lives.

I couldn't disagree more strongly with his position but I respect his right to maintain it. Just reminds me that the last position nearly every physician is willing to give up is their position on vaccines. I have seen it time and time again. So while Dr. Cannell has done us all a major service in educating us on vitamin D, I believe he hasn't taken the next step and evaluated the vaccine issue as carefully as he has the vitamin D one.
Dear Friend of Liberty:

One day, you hear a loud knock on your front door.

But it’s not a neighbor visiting or someone trying to sell you a subscription.

Instead, it’s a federal agent -- the federal government’s newest threat to your liberty demanding to check your household appliances . . . your light bulbs . . . your thermostat . . . and this is NO JOKE.

Believe me, I wish it was.

But should the so-called Cap and Trade Bill (which should be called Cap and Tax) pass, what I just described could be EXACTLY what you and I see in home after home, town after town all across our country -- along with skyrocketing taxes, home electric bills and heating prices.

That’s why it’s vital you sign the petition linked at the end of this letter to your U.S. Senators, insisting they vote against this dangerous power grab IMMEDIATELY.

You see, if passed, Cap and Tax would give the federal government UNPRECEDENTED control over the private sector -- and our very lives.

Big Government bureaucrats in Washington would effectively be able to tax businesses for emitting more carbon dioxide than they think is “appropriate.”

Just as bad, they’ll be able to demand you change your way of living -- forcing you to “retrofit” your house with “government-approved” light-bulbs, refrigerators, water heaters, toilets, air conditioners, and whatever else they can dream up.

And don’t think for a second they won’t send around federal jackboots to make sure you’re complying.

In fact, the Cap and Tax Bill SPECIFICALLY AUTHORIZES just such intrusive home visits by government snoops, empowered to sniff around your basement, climb into your attic and search your closets.

And that’s not all.

You see, Cap and Tax is just another excuse for Big Government to reach their greedy little hands deep into our wallets.

If passed, Cap and Tax would:

*** Increase taxes by $650 BILLION, virtually guaranteeing that our economy gets even worse and NEVER recovers;

*** Result in over ONE MILLION lost American jobs per year as energy-intensive industries are forced to shut their doors or move overseas;

*** Allow Big Government politicians to decide which businesses get taxpayer subsidies and which ones are shut down, virtually guaranteeing massive corruption on a scale we’ve never seen before in the United States.

And don’t believe the lies. This bill has nothing to do with the environment.

In fact, the best experts agree Cap and Tax will have almost zero impact on the environment anyway -- except, of course, for lost jobs, higher taxes, and blighted small towns and rural communities.

So what is Cap and Tax really about?

Raw government POWER.

Government POWER to tax.

Government POWER to enter your home to “check for compliance.”

And government POWER to control the economy, our lives and our freedom.

Just take a look at Spain -- the Cap and Taxers’ “shining” example of an eco-socialist paradise.

There, unemployment is approaching 20% and rising.

And what about all those new “green” jobs Cap and Tax apologists are claiming will be generated?

In Spain, for every new “green” job created (at a taxpayer cost of $800,000 EACH mind you), 2.2 economically-productive jobs are destroyed!

The fact is, passage of Cap and Tax could send our economy nose-diving off a cliff!

So it’s never been more important that you act TODAY.

The good news is, Campaign for Liberty has a plan to fight back.

But, I’m afraid, unless you act IMMEDIATELY, Cap and Tax will become law.

I won’t mince words. Our backs are against the wall. Already, Big Government politicians on both sides of the aisle have rammed this bill through the U.S. House.

And President Barack Obama would love nothing more than to flash a grin for his pals in the national media as he signs Cap and Tax into law.

So that means our ONE CHANCE to stop this radical bill is the U.S. Senate.

And there, our job isn’t easy. Just like in the House, there are pro-Cap and Tax Senators in both parties.

But there is good news.

There are also a lot of VERY nervous Senators in both parties. In fact, even John McCain is now wavering from his past support for Cap and Tax.

These Senators are nervous because they know that freedom-loving folks like you are catching on to what is happening and are fighting back against their schemes to take over health care and are unified in our fight to reign in the out-of-control Fed.

They’re nervous because we’ve come a long way in stopping their assaults on our liberty.

So now, in this latest fight, many Senators are riding the fence.

They’re afraid of what YOU’LL do to them if they vote to ram Cap and Tax into law.

So today, our job is to KNOCK those Senators off the fence and squarely onto our side by sending this one very LOUD and very CLEAR message to the U.S. Senate . . .

. . . Any politician who votes FOR Cap and Tax should look for another job.

In his new book — “ End the Fed” — released today, Rep. Paul walks through his critique of the central bank and lays out a strategy (briefly) for eliminating it. We sat down with the congressman to hear his views on a money system backed by gold, the Fed’s challenge of withdrawing its stimulus and his legislation to audit the central bank. Excerpts of the interview:

What would a world without the Fed look like?

You’d go back to the day that if you wanted to borrow money to build a house, somebody would’ve had to save some money. You wouldn’t have zero savings and all the credit in the world. That’s just a total distortion of capitalism. Capital comes from savings. The part you don’t use for everyday living which you have left over, you reinvest and you save or you loan it out. We were living with something absolutely bizarre that had nothing to do with capitalism. We had no savings whatsoever yet there was all the credit in the world.

So without the Fed, there wouldn’t be as much credit.

Yeah, it would be different. If you were selling me a car and the car was worth $10,000 and I didn’t want to pay cash, you could take credit from me. You’ve got to have something to measure it by. What is a dollar? We don’t even know what a dollar is. There’s no definition for a dollar. There’s never been a time in law that said a Federal Reserve note is a dollar. That’s the basic flaw. There’s no definition for money. We’ve built a worldwide economy on a measuring rod that varies every single day. That’s why it was fragile, and that’s why it collapsed. There was no soundness to it. So that’s why you have to have a stable unit of account.

If you live in a primitive society, you’d trade goods. And if you wanted to advance, then you would trade a universal good, which would be a coin. But we’ve become sophisticated and smart and say, ‘Oh, you don’t have to go through that. We’ll just print the money. And we’ll trust the government not to print too much, and distribute it fairly.’ That’s often just a total farce. People are realizing that it is.

Don’t you think the Fed has moderated the business cycle over the past century?

Yes, I think they did smooth things out. The market’s always demanding the correction of the malinvestment and the excessive debt. … Since Bretton Woods broke down, I think every recession has been moderated by the Fed. That’s why the trust kept being built. That’s all a negative. You have to get rid of the mistakes. Moderating it means that we have slowed up the correction. The fact that they have been successful is probably the worst part about it. They’re moderating the rapidity of the crash and the correction by holding the mistakes in place.

What if, years from now, we see that the Fed has returned its balance sheet to its old size and pulled that money back from the system? Would that not be a validation of its approach?

There has only been one time that I know of where they have done that significantly, to withdraw anything of significance. That was after the Civil War. They withdrew greenbacks to a degree, they quit printing greenbacks, and they balanced the budget. I don’t think you can find any other time in our history and probably the history of the world. Because it’s an addiction, and the withdrawal is always much more serious than the continuation. The immediate problem of continuing the inflation is always more acceptable than withdrawal symptoms. Politically there will be continued inflation until it self-destructs.

So you don’t think it’s possible to pull it off?

They might try a little bit. With a weak economy, they’ll say it’s better for the economy to have low interest rates. If we didn’t have a Federal Reserve today, interest rates might be market driven. A lot of people would go bankrupt, but it would benefit the people who save. Capitalism is supposed to benefit the people who save. Even though they’re cheating the people who save, they’re cheating those on fixed income and the elderly, they will not quit inflating. The pain will be too great. They’re smart enough to know? They weren’t smart enough to know when they printed. They created the bubble. All of a sudden they’re going to get smart enough to know when to withdraw this? There’s not one chance in a million that’s going to happen.

But if the Fed were to pull this off and return its balance sheet to a normal size, where would that leave you?

If they were able to shrink their assets by 50%, to a trillion dollars or so … I would say it would challenge a lot of people. But I think the economic laws are in place. It’s only going to be temporary. It’s not going to happen. The only way you could do that is what I’ve been advocating for these last several years. You’ve got to cut spending, you’ve got to balance the budget, you’ve got to stop fighting these wars, you’ve got to bring our troops home, you’ve got to quit expanding the welfare state here at home … But I just don’t think the conditions exist. In theory you could, but if you do that without shrinking the size of the government and shrinking the deficit, it will be disastrous. It won’t work.

How would an audit lead to ending the Fed?

It’s a stepping stone. I think what’s going to lead to the next step is the destruction of the dollar, just like economic events moved further ahead than my legislative process. I wasn’t getting anywhere. But the economic events demanded that we look into it. So even if this bill passes and we have more information and we’re talking about monetary policy reform, I don’t think that’s the way this system is going to be ended. I think it’ll be ended when it’s a total failure and then it’ll have to be replaced by something. It could be replaced with a more authoritarian government, a more socialistic government.

Do you think the Fed will be abolished during your career?

I always thought the day would come… This economy is going to get worse and this dollar is going to get a lot worse. It’ll take care of itself. My real goal is educating people to the nature of money so that when this system fails, that they’ll know what to do and not just say ‘Well, we need a better manager.’The Navy Woke me up from my afternoon nap today with thistag:12160.info,2009-09-16:2649739:BlogPost:1011442009-09-16T22:00:00.000ZLocaltarianhttps://12160.info/profile/Awho
So, the Navy can apparently come and fly into a municipal air port, shut down more than half the run-way so they can refuel. At one point, both the air port manager/operator and the owner of the Jet behind the Navy's chopper decided to stand up to the Navy and they all got in a little confrontation about the situation. Apparently, if the Navy wants to, they can land at your local municipal air port and partly shut it down if they feel it necessary.
