Independent Investigation Into Pentagon Attack Yields Alarming Information

http://www.citizeninvestigationteam.com/nsa.html

@Allen L Roland, August 30, 2009. A three year independent investigation into the September 11, 2001 attack on the Pentagon has yielded new eyewitness evidence [an 81-minute video presentation entitled National Security Alert] which, according to the Southern California-based researchers who conducted the investigation, "conclusively (and unfortunately) establishes as a historical fact that the violence which took place in Arlington that day… Continue

Common Sense 2009 (by Larry Flynt)

By Larry Flynt

8/22/09

The American government -- which we once called our government -- has been taken over by Wall Street, the mega-corporations and the super-rich. They are the ones who decide our fate. It is this group of powerful elites, the people President Franklin D. Roosevelt called "economic royalists," who choose our elected officials -- indeed, our very form of government. Both… Continue

8/20/09

Former Pink Floyd frontman Roger Waters, an outspoken critic of Israel's policy in the West Bank, is now the voice behind a United Nations film documenting Palestinian life behind Israel's controversial separation fence, the AFP reported on Wednesday.

The UN premiered its 15-minute documentary "Walled Horizons" this week, to mark five years since the International Court of Justice ruled that the route of the… Continue

Mexico decriminalizes small-scale drug possession

By MARK STEVENSON (AP)

8/20/09

MEXICO CITY — Mexico enacted a controversial law Thursday decriminalizing possession of small amounts of marijuana, cocaine, heroin and other drugs while encouraging free government treatment for drug dependency.

The law sets out maximum "personal use" amounts for drugs, also including LSD and methamphetamine. People detained with those quantities will no longer face criminal prosecution when the law goes into effect… Continue

The Sounds of War

(I'm sure we all have a different opinion about "war," and how it impacts us in a variety of ways, but I thought this was worth reading. Sometimes, a reality check is good for the soul. ~Vince)

The zip of a bullet passing by your head,

The hiss of the ricocheted rounds all around your body,

The sounds of your own constant firing rifle,

The impact of an incoming mortar,

These are the sounds of… Continue

Will President Obama Walk the Walk on Overcoming Cold War Mentality?

On Monday, in a speech to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, President Obama stated: "But as we all know, much of our defense establishment has yet to fully adapt to the post-Cold War world. ... Twenty years after the Cold War ended, this is not simply unacceptable. It is irresponsible."

On the web: http://accuracy.org/newsrelease.php?articleId=2052

Billy Tauzin "is chief of PhRMA, the biggest pharmaceutical trade group. In the 2008 campaign, Obama ran a television ad pillorying Tauzin for his role in preventing Medicare from negotiating for lower drug prices. Last week the Los Angeles Times reported -- and the New York Times confirmed -- that Tauzin, an active player in White House health care negotiations, had secured a… Continue

Republicans Propagating Falsehoods in Attacks on Health-Care Reform

By Steven Pearlstein

Friday, August 7, 2009

As a columnist who regularly dishes out sharp criticism, I try not to question the motives of people with whom I don't agree. Today, I'm going to step over that line.

The recent attacks by Republican leaders and their ideological fellow-travelers on the effort to reform the health-care system have been so misleading, so disingenuous, that they could only spring from a cynical effort to gain partisan political advantage. By… Continue

The Great Hiroshima Cover-Up

(As some of you already know, my father, Anthony Guarisco was one of the soldiers who walked on the ashes of Hiroshima. Soon after doing so, his commanding officer ordered him to redeploy to Nagasaki. He refused. He told him he had already seen enough death and destruction to last a lifetime. Although, little of this is indicated in his service records, he basically told them to F-off. After WWII, my father was one of many sailors who got nuked at "Operation Crossroads" in 1946. I bet the… Continue

An interview with two former soldiers who describe how they helped prevent their unit from deploying to a war zone.

What do you do if you are a soldier being asked to fight a war you do not believe in?

For two former soldiers whose unit was ordered to deploy to Iraq in April 2005, the answer came in the form of work slowdowns, letter-writing campaigns, and one-on-one organizing with fellow soldiers. The… Continue

Pay to Play Is Washington's Sport of Kings

By Michael Winship

@Truthout.com

As we marvel over the depths of hypocrisy and greed currently plumbed in the health care reform debate, it may help to remember that even Honest Abe Lincoln had his share of tainted colleagues, one of the most notorious of whom was his first Secretary of War Simon Cameron.

According to Doris Kearns Goodwin's "Team of Rivals," when Lincoln asked radical Republican Thaddeus Stevens how corrupt Cameron was, Stevens… Continue

Arrest of NJ Rabbis, Mayors, Lays Bare Global Crime Cabal

American Free Press

Friday, July 31, 2009

The case of the New Jersey rabbis who ran a Mafia-style syndicate—with a sideline in body parts— is only part of a global criminal conspiracy to traffic in human body parts headquartered in Israel and financed by the Israeli National Health Plan.

Israel is the world supermarket for body parts—but almost no Israelis are willing to donate body parts. If you are an Israeli who wants somebody else’s organs, you can enjoy a… Continue
