It is hard to fathom that a year has passed since the French people began their protest against The Macron Government.
What started out as a demonstration against a proposed country wide fuel tax on diesel after the price of diesel had already gone up 23% in 1 year was the catalyst.
At stake was the French peoples standard of living as the proposed tax would take a bite out of the French people livelihood which was already declining steadily with inflation and lower wages.
The protests began on Nov.17th, 2018 and have run every Saturday leading up to tomorrow Nov.15th, 2019 with Acte 53 of The Gilet Jaunes protests.
The French are tough people who have shown the Macron Government and the world that they will not give up.
The protest have been mostly peaceful although a certain element within their ranks has resorted to violence on many occasions. The government has been accused and even caught sending in agent provocateurs in it's attempt to further discredit the Gilet Jaunes movement.
Still the Gilets Jaunes march on. In Paris, Marseilles, Toulouse and the other major centers to the country side. Tomorrow should be another big show of defiance against the highly unpopular Macron government.-RP
