Be forewarned, this article is laced with some profanity. My intention is not to offend anyone, I am just sick and tired of publishing nicely written articles that accomplish nothing. This piece is a reality check for all the bullshit we have had to endure over many years of hardship that have ruined our lives and killed, maimed and displaced millions.
"Afghanistan is, by far, the largest grower and exporter of opium in the world today, cultivating a 92 percent market share of the global opium trade. But what may shock many is the fact that the US military has been specifically tasked with guarding Afghan poppy fields, from which opium is derived, in order to protect this multibillion dollar industry that enriches Wall Street, the CIA, MI6, and various other groups that profit big time from this illicit drug trade scheme."Prior to the tragic events of September 11, 2001, Afghanistan was hardly even a world player in growing poppy, which is used to produce both illegal heroin and pharmaceutical-grade morphine. In fact, the Taliban had been actively destroying poppy fields as part of an effort to rid the country of this harmful plant, as was reported by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette on February 16, 2001, in a piece entitled Nation's opium production virtually wiped out."
And so the story goes:
"...after 9/11, the US military-industrial complex quickly invaded Afghanistan and began facilitating the reinstatement of the country's poppy industry. According to the United Nations Drug Control Program (UNDCP), opium cultivation increased by 657 percent in 2002 after the US military invaded the country under the direction of then-President George W. Bush. Logic dictates, we would have to be completely inept to not know that a lot of these drugs find their way on American soil."
"It is enough. I am finished with the moral geometry that says this is better than that, which makes this good. This is not good; this is, in fact, intolerable. Allowing the perpetrators of war crimes - widely televised ones at that - to retain their good name and go on Sunday talk shows as if they had anything to offer besides their ideology of murder and carnage is intolerable. Entertaining the idea that the billions we spend preparing for war cannot be touched, and so the elderly and the infirm and the young and the weak and the voiceless must pay the freight instead, is intolerable."
Comment by Kryptographic on March 18, 2013 at 1:46pm America is dumbed down on all levels. The libs are trendy suckers that think the President is Yewah. The conservatives think the evil only exists on the left, and Fox News is King. Christians stand down, and put it in gods hands waiting for pie in the sky raptures. The conspiracy theorists can't get along and divide themselves over petty arguments about who runs what while nit-picking everything and everyone from their computer chairs.
People are obsessed with entertainment and narcissistic activities. Entire families, obsessed with themselves. The left is morally obtuse, the right is waking up to their gun rights and rights to health care and a whole host of issues, but they fall for strawman debates at the drop of a hat.
Meanwhile, DHS has enough ammo to shoot a hole straight to China. They couldn't 'get the guns' so they've dried up all the ammo supplies. They're releasing drones, buying armored vehicles, secret kill lists for drone strikes, mass shootings foreshadowed in a Batman movie like wtf!? Are we living in a movie? It feels like it.
Eric Holder tells us,"The banks are too BIG to prosecute", gas prices going up, white Americans that own guns are now the new terrorists, and between them and the returning veterans, all hell is going to break loose according to DHS and the Southern Poverty Law center. DARPA is building terminators to replace the drone army they have created.
All I can say is AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Comment by Dave Phillips on March 20, 2013 at 4:40am All empires decline, and in the death throes of decline they writhe and thrash and lash out in a futile effort to stave off the inevitable and keep the power and wealth they had a little longer. This is what is coming to America, and like used to be said, if America sneezes the world catches a cold. Well some won't some will be distance far enough away from the sneeze to prosper and grow, hopefully not emulating the empires gone before them. I for one know my government has tied itself to Americas band wagon, and when it stops, we stop as well. Our neighbours to the north in Indonesia Malaysia, Thailand etc...will see opportunities in our own decline to move their huge populations to a vast land mass and rule it, whether that is done peacefully or not depends on the help we ask for, as opposed to the help we get. 5000 marines are to be deployed in Northern Australia in what the US calls a regional footprint or presence, this gives you an idea on their goals, more oil and mineral rich areas to our north that the US with puppet Australian politicians tagging along for the ride because we have no option but to go along with it, the alternative is isolation and eventually a fall from power of the current system. That could be a good thing, but it will involve blood, because blood is freedoms stain. All western civilisation is in decline, some like Iceland have taken measures to stop it and deal with the real things that matter. the rest are busy bailing out banks at the expense of the sheeple and hoping it will all go away. Soon the decay and corruption that haunted Rome in its final days will stalk our streets in the US, UK, Australia, Europe etc...and we have ourselves to blame, we could have made a difference immediately after WW2 but didn't, we got distracted by the shiny new things and endless money.
Comment by Brian Morrisseau on March 22, 2013 at 12:00am All true and when well written. Its a shame the crimes our country and its corrupt owners have protrayed. The only thing I can add is when the Taliban shut down the opium trade in Afghanistan THATS WHY WENT TO WAR THERE....BIN LADEN WAS A SCAPE GOAT....BEING TRAINED BY THE CIA....THAT AGENCY NEVER LETS ANY OF ITS PEOPLE GO ROGUE.
Comment by Robert L. Fallin on March 22, 2013 at 1:55am I wish those who had the skills would use them. We could end this mess overnight.
Comment by Ron T. Hill on March 22, 2013 at 3:35am It's been this way from the very beginning but because of improved social media people are just beginning to understand. Get a clue.
Comment by Vincent L. Guarisco on March 22, 2013 at 4:17am Aside from "opium" production, the Bush regime main objective in Afghanistan was to obtain access to the rich oil and gas reserves in Central Asia (the Caspian Reserves).
The construction of an "oil pipeline" across Central Asia was high on the Bush priority list. And so it was, from the rich oilfields in Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan, A pipeline was run directly through Afghanistan and Pakistan, to the Indian Ocean.

Comment by skip barker on March 22, 2013 at 9:40am It is such a pleasure to read articles written by others that are so well done. This is one of those, it gets to the point, adds meaningful and reliable evidence to back up the article, and gives me and I hope others the strength to continue the fight. While I and my wife (god rest her soul) have been preaching and trying to wake people up for over 40 years, Its articles and comments like these that have kept us going. Long Live the Great Republic, and may the spirit of its protectors never weaken.
Comment by Christopher-Peter: on March 22, 2013 at 10:46am Great post Vincent - It was informative and very interesting to read.
They wrote in the old days, that it is sweet and fitting to die for one’s country. But in modern war, there is nothing sweet nor fitting in your dying. You will die like a dog for no good reason - Ernest Hemingway.
The tragedy of modern war is that the young men die fighting each other--instead of their real enemies back home in the capitals - Edward Abbey.
