Sarah Silverman - Zionist Supporter Of Israeli Genocide In Palestine Against The Palestinians Gets A Hollywood Star (Imagine My Surprise)
So-called "Comedian" Sarah Silverman on Friday said she is “very lucky” she doesn’t have to sew a Jewish star to her clothes under the Trump administration.
Silverman, in an appearance on HBO’s “Real Time with Bill Maher,” made the comment after Maher congratulated her for receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame earlier that day.
“You know, in a time, Bill, where anti-Semitic crime is up 57 percent since this douchebag has taken office, it is not lost on me that I am very lucky that I get a star and I don’t have to sew it on my clothes,” Silverman said.
Maher and the audience gasped in response to her comments.
“Oh, no you didn’t!” Maher quipped.
“I did,” Silverman responded. “I don’t know if that’s gallows humor or just like ‘it’s funny because it’s true’ humor.”
The Anti-Defamation League (ADL), which tracks anti-Semitic activity across the country, found that there was a 57 percent uptick in anti-Semitic incidents in 2017, which coincides with the year Trump came into office.
Silverman’s comments came shortly after 11 worshipers were killed during a shooting inside a Pittsburgh-area synagogue. The ADL has called the incident the deadliest attack against Jews in U.S. history.
Her remarks also landed on the 80th anniversary of Kristallnacht, a night of anti-Jewish terror and destruction carried out during the early days of Nazi Germany.
Also known as the “Night of Broken Glass,” Kristallnacht resulted in hundreds of Jewish synagogues and businesses being burned and destroyed. Jewish citizens were assaulted, killed or sent to concentration camps.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Friday warned of growing dangers of anti-Semitism across the world, saying “we are living once again in a time of far-reaching change."
“In such times, there is always a particularly great danger of those who react with supposedly simple answers gaining support,” Merkel said at a Jewish synagogue in Berlin.
