Shepard Fairey involved in new 1984 film project Ron Howard

A new movie version of George Orwell’s famous novel 1984 may be in the works, with artist Shepard Fairey possibly in the role of producer, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Fairey was working with Brian Grazer and Ron Howard of Imagine Entertainment to secure the rights to the novel from Orwell’s estate. When they learned Julie Yorn of LBI Entertainment was simultaneously working towards the same goal, they decided to approach the project together, according to the Reporter.

The group is currently looking for writers before approaching a studio, according to the entertainment industry website.

Fairey is a graphic and graffiti artist who was first known for his iconic Andre the Giant posters in the skateboarding and graffiti communities before the world came to know him as the man who was sued by AP for his poster of Barack Obama.

1984 tells the story of a dystopian world that is perpetually in a state of war. Individual freedoms are suppressed in order for the upper political class to retain control of the population. Protagonist Winston Smith works at the Ministry of Truth revising newspaper articles to align with the regime's current political outlook, but beneath his outward allegiances to the regime he experiences personal conflict.

The novel was first published in 1949. The most recent film version came out in 1984, according to the Reporter.

Jordon Maxwell is an extremely interesting guy.. i agree with much of his analysis of symbols but we part company when it comes to the bible and salvation .. He is so believable he had me wondering if there even was a man called jesus.. i had a crisis of faith after listening to him. i recovered .. haha

Alex Jones consulted on the film and even made a guest appearance. George Clooney was also a producer on this project.

I heard Alex Jones talk about Keanu Reeves once, and how he has talked to him and others like Kevin Costner, and that much of Hollywood is WIDE awake. Way more than your average person would expect. At one point some big name, A-list celebs, like, some of the biggest names IN Hollywood were meeting in LA and had plans in the works for going public and blowing this NWO thing wide open.

People like Spielberg and George Lucas are well aware of the New World Order. If you have ever listened to Jordan Maxwell talk about these guys, it's quite intriguing considering he knows them personally.

In that pretend world the Vatican is all holy and the Illuminati is just a bedtime story. Can't say I blame Ron Howard for making a for sure blockbuster. The good news is, the movie was so popular that it turned Illuminati into a household name. In the long run, I truly believe that all of these little hints and clues really do add up and over time aid in the individuals awakening.

I love many movies like the Patriot the Passion and Brave heart. I just watched angels and demons and i seemed like a mis direction and quite frankly a ploy to make the catholic church look good. I would have liked the movie better if they had an illuminist in the papacy holding the throne in Rome at the end. There is the message that Rome is infalable and can do no wrong. Rome makes me sick ...His holiness and all that bs there seems like there is nothing holy in rome anymore and will be one of the greatest helps in the nwo religion. That movie was a waste of my time.

Comment by Cryptocurrency on March 23, 2012 at 11:09am: Suzie, don't forget, much of Hollywood is awake to the NWO and very much opposed to it. It's not always some form of programing you are seeing. Often it's just story tellers expressing life through art. I write screenplays and as a story teller I interweave conspiracy into some of my stories. Hollywood also knows what sells, and what is sort of marketable on a subconscious level. Hollywood knows much of the collective has a subconscious concern over 2012 with all of the media hype and fear mongering so they are simply making movies that sell; end of the world, collapse of society concepts are popular right now.

Hollywood is not like television programing that is exclusively owned by mega rich fascist corporate villains. People like Ron Howard or Mel Gibson for example can literally make any movie they want to. When it comes to blockbuster film making, it's not all about FOX studios, or Paramount or w/e, if you have the money and the financing you can make almost any movie you want. For instance, the Star Wars prequel movies were a reflection of our dieing society especially Episode 3.

One thing I very much agree with you on, is often people see something in a movie and then conclude because it was in a movie that it's made up and can't be real. I find that typically, it is those people that are the dumbest among us. Back many years ago, people were real bad about this, but people are smarter these days and realize that art imitates life just as much as life imitates art.

@ Robert, I remember seeing Ron Howard talk about it during a History Channel documentary back in 2009 I want to say... it was a doc about the movie Angels and Demons, and while it was a brief acknowledgement, as I recall he did suggest that people believe these things to be very real and hardly dismissed the notion himself. I did a quick google search and youtube but didn't find it. You may have better luck.
