Many state offices and departments in Arizona will be closed Friday due to a scheduled furlough.
Nearly 30,000 state workers will take the day off without pay.
This is one of 12 furlough days scheduled through 2012.
State officials say the move is "necessary for the state's bottom line."
The Arizona Department of Administration reports the furlough program will save the state $20 million.
