I agree by trying to over regulate and over tax, it makes the drugs coming from Mexico a viable alternative. Maybe that is his intent, back the drug runners in Mexico. I would not be shocked. that Guy just looks creepy too, Wyden. He looks like the old dude from poltergeist!

1) I am opposed to government regulations in general.  2) I am immediately suspicious when bills are introduced by dual citizen Zionist Wyden and supported by Schumer, Cory Booker, Kamala Harris, AOC and/or any other progressive leftist.  Decriminalization is good, if it keeps the government out of it.

Excellent observation Diana.

When it comes to the marijuana issue there is a lot of deception by encouraging people to "legalize marijuana". I take the position that it should be "decriminalized" not "legalized". By making it "illegal" they gave themselves the means of controlling it by regulating the legalization of it. Decriminalizing it means that it should have never been a crime to begin with.

Repealing the federal ban on marijuana occupies a single page of Wyden's bill. The rest is devoted to provisions that will raise prices for consumers and make running a marijuana business more expensive and more complicated. Pages 2 through 45 would create a system of federal marijuana taxes at escalating rates: 10 percent of the retail price for the first two years, rising to 15 percent in the third year, 20 percent in the fourth year, and 25 percent in the fifth year. Pages 51 through 65 would create a federal system to license and regulate marijuana businesses that are already licensed and regulated by state and local governments.
