HOUSTON, Texas — Electronics retailer Best Buy said Wednesday that a viral photo of cases of water selling for more than $40 was “a big mistake.”
The photo shows a 12-pack case of Smartwater being advertised for $29.98 each, while 24-packs of Dasani were shown to cost $42.96.
The company was accused of price gouging in the wake of Hurricane Harvey and was quickly ridiculed on social media when the photo was posted.
One Houston resident sent me a pic of water he saw being sold for *$42* at a nearby Best Buy. They were kind enough to offer $29 bottles too pic.twitter.com/8dKz3sJJM1

If you go to crap buy you deserve every dollar they rob you of.
But, it is not price gouging when they normally sell a single bottle for $2.50. I generally buy a 12 pack of the store brand for $3.50 (29 cents per bottle)
