I live in OKC just a couple miles from this. It's not a gun free zone. It's a restaurant on Lake Heffner. In fact, Oklahoma recently passed open, no permit, Constitutional carry in both houses, only to have Gov. Fallon veto it. Gun free zones invite illegal shooters.

Armed Citizen Fatally Shoots Gunman at Oklahoma City Restaurant, Police Say

Police say a man walked into the the restaurant and opened fire. Two people were shot and taken to a hospital with serious injuries. A bystander with a pistol confronted the shooter outside the restaurant and fatally shot him.

“Multiple shootings reported in the area of Britton/Hefner Parkway,” Oklahoma City police Tweeted. “Roads in the area have been shut down. Avoid area. More updates as available.”

According to local media, at least two people are dead. Police say the threat is over.

A large number of witnesses are detained. There is no indication of terrorism at this point, police said.

The victims are expected to survive.
