President Donald Trump renewed his demand that special counsel Robert Mueller end the Russia probe Monday after the FBI fired former senior FBI official Peter Strzok, who had a senior role in the Russia and Clinton email probes.
Stzrok's lawyer confirmed the firing of Strzok, who was revealed to have exchanged anti-Trump texts during the campaign, on Monday morning.
Trump responded on Twitter by once again blasting the Russia probe that has already gone after several former Trump campaign officials, as well as calling for a re-do of the FBI's Clinton email investigation, which never charged his political rival with a crime.
'Agent Peter Strzok was just fired from the FBI - finally,' Trump wrote around noon on Monday, after news broke publicly about Strzok's firing.
Peter Strzok was fired from his job at the Federal Bureau of Investigation, according to his lawyer
'The list of bad players in the FBI & DOJ gets longer & longer,' the president continued. 'Based on the fact that Strzok was in charge of the Witch Hunt, will it be dropped?' Trump said, using his terminology for the Mueller probe.
'It is a total Hoax. No Collusion, No Obstruction - I just fight back!' he said.
In a follow-up Tweet, Trump targeted the FBI's Hillary Clinton email investigation – which Strzok also took part in.
'Just fired Agent Strzok, formerly of the FBI, was in charge of the Crooked Hillary Clinton sham investigation. It was a total fraud on the American public and should be properly redone!' Trump wrote.
Trump turned up the heat on the Russia probe once again after news broke of Strzok's firing
The president also called for the FBI investigation that did not charge his political opponent Hillary Clinton to be redone
In July of 2016, former FBI Director James Comey, announced the decision not to charge Clinton, even as he chided her for carelessness in her use of a private email server.
The Strzok firing happened two months after the longtime agent was escorted out of the FBI building after he became a focus of an Inspector General's report that found the senior counterintelligence official was biased.
The IG investigators uncovered a series of anti-Trump texts between Strzok and fellow FBI agent Lisa Page, with whom he was having an affair.
The FBI had no comment on Trump's latest tweets about the Mueller probe and the Clinton investigation.
President Donald Trump has regularly railed against the 'FBI lovers' on Twitter while bashing the Russia probe, which he brands a 'witch hunt.' Trump may have foreshadowed the firing days ago when he tweeted 'Stay tuned!'
Trump wrote while on vacation at his New Jersey golf club days ago: 'This is an illegally brought Rigged Witch Hunt run by people who are totally corrupt and/or conflicted. It was started and paid for by Crooked Hillary and the Democrats. Phony Dossier, FISA disgrace and so many lying and dishonest people already fired. 17 Angry Dems? Stay tuned!'
Strzok's firing was confirmed by lawyer Aitan Goelman, the Washington Postreported.

Goelman slammed the firing in a statement saying the 'Deputy Director of the FBI overruled the FBI's Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR) and departed from established precedent by firing 21-year FBI veteran Peter Strzok.'
