Jailed For Homeschooling, Right Here In America

Two separate homeschool families in Ohio face jail time and thousands of dollars in fines for narrowly missing state deadlines of which they were unaware.

The charges are for “contributing to the delinquency of a minor” – even though the children were homeschooled and even though school officials later acknowledged that the parents’ program met state requirements.

The school system says the parents did not provide proper notification on time that their children would not be in public school.

Instead of notifying the parents when they were in violation of the law, school officials let the absences for the children pile up for about a month before bringing criminal charges against them, attorney Peter Kamakawiwoole of the Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA) said.

In most cases nationwide, Kamakawiwoole said, “if the family resolves the issue promptly, state officials rarely pursue further action—like criminal prosecution—against the parents.”

“Unless you happen to live in Ohio,” he wrote on the HSLDA website.

Both families were relatively new to homeschool laws in Ohio, the attorney said.

“One family filed a notice of intent when they began homeschooling last year, but did not know they had to file another notice for this school year,” Kamakawiwoole wrote. “The other family filed their annual notice of intent, but did not submit an educational assessment with their notice because they had not yet completed it, and had been told by their school district that there was no deadline for submitting the assessment.”

School officials should have contacted the families when the absences began piling up but did not, Kamakawiwoole said.

“As soon as both families realized their errors, they took action to comply with their districts’ demands,” he wrote. “After filing the paperwork, both families received a letter from their superintendent verifying that their homeschool program is in compliance with state law for the 2015-2016 school year.”

But then the school district brought criminal charges – charges which carry a maximum penalty of $1,000 in fines and six months in the county jail. Significantly, though, “each day that a child is ‘truant’ can be considered a separate offense,” Kamakawiwoole said.

That means jail time could reach years and fines into the tens of thousands of dollars.

“There is no question that homeschooling families have to meet certain filing requirements in Ohio, and this statute’s primary purpose is to deal with parents who ignore their responsibilities to direct the upbringing and education of their children,” Kamakawiwoole wrote. “But that is not what is happening here. When schools use this statute to prosecute families for what amounts to a simple clerical error, the response is disproportionate and draconian.”

The two families are scheduled to face the charges later this month, and HSLDA is representing them.

In the Garden of our First Parents there was no "separation of church and state." God was THE STATE, Adam and Eve were the church. Along came satan, convinced Adam and Eve to follow him, they did, satan became "the god of this world."

The New World Order, that brought death and destruction into the world, began at that EXACT MOMENT! You can see, however, there was still no "separation of church and state," even though satan had replaced God as “the state."

The world was begun as a theocracy, even when satan took control, it was still a theocracy.

When Jesus walked the Earth, He commanded His human creation to "Render unto Caesar," representing the "god of this world, or "render unto God." As far as I can tell, there was still no "separation of church and state." There were still only two choices for worship, Christ or satan. In the tribulation, who will have reason to reject the "mark of the beast" except born again Christ worshipers. satan worshipers HAVE NO REASON to reject that "mark."

Are you beginning to get the idea? There were no "atheists" in the Garden, clearly Christ saw no "atheists" during His earthly incarnation, you can see there will be no "atheists" in the tribulation and, of course, there are no "atheists" in eternity. Heaven or hell, Christ or satan, that's it, the only two choices on eternity’s menu.

What's my point? What has this to do with the school district persecuting and prosecuting home schooling families? The point should be crystal clear. Are the employees of the school district Christ worshipers or are they satan worshipers? Their persecution of Christian home schoolers gives an unequivocal answer to that question. It also confirms the truth of what I write: They are operating under the "rule of law" of "the god of this world." satan IS the state and it is satan who invented the lie of "separation of church and state" to disguise the fact he is the state. There is NO SUCH THING as "separation of church and state!" "By their fruit ye shall know them!"

As public employees they are operating under Oath, particularly the lawyers, and school authorities. Answer me this: How in the Name of God does a satan worshiper Give the Sacred Oath of Office? The raised hand while giving the Oath signifies the Oath giver is calling upon God (of the Holy Bible) to Witness the Oath. How is it remotely possible for a satan worshiper to call upon God?

The raised hand has a second significant meaning: It signifies the Oath giver possesses the Lawful standing to call upon God to Witness the Oath. If someone calls upon God without proper authority, that is blasphemy, now and forever, a crime at the Common Law. A criminal CANNOT serve a public office. Why did the Founding Fathers mandate the Oath of Office? George Washington called the Oath “the instrument of investigation in our courts of justice.” The Founders meant the Oath as the guarantee we could and would maintain our liberty. You can see what is happening because we have failed to enforce the qualifications for giving the oath of Office.

John Jay, first Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court said, “It is the privilege and duty of Christians to elect ONLY Christians to hold the rule over us.” Have I written ANYTHING too difficult to understand? ANYTHING that cannot be easily learned and taught? "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge." The REAL CRIMINALS in this scenario are those "public employees" and satan worshiping "lawyers" persecuting Christian home schoolers, criminals who took God's Name in vain when they gave an Oath to protect your Rights and then set out to destroy your God-given rights!

God's Third Commandment warns "The LORD will not hold him guiltless who taketh His name in vain!" To you satan worshiping judges, lawyers and "public employees: Do you think GOD IS KIDDING? Do you think you are fooling God? In the Old Testament Book of Isaiah chapter 14:13-14, you will see God reads satan's heart and mind. Are you foolish enough to think anything in your mind is secret from God?

If your think your membership in some secret society where you gave your profane "oath" is going to save you when you arrive, inevitably, at God's Bar, you better think again. Try flipping God a secret sign, that’ll “impress” Him. More likely, it will be the very evidence that will seal your eternal fate.

The ONLY good news for you is this: As long as you are still breathing you have a chance to choose a different destination, you can still choose Christ, but not if you continue persecuting God's People after learning the truth. Once you learn the Truth, you become a "Watchman on the wall." That carries some heavy liability. You should Google that phrase to learn of your new responsibilities.

As in every other jurisdiction in the universe, "Ignorance of the Law is no defense: Every man is EXPECTED to know the Law." That Law will be enforced at God's Bar of Justice. Nothing changes the fact of the TWO CHOICES available. There IS NO opt-out position. There IS NO third option! Heaven is a theocracy; hell is a theocracy, the entire universe obeys God’s Natural law, the universe has always been a theocracy.
