I bought me a Sangean ATS-909X and it's a great radio receiver and it's ready for DX.  But, what bugs me the most is that Sangean America has their own version that has very limited coverage at 153 kHz to 519 kHz, 520 kHz to 1710 kHz, 1.711 to 29.999 MHz, and your everyday 87.5 to 108 MHz coverage. The European version has, get this, 100 kHz to  519 kHz LW,  All AM, All SW, and 76 MHz to 108 MHz which is good for world travel FM.   And the Russian version is better for world travel, because it covers 100 kHz to 519 kHz, All AM, All Shortwave, and for FM, 64 to 108 MHz.  So according to this the Russian version is the World Travel winner because it receives all frequencies for the entire world.  And as for Sangean America, don't buy from them if you are planning to travel from country to country, because they believe in isolated arm chair mainstream media listening.    And get this too they dropped their HD radio products, and all radios are made in China.
