There's a good chance you may be eating a livestock drug banned in 160 nations.
CounterPunch / By Martha Rosenberg
While researchers and scientists investigate the cause of our diabetes, obesity, asthma and ADHD epidemics, they should ask why the FDA approved a livestock drug banned in 160 nations and responsible for hyperactivity, muscle breakdown and 10 percent mortality in pigs, according to angry farmers who phoned the manufacturer.
I've been following this case as closely as I can which isn't very closely since the mainstream media doesn't seem to know it exists and the little they've printed in the past hasn't been believable. The testimony below gives great insight into what happened. It seems very likely that US soldiers shot an innocent women, kidnapped her three children and tortured her. It also seems very likely that because of this and because there's little media attention she'll be spending a great many years in… Continue

Yes, slavery still exists. And it isn't some rare occurrence, it's standard procedure.
As soon as dawn breaks in Port-au-Prince the first children appear, staggering under the weight of five-gallon buckets of water. The water carriers, many as young as 6-years-old, are some of the thousands of children living as virtual child slaves in the country.

One of the great Jewish traditions I experienced as a child growing up was the tradition of the value of family. Family comes first and that was apparent. We came together, about 100 of us, every Sunday. My grandmother cooked from sun-up until sundown and between about 7 in the morning and about 7 in the evening every one of my family members would pass through her house, stay for a meal and wonderfully interesting conversation and then go on about their day. Most of my relatives spoke Yiddish… Continue
