About the time I was working on getting a UFO documentary filmed while writing for the Plano Star Courier, in a column entitled “Unexplained Mysteries”, I was invited into a UFO abductee support group! There was quite a cast of characters in the group too. My plan was to film some of the group’s activities in conjunction with other criteria concerning sightings and those who had witnessed the phenomenon. I will describe a few of the members without naming names.

One lady was a top executive for a retail chain and had to remain anonymous as her employer might terminated her for any social controversies. She had seen a UFO silently hovering above her street while people were going about their early morning business without a single thought to look skyward! Typical of people too lost in preoccupations to be observant!

A former US Army noncommissioned officer who reveled in bouncing military base air space, a potentially deadly game of cat and mouse that could have gotten him shot out of the air. He would see how far he could penetrate until base air traffic commanded him to change course, and in one case, an F-16 was sent up to escort him out! I would have been sweating bullets! He seemed very intrigued with such exploits, never got his take on UFO’s though. he would fly his private single engine plane into his adventures.

Another member may have been suffering mental problems as he spoke of Insectoid extraterrestrials that would approach him at night while in bed from the darkness of his closet! Weird, but you never know. I wouldn’t have believed back then that US Navy F-18 Hornet pilots off the USS Nimitz would be chasing airborne Tic Taks and be allowed to talk about it! Makes you wonder if it wasn’t planned disinformation.

Another lady in the group worked for plastic surgeon and told of an abduction experience she had as her husband slept right next to her. She stated she was awoken by a bright pair of headlights beaming though her curtains. There was only one problem with that. Her bedroom was on the 2^nd floor! She was then paralyzed as entities entered the room and she was levitated out of her bed and into a hovering craft outside of her apartment, and as many abductees have reported, their partner remains amazingly asleep the entire time. Bud Hopkins had hypnotically regressed many patients who described the same experiences. She claimed to have marks left on her body that she had to have her plastic surgeon employer remove with a procedure. I felt sorry for her as her spouse had left her and though she was a very nice person she was living alone.

She had some really bizarre film of an alien entity that had left images imprinted in the storm door glass of a track home in Carrolton, Texas. The image reminded me of a fetus suspended in air as if weightless! I couldn’t tell if this was an apparition or an actual UFO entity! It was also a copy of the original so it was impossible to verify! She claimed this had taken place at a friend’s house she had been visiting one evening! Bizarre stuff, huh?

Another member was a woman who as a single parent of 2 children, recently divorced from a Muslim husband, and she was pretty angry at men in general. She wanted to try and help me conduct a filmed portion of the proposed documentary but, at that point, my producer, flaked out on the project! So, all in roads faded away as did the abductee support group! Strange how you can have so much going for you, and suddenly it all falls apart! Story of my life.
