Little do you realize that throughout the US Park and Recreation territory of America that all those seemingly well thought out hiking trails, designated camping areas, and only through permits allowing off trail exploration by tourists, if allowed at all, are actual restrictions to vast wilderness areas! Only 1% of the total nation’s parks, nature preserves, and monument lands are tourists, campers, fishermen, hunters, and hikers actually allowed. Without knowing it, what seems to be generously allowed recreational inlets are designed to keep people out and away from the deep interior. It’s as if people are being prevented from encountering something or someone they are forbidden to make contact with. The question is who?
Beyond these wilderness lands where visitors are discouraged by officialdom are the timber operators where lumberjacks, heavy machinery, and log hauling 18 wheelers harvest the valuable lumber that amounts to more than 288 billion in annual dollar revenue! This vital industry cannot afford to be interrupted by the rights of any unknown species whose territory it might be violating if a humanoid population were recognized and allowed the equivalent of reservation land. Acknowledging that Bigfoot, Sasquatch, or Sabe existed as a civilization could lead to the restructuring of jurisdictional maps, government authority, and local property rights. This could prove disastrous for big industry profits and public availability of materials.
As many of us now know, the front line personnel who are most likely to experience chance encounters with these bipedal humanoids would be hunters, fishermen, lumberjacks, park rangers, farmers who operate in fringe regions of the wilderness, and even soldiers on maneuvers in wild acreage that borders on remote military bases. It is a certain percentage of these people who have stumbled upon what is not supposed to exist and only in the world of hoaxes and mythology should these cryptids be allowed!
Supposedly, an unspoken rule exists in the realm of dealing with this denied existence of ancient species that has been acknowledged by virtually every ancient tribal community on the face of the earth, yet modern humans have been convinced that this phenomenon is taboo to be laughed at and dismissed! So, where does this leave those who by the thousands that have disappeared in national forests over the decades while unknowingly infringing upon the habitat of a powerful, intelligent, and widespread, undercover, society that has existed alongside mankind for a millennia. Once you stumble into their shadowy world of natural defenses and hidden terrain, you become a victim on the pages of Missing Person reports filled out by police, park rangers, or sheriffs who may very well knowingly attribute a Sasquatch caused disappearance as merely predatory wildlife incident! That unspoken phrase that has been pursued as a forbidden policy has been “Shoot, Bury, and Shut up!”
What are the implications of official acknowledgement that a previously ignored primate population that is considered intelligent and dwelling in vast regions of the North American continent going to present? Rights! Human rights! And with it comes, territory, redefining of government responsibility, and an economic impact that could drastically affect a large industry that allows for human development and expansion of urban regions that are now infringing upon a slowly shrinking wilderness. So, rather than admit that this species still exists and parallels its existence in deep forested regions, but can even interface with human existence on farms and rural communities, an uneasy and unspoken truth embargo or truce exists to maintain that forbidden status quo. Refer back to “Shoot, Bury, and Shut up!”
