The inspection detected an alarming number of 'microcracks' since the last study was conducted three years ago according to reports.
Seventy additional cracks were also found at the Tihange 2 nuclear reactor during the ultrasonic inspection in April according to the Belga news agency.
Tihange is just 60 kilometers away from the German border, while Doel is around 150 kilometers way, putting residents within the area at possible risk. Fears that the cracks may lead to another Nuclear Disaster like Fukushima.
RT.com reports: Some 300 new flaws have also allegedly been discovered at the Doel 3 reactor tank during a check last November, according to tagesschau.de.

Despite the need for an increase in infrastructure spending in Belgium, NATO is demanding Belgium more than double their contributions to counter the fake Russian aggression in Europe. You have to wonder about the priorities here.
In the US, the American Society of Engineers have just released their 2017 report and it shows failing grades for aviation, dams, drinking water, inland waterways, levees, transit, roads, energy, hazardous waste, waste water, schools and public parks. Trillions of dollars are needed to bring infrastructure up to par.
I think this pattern is typical of infrastructure worldwide. It looks to me like our "leaders" have decided it's better to wage war, gut everything and start all over again verses fixing what's in place right now.
