The email below, sent by William L. Thomas, M.D., Executive Vice President of MedStar Health, indicates his corporation will require vendors to take the toxic seasonal vaccine in order to do business with the health care provider.

MedStar Health is a $3.5 billion non-profit, regional healthcare system with a community-based network of eight hospitals and other healthcare services in Maryland and the Washington, D.C. region,according to its website. It is one of the largest employers in the region with more than 25,000 associates and 5,000 affiliated physicians with more than 158,000 inpatient admissions and more than one and a half million outpatient visits each year. MedStar also operates nursing homes, senior housing, adult day care, rehabilitation and ambulatory centers.

The email was forwarded to us by an Infowars reader.

Although Infowars did not contact MedStar to verify the email, the vendor vaccination policy was announced in Harbor Hospital’s The Compass newsletter, dated August 3, 2009 (see the last page of the PDF). “There will be a small percentage of staff who will not be able to receive the flu vaccine because of religious beliefs and/or allergies. All other associates, physicians, vendors and volunteers will be required to receive the vaccine,” the newsletter states (emphasis added). Harbor Hospital serves Baltimore, Anne Arundel and Howard counties in Maryland.

Talk about mission creep. The MedStar email is a perfect example of how vaccines will become mandatory by stealth. It is only a matter of time — less than three weeks — before other large corporations demand their employees and contractors, vendors, and business partners take the soft kill eugenics shot.

Dear MedStar Health Vendor,

MedStar Health is proud to announce that it is taking a proactive stand against influenza (flu). This flu season, starting in October 2009, we will require all MedStar vendors who visit any MedStar location, as well as associates, members of the medical staff, volunteers, residents, students and contracted staff to receive an annual seasonal flu vaccination. Your support of this policy is critical to the success of this important patient safety initiative. Everyone counts and flu prevention starts with you.

Our preventive approach is recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as the most powerful public health tool to prevent influenza. In addition, all major regulatory, health, national, scientific and accrediting agencies recommend yearly influenza vaccinations for all healthcare workers and individuals in the healthcare setting. Each year, more than 200,000 people in the U.S. are hospitalized and about 36,000 die from influenza, making it the sixth leading cause of death. Vaccination of individuals in a healthcare setting reduces the risk of transmitting the flu virus to patients, since people who have no flu symptoms can still be a carrier, unknowingly spreading flu it to patients, co-workers, and visitors.

All vendors that visit any MedStar location will be required to demonstrate that they have received a current flu vaccination. Vendors will have from October 1, 2009 through December 4, 2009 to obtain a seasonal influenza vaccination and must submit via fax documentation of the vaccination, including name and date and location of the vaccination to Vendor Access at 410-512-3696. Failure to comply with this policy will result in the loss of vendor privileges and entry into MedStar Health facilities for business purposes.

This mandate will be required annually for all vendors and any new individuals who may become a vendor of MedStar Health in the future.
