Sen. Dianne Feinstein referred to the US, Canada and Mexico as “the Homeland” at an NSA Senate briefing on Wednesday, presenting a map that united the three nations as one.

At a Senate Judiciary Committee meeting held to acquire details on the National Security Agency’s mass surveillance programs, Sen. Feinstein (D-Calif.) made a geographic mistake in which she united three large countries into one. The error went by without comment during the briefing, but generated a significant response upon closer examination of the map.

During the briefing, Feinstein, who serves as chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee, was defending the NSA’s data-collection programs when she pulled out a world map that identified North America as the “Homeland”. The newly-declassified diagram showed terror activity that the NSA had allegedly disrupted throughout the world.

But while Europe, Africa and Asia were correctly identified by their continent’s name, countries of North America were all encompassed as a new mega-nation.

“Now, the NSA has produced and declassified a chart, which I’d like to make available to all members. It has the 54 total (terror) events,” Feinstein said. “And it shows the events disrupted… 13 in the Homeland, 25 in Europe, five in Africa and 11 in Asia.”

Although it might be easy to brush off the map as nothing more than a mistake made by a staffer, a writer at The Atlantic suggested that it might indicate a potential NSA attempt at tallying thwarted attacks in North America to make anti-terrorism efforts in the US look more successful.

“Normally, this would be written off as a design goof, as one of the NSA’s (newly adept) graphics guys using a little more light blue than he ought,” writes the Atlantic’s Philip Bump. “This being the NSA, we’re not inclined to offer that benefit of the doubt. Is this a way of blending in Canadian and Mexican terror activity disruptions (which, we’ll remind you, is different from actual plots interrupted) to give a larger sense of the NSA’s success at halting terrorism within our borders?”

Whatever the reason for the NSA’s creation of “the Homeland”, the spy agency has already been condemned for failing to respect the sovereignty of other nations through its extensive data-collection efforts.

Some people have taken to Twitter to sarcastically welcome Canada and Mexico to the United States.

“Earths newest continent. Welcome to the Homeland, Mexico and Canada!” wrote Twitter user Kat Capps.

“Are Canadians losing their sovereignty?” tweeted user Kevin King.

Are losing their ? Canada is now called "HOMELAND" - http://ca.news.yahoo.com/blogs/canada-politics/canada-mexico-united-states-identified-homeland-during-senate-192128693.html

“We did it! Canada is now part of the American ‘homeland,’” tweeted Canada.com, a site for “spirited discussions on what’s important to Canadians.”

How Generous! If Mexico is so much  part of the -US- Homeland, then why are Mexicans refered as illegal ALIENS?

Mexicans are native Americans, in fact pre Americans.
We were here long before the invisible lines fell, we did not arrive here escaping religious persecution, we did not arrive on slave ships or ocean liners. We did not need to go through Elise Island since we were already here.
It bothers me when I read of this hatred for the indigenous people of this total continent. No different from the Israelis and the Palestinians. My dna is the same with any tribe from the very tip of the continent to the very bottom of this continent.
We are NOT the aliens.

How interesting, Wolf. Which tribe are you from? Nahuas, Mixtecos, Totonacas? It is my understanding that 11-12% of Mexicans are actually indigenous people and the rest are mixed Europeans. I am mixed Native American (Cherokee) and Irish. There are a lot of people of that mixture in my area. Ha ha The Irish and Cherokee seem to have been fond of each other...But yes, in all seriousness, there is too much hatred in this world. I am not responsible for what my ancestors of either ethnic background did. I should neither be punished nor take credit for it. I live in today and try to treat people as individuals, not whatever label society wants to put on them. We are human beings.

Wow. My grandmother was Hopi but my mom is Irish Cherokee also. Yes, the Irish and Cherokee were a perfect match.
While I have to live in the now I refuse to forget the history of events. Name calling is unacceptable. The NWO would love for all of us to hate so they can busy themselves with raping and pillaging.
The mixed europeans would be the spaniards hence my grandmother's last name was Garza instead of Xtapa or something like that. The people that I have met understand where their spanish last name comes from but in their heart they are native. There is not one "mexican" that does not understand that they are native or what happened to our people when they were invaded.
There is good and bad in ALL cultures and colors. With exception of the Zionist I cannot say that I dislike any one group of people.
Cheers to you.

Wolf thank you for your reply. I actually looked the subject up because my interest was pricked. I had no idea there were so many South and Central America tribes. I guess there would be, just like North America. The Olmecs and Incas are very interesting to me and I have researched both. There was a guy in the 1500's that wrote the history of the Incas. I have it, and wanted to read it again recently. I can't find it! Worse still, I don't remember the title! Anyway, I enjoy hearing about native people from here or the ancient people of Europe. The Celts were some outrageous people from what I've read.

The history of the indigenous people including all the islands, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Cuba, etc., etc when you tally approximately how many were murdered is in the high millions. Jews have nothing on what happened in and around this continent. Most people could care less nor will they venture into the history of our peoples.
For those that are curious, I suggest HARVEST OF EMPIRE by Juan Gonzalez of Democracy Now. What an education that book was.
We are all one people, it is the NWO (which this sight is against) that wants hatred. This is all by design. If you talk the talk then you are pushing their agenda.
I personally love the Scottish and Irish's tenacity. My mom is hell on wheels, still. She is 84 yet takes no meds at all; the advantage of NOT being vaccinated. As strong as they come at that age. Every time I hear of an old lady tackling her attacker I always listen, it could be her.
