Oregon Man Holds Up Bank For $1, Waits To Be Arrested To Get Health Care
Timothy Dean Alsip, 50, is homeless and needed health care, so he allegedly robbed a bank so he could medical attention.
Deputy Mark Nikolai, sheriff’s office spokesman, said a man entered the Bank of America branch, 9171 S.E. 82nd Ave., at 10:20 a.m. and approached a teller.
“He handed over a note saying ‘This is a hold up. Give me a dollar,’” Nikolai said. After receiving $1, he “had a seat in the lobby.”
Alsip, who told police he had no permanent address, does not have a criminal record in Oregon.

That's kinda brilliant, actually. I mean, you gotta hand it to the guy, at least he was creative. Unfortunately for him, he probably won't get any medical attention now that he's in police custody.
