According to a CNN report, the military will assist civilian authorities in the event of a significant swine flu outbreak in the U.S. this fall, stoking fears that the pandemic, which has claimed relatively few lives so far, will be used as an excuse to implement martial law and a mandatory vaccination program. “The plan calls for military task forces to work in conjunction with the Federal Emergency Management Agency. There is no final decision on how the military effort would be manned, but one source said it would likely include personnel from all branches of the military,” states the report.

The proposal, which was drawn up by U.S. Northern Command’s Gen. Victor Renuart, is awaiting final approval from Defense Secretary Robert Gates. The first step would be to sign an “execution order” which would authorize the military to begin detailed planning on how to implement the proposal, before actual orders to deploy military personnel are given. The amount of troops required or whether they would come from the active duty or the National Guard and Reserve forces has not yet been determined. Northcom has been preparing for mass flu pandemics for years and indeed, Gen. Victor Renuart spoke of the threat of a flu pandemic emerging out of Mexico just weeks before it actually happened.

Many experts are saying if the virus mutates into a really virulent one that passes easily from person to person; then all of this pandemic planning will be put to good use. They say, "Every resource will be taxed to the limit in that situation, that is why we need the military to step in and help." They say that this worse case scenario is something our government should plan for and they say it is a good thing that they have.

Unfortunately, the problem with having all this in place is that if the worse case scenario does not actually materialize there will be a strong desire amongst some groups to push a state of emergency and force vaccinate anyway! That is a bad thing, and all the more so given the questionable nature of this untested vaccine. If the "swine flu" does become a mega-death killer that will be a very bad thing to be sure. But why do we suppose Martial Law under those condition would be a good thing? How does a complete government take over by the military help us? Sorry, but I don't see any upside this.



If you saw Tom Cruise's fim Valkyrie you know "Operation Valkyrie" was an operational plan developed for the Reserve Army of Deutschland. The plan was approved by Adolf Hitler, who intended it to be used in the event that disruption caused by the Allied bombing of German cities caused a breakdown in law and order, or a rising by the millions of forced laborers from occupied countries working in German factories.

The coup authors, the conspirators, had a triple task before them: 1) kill Hitler, 2) annihilate the powerful National-Socialism party machine in power, and 3) neutralize the omnipresent SS Nazi armed component, the Wehrmacht. The question was how could they accomplish all these goals. Then answer was: use the Reserve Army, turn Hitler's own "Operation Valkyrie" against him. From 1943 on, they altered the plan in order to capture leaders of SS, SD, Gestapo and NSDAP. In the end the plot failed, but nevertheless the plan was sound.

Consider, if you will, how a reverse "coup" might happen in America today using the military (NorthCom) against the American people under the guise of enforcing a pandemic quarantine. Just suppose there is a conspiracy to over throw Constitutional Republic and place American under the authority of the United Nations, this would be the "Operation Valkyrie" that could accomplish that task. If you are really concerned about preventing the use of the United States military within the boundaries of the Continental United States as the striking arm of tyranny, you should go out and buy this movie on DVD and give to every soldier you know so they can watch it and pass it on to their buddies (and tell them to join Oath Keepers while your are at it).
