Canada long practiced policies that were designed to promote, if not cause, the deaths of Aboriginal children. The deaths were then hushed up and the children buried in unmarked graves. Canada has undoubtedly incurred a huge karmic debt for this genocide. The deaths were buttressed by Anglo-Saxon race theory from the Nineteenth Century that held that white Anglo-Saxons were a superior race and that the so-called lower races had no right to … well, live, basically.

As a young historian I published on the subject and designed an exhibit in the then-National Museum on it. Thanks to Ann for sending this article along and hats off to the people who risked their lives, as William Combes and Keith Annett did, to expose these crimes.
