"Public confidence in government is at one of the lowest points in a half century, according to a survey from the Pew Research Center. Nearly 8 in 10 Americans say they don't trust the federal government and have little faith it can solve America's ills, the survey found.

The survey illustrates the ominous situation President Barack Obama and the Democratic Party face as they struggle to maintain their comfortable congressional majorities in this fall's elections."

Interesting news from Pew Research...fits pretty well with our forum! But are we being set up for the greatest con job of all time? Everyone was sick of Bush - now they are sicker of Obama/government- what is next?

What is the Amerikan public being groomed for next?

We are being set up. The government is gearing up to stage a false flag attack, looks to be a detonated nuke, and blame it on Tea Partiers and ANYONE who criticizes the Federal government.
What's Next?

First, America will be filled with renewed hope and spirit with the election of a Conservative Christian Republican President to replace Obama. After 24 months of reductions in Social Services, like senior services, health services, library hours, etc., and 24 months of continued outsourcing of jobs resulting in 20%+ real unemployment, war in far away countries killing innocent civilians with names like Muhammed and Abdullah, continued foreclosure and a significant increase in food and energy costs combined with a drop in gold prices Americans will be just as unhappy as they are today. And THEN, people will post editorials like, "What's Next?" At which point we'll elect a Democratic president who, like every president for the past 100 years will run on a campaign of Hope And Change. Americans have a 3 year, 364 day memory. This is what we do. Over and over again, and it's what we've done for 200+ years.

Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results has been described as insanity and the general consensus is that Americans are insane, or else just plain stupid.
Or maybe that would be stoopid?
or Jeff - they could be lulled into this complacent attitude by easy credit and materialism...the mine mentality.

Leah - interesting...I would personally prefer an EMP over the east - and west coast that does not impact the Navajo Reservation because you know we are technologically superior...all said tongue in cheek...but I do agree.

Billy, you know what is next,

To save the world they will tell us we 'have to give up' all personal freedom and live as their slaves, and worship their God and denigh ours.

Not me. I'll die first, before I will denigh my God.

May as well give credit to the guy who thunk it.
Larry, they will want us to believe that the state IS God. I'm with you, I'll go down before bowing to them.

"Leaders who add value by serving believe in their people before their people believe in them and serve others before they are served." John C. Maxwell in The Law of Addition.
This must be from some science fiction, science fantasy book because it doesn't apply and hasn't ever applied to leaders in American politics with the exception of perhaps a very few people several hundred years ago.

Jeff - I could not agree more -

it is in direct contradiction to Alan Greenspans' old girlfriend Ayn Rand Objectivist philosophy...which I think dominates politics and life today

Of course we are being set up. The key is to see the set up coming and be ready ... it's like a game of chess with real skin in the game ... the skin we are all wearing at the moment.

Can we win? Yes ... but only by being craftier and colder and more deliberate than ever before in our lives. Otherwise ... hamburger.
