Woke up this morning and fell out of my dreams Just trying to exist in a world of extremes The man on the moon with microwave beams Nothing is ever what it really seems,
Trying to decipher government schemes Everybody is coming apart at the seams Found your note on the side of a hill Your screams seemed so loud and uniquely shrill,
Why do they want to keep those here who rob and kill? When I ask they say just take another pill Trying to reason with the Fool on the Hill They tell me he’s addicted to cheap, sordid, thrills,
And all you can possibly measure As foreign countries steal all of our treasures Should I come at your leisure? You were always so obsessed with your pleasure,
Still I keep trying as the lies continue flying It’s a different world there’s no denying More often than not I’m left sighing Won’t do any good to be crying,
They say we’ll colonize Mars While all the sheep worship Hollywood stars Your country going down the tubes and you’re at the bars While criminal politicians publish their memoirs,
Excuse me for rejecting free tickets to the menagerie Some of you could use a frontal lobotomy Untimely deaths seem to come in threes Step right up for a shot at the brass monkey!
The search for intelligent life at an all-time low As mankind takes a step backwards blow by blow I might as well take a nap in new fallen snow All logic and reason is in free fall don’t you know?
Sometimes I try to wake up with a grain of hope After all, you have to gain traction on a slippery slope There’s another UAP on my radar scope I’ll be happy if we can avoid radioactive isotopes
A Grain of Hope

Just trying to exist in a world of extremes
The man on the moon with microwave beams
Nothing is ever what it really seems,
Trying to decipher government schemes
Everybody is coming apart at the seams
Found your note on the side of a hill
Your screams seemed so loud and uniquely shrill,
Why do they want to keep those here who rob and kill?
When I ask they say just take another pill
Trying to reason with the Fool on the Hill
They tell me he’s addicted to cheap, sordid, thrills,
And all you can possibly measure
As foreign countries steal all of our treasures
Should I come at your leisure?
You were always so obsessed with your pleasure,
Still I keep trying as the lies continue flying
It’s a different world there’s no denying
More often than not I’m left sighing
Won’t do any good to be crying,
They say we’ll colonize Mars
While all the sheep worship Hollywood stars
Your country going down the tubes and you’re at the bars
While criminal politicians publish their memoirs,
Excuse me for rejecting free tickets to the menagerie
Some of you could use a frontal lobotomy
Untimely deaths seem to come in threes
Step right up for a shot at the brass monkey!
The search for intelligent life at an all-time low
As mankind takes a step backwards blow by blow
I might as well take a nap in new fallen snow
All logic and reason is in free fall don’t you know?
Sometimes I try to wake up with a grain of hope
After all, you have to gain traction on a slippery slope
There’s another UAP on my radar scope
I’ll be happy if we can avoid radioactive isotopes
