I never could have foreseen creation before

All expectation on an infinite floor

This is what you get when you open eternity’s door

I’m just a mere mortal who would like to know more,

There are many now looking for signs in the sky

Hard pressed to determine the truth from a lie

In a battle with evil and hatred disguised

This what the fools have legitimized,

Truth has become a rare commodity

The blessed language of the free

Yet, the insanity clearly escapes me

The delusional who would rather burn their cities,

Like sitting upon an elevated position

Watching pagans sacrifice in primitive tradition

The godless who seek the evil one’s permission

Like a cancer that needs to go into remission!

Trying to consider the winds of the future

But for self-imposed insanity, there is no cure

Wishing I could find a soul that was pure

Loving, intelligent, and yet, demure,

I can smell the smoke rising from embattled streets

Emotions as cold as ice coming down in sheets

The evil ones who are stifled in defeat

Sometimes, you have to remain discrete.
