Because I live in the U.K. and am sick and tired of the way our Country is going and seeing everybody getting more and more poor, old people getting neglected. People who are disabled not allowed benefits - being forced to work ( slave ) for a pittance, even though they are too sick to work at all. All educated friends not allowed decent jobs and some committing suicide, so on and so on at the expense of a few elite living on ridiculous salaries. The banks acting as though they are doing people a favour, causing debt across the Country. The Police picking on people and raiding their homes for nothing if they dare speak out to defend or protest. Life here is hell for people whose families have died in 2 WWs for this Country. I could go on and on, but it's obvious that everyone is being intimidated, put down and bullied by the people who are supposed to serve our needs.
Women are having babies just to survive and some get them taken off them, and loose the will to live. All small shops are closing and Wal-Mart - called Asda here is expanding, so people are having to spend a fortune to just go shopping. Fuel is a crazy price, and now they want to meter everyone's water, gas and electric, and are putting something in all new appliances, so they can be turned off, when the people in charge want, supposedly to save all the supplies for themselves if things get worse and the latest of course is all the monitoring - even put in garbage cans on the streets to pick up people's communications remotely that are near the garbage cans. What can ordinary people do, nothing it seems. I feel helpless and depressed.
