Don't forget about the false left-right paradigm, where political parties play theatre with each other- especially at Election time, but in reality it is just all one big Government. People are conditioned to vote either Labour or Conservative, as the Dems and Republicans in the U.S.
Politicians merge from one side to the other, but all follow the same systematic rule of thumb- please themselves, please their masters, condition the slaves...
