"South Park" is missing its first air date ever Wednesday. They simply didn't have the power.
Literally.
Bing: Most memorable 'South Park' episodes
On Tuesday night, South Park Studios lost power. Animation, rendering, editing and sound computers were all down for hours. Due to the show's well-known last-minute approach to finalizing episodes, Wednesday night's new episode, 1704 "Goth Kids 3: Dawn of the Posers" will not be done in time for air.

In its place, Comedy Central will air a Live-Tweeted presentation of "Scott Tenorman Must Die" at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT. The new episode will air next Wednesday, Oct. 23.
Trey Parker said, "It sucks to miss an air date but after all these years of tempting fate by delivering the show last minute, I guess it was bound to happen."
