these are days of lucrative
opportunity. So lucrative, that an industry trade association, the United States
Organizations for Bankruptcy Alternatives, recently convened here, in
the oceanfront confines of the Four Seasons Resort, to forge deals and
plot strategy.
At a well-lubricated evening reception, a steel drum band played Bob Marley songs as hostesses in skimpy dresses draped leis around the necks of arriving entrepreneurs, some with deep tans.
The debt settlement industry can afford some extravagance. The long recession
has delivered an abundance of customers — debt-saturated Americans,
suffering lost jobs and income, sliding toward bankruptcy. The
settlement companies typically harvest fees reaching 15 to 20 percent
of the credit card balances carried by their customers, and they tend
to collect upfront, regardless of whether a customer’s debt is actually
reduced.
State attorneys general from New York to California and consumer
watchdogs like the Better Business Bureau say the industry’s proceeds
come at the direct expense of financially troubled Americans who are
being fleeced of their last dollars with dubious promises.
Consumers rarely emerge from debt settlement programs with their credit
card balances eliminated, these critics say, and many wind up worse
off, with severely damaged credit, ceaseless threats from collection
agents and lawsuits from creditors.
In the Kansas City area, Linda Robertson, 58, rues the day she bought
the pitch from a debt settlement company advertising on the radio,
promising to spare her from bankruptcy and eliminate her debts. She
wound up sending nearly $4,000 into a special account established under
the company’s guidance before a credit card company sued her, prompting
her to drop out of the program.
By then, her account had only $1,470 remaining: The debt settlement
company had collected the rest in fees. She is now filing for
bankruptcy.
“They take advantage of vulnerable people,” she said. “When you’re
desperate and you’re trying to get out of debt, they take advantage of
you.” Debt settlement has swollen to some 2,000 firms, from a niche of
perhaps a dozen companies a decade ago, according to trade associations
and the Federal Trade Commission, which is completing new rules aimed at curbing abuses within the industry.
Last year, within the industry’s two leading trade associations — the
United States Organizations for Bankruptcy Alternatives and the
Association of Settlement Companies — some 250 companies collectively
had more than 425,000 customers, who had enrolled roughly $11.7 billion
in credit card balances in their programs.
As the industry has grown, so have allegations of unfair practices.
Since 2004, at least 21 states have brought at least 128 enforcement
actions against debt relief companies, according to the National
Association of Attorneys General. Consumer complaints received by states more than doubled between 2007 and 2009, according to comments filed with the Federal Trade Commission.
“The industry’s not legitimate,” said Norman Googel, assistant attorney
general in West Virginia, which has prosecuted debt settlement
companies. “They’re targeting a group of people who are already
drowning in debt. We’re talking about middle-class and lower
middle-class people who had incomes, but they were using credit cards
to survive.”
The industry counters that a few rogue operators have unfairly
tarnished the reputations of well-intentioned debt settlement companies
that provide a crucial service: liberating Americans from impossible
credit card burdens.
With the unemployment rate near double digits and 6.7 million people
out of work for six months or longer, many have relied on credit cards.
By the middle of last year, 6.5 percent of all accounts were at least
30 days past due, up from less than 4 percent in 2005, according to Moody’s Economy.com.
Yet a 2005 alteration spurred by the financial industry made it harder
for Americans to discharge credit card debts through bankruptcy,
generating demand for alternatives like debt settlement.
The Arrangement
The industry casts itself as a victim of a smear campaign orchestrated by the giant banks
that dominate the credit card trade and aim to hang on to the spoils:
interest rates of 20 percent or more and exorbitant late fees.
“We’re the little guys in this,” said John Ansbach, the chief lobbyist
for the United States Organizations for Bankruptcy Alternatives, better
known as Usoba (pronounced you-SO-buh). “We exist to advocate for
consumers. Two and a half billion dollars of unsecured debt has been
settled by this industry, so how can you take the position that it has
no value?”
But consumer watchdogs and state authorities argue that debt settlement companies generally fail to deliver.
In the typical arrangement, the companies direct consumers to set up
special accounts and stock them with monthly deposits while skipping
their credit card payments. Once balances reach sufficient size,
negotiators strike lump-sum settlements with credit card companies that
can cut debts in half. The programs generally last two to three years.
“What they don’t tell their customers is when you stop sending the
money, creditors get angry,” said Andrew G. Pizor, a staff lawyer at
the National Consumer Law Center. “Collection agents call. Sometimes
they sue. People think they’re settling their problems and getting some
relief, and lo and behold they get slammed with a lawsuit.”
In the case of two debt settlement companies sued last year by New York
State, the attorney general alleged that no more than 1 percent of
customers gained the services promised by marketers. A Colorado
investigation came to a similar conclusion.
The industry’s own figures show that clients typically fail to secure
relief. In a survey of its members, the Association of Settlement
Companies found that three years after enrolling, only 34 percent of
customers had either completed programs or were still saving for
settlements.
“The industry is designed almost as a Ponzi scheme,”
said Scott Johnson, chief executive of US Debt Resolve, a debt
settlement company based in Dallas, which he portrays as a rare island
of integrity in a sea of shady competitors. “Consumers come into these
programs and pay thousands of dollars and then nothing happens. What
they constantly have to have is more consumers coming into the program
to come up with the money for more marketing.”
The Pitch
Linda Robertson knew nothing about the industry she was about to
encounter when she picked up the phone at her Missouri home in February
2009 in response to a radio ad.
What she knew was that she could no longer manage even the monthly payments on her roughly $23,000 in credit card debt.
So much had come apart so quickly.
Before the recession, Ms. Robertson had been living in Phoenix, earning
as much as $8,000 a month as a real estate appraiser. In 2005, she paid
$185,000 for a three-bedroom house with a swimming pool and a yard
dotted with hibiscus.
When the real estate business collapsed, she gave up her house to
foreclosure and moved in with her son. She got a job as a waitress,
earning enough to hang on to her car. She tapped credit cards to pay
for gasoline and groceries.
By late 2007, she and her son could no longer afford his apartment. She
moved home to Kansas City, where an aunt offered a room. She took a job
on the night shift at a factory that makes plastic lids for packaged
potato chips, earning $11.15 an hour.
Still, her credit card balances swelled.
The radio ad offered the services of a company based in Dallas with a
soothing name: Financial Freedom of America. It cast itself as an
antidote to the breakdown of middle-class life.
“We negotiate the past while you navigate the future,” read a caption on its Web site,
next to a photo of a young woman nose-kissing an adorable boy. “The
American Dream. It was never about bailouts or foreclosures. It was
always about American values like hard work, ingenuity and looking out
for your neighbor.”
When Ms. Robertson called, a customer service representative laid out a
plan. Every month, Ms. Robertson would send $427.93 into a new account.
Three years later, she would be debt-free. The representative told her
the company would take $100 a month as an administrative fee, she
recalled. His tone was take-charge.
“You talk about a rush-through,” Ms. Robertson said. “I didn’t even get
to read the contract. It was all done. I had to sign it on the computer
while he was on the phone. Then he called me back in 10 minutes to say
it was done. He made me feel like this was the answer to my problems
and I wasn’t going to have to face bankruptcy.”
Ms. Robertson made nine payments, according to Financial Freedom. Late
last year, a sheriff’s deputy arrived at her door with court papers:
One of her creditors, Capital One, had filed suit to collect roughly $5,000.
Panicked, she called Financial Freedom to seek guidance. “They said,
‘Oh, we don’t have any control over that, and you don’t have enough
money in your account for us to settle with them,’ ” she recalled.
Her account held only $1,470, the representative explained, though she
had by then deposited more than $3,700. Financial Freedom had taken the
rest for its administrative fees, the company confirmed.
Financial Freedom later negotiated for her to make $100 monthly
payments toward satisfying her debt to the creditor, but Ms. Robertson
rejected that arrangement, no longer trusting the company. She demanded
her money back.
She also filed a report with the Better Business Bureau in Dallas,
adding to a stack of more than 100 consumer complaints lodged against
the company. The bureau gives the company a failing grade of F.
Ms. Robertson received $1,470 back through the closure of her account,
and then $1,120 — half the fees that Financial Freedom collected. Her
pending bankruptcy has cost her $1,500 in legal fees.
“I trusted them,” she said. “They sounded like they were going to help me out. It’s a rip-off.”
Financial Freedom’s chief executive, Corey Butcher, rejected that characterization.
“We talked to her multiple times and verified the full details,” he
said, adding that his company puts every client through a verification
process to validate that they understand the risks — from lawsuits to
garnished wages.
Intense and brooding, Mr. Butcher speaks of a personal mission to
extricate consumers from credit card debt. But roughly half his
customers fail to complete the program, he complained, with most of the
cancellations coming within the first six months. He pinned the low
completion rate on the same lack of discipline that has fostered many
American ailments, from obesity to the foreclosure crisis.
“It comes from a lack of commitment,” Mr. Butcher said. “It’s like
going and hiring a personal trainer at a health club. Some people act
like they have lost the weight already, when actually they have to go
to the gym three days a week, use the treadmill, cut back on their
eating. They have to stick with it. At some point, the client has to
take responsibility for their circumstance.”
Consumer watchdogs point to another reason customers wind up confused and upset: bogus marketing promises.
In April, the United States Government Accountability Office released a
report drawing on undercover agents who posed as prospective customers
at 20 debt settlement companies. According to the report,
17 of the 20 firms advised clients to stop paying their credit card
bills. Some companies marketed their programs as if they had the
imprimatur of the federal government, with one advertising itself as a
“national debt relief stimulus plan.” Several claimed that 85 to 100 percent of their customers completed their programs.
“The vast majority of companies provided fraudulent and deceptive information,” said Gregory D. Kutz, managing director of forensic audits and special investigations at the G.A.O. in testimony before the Senate Commerce Committee during an April hearing.
At the same hearing, Senator Claire McCaskill, a Missouri Democrat,
pressed Mr. Ansbach, the Usoba lobbyist, to explain why his
organization refused to disclose its membership.
“The leadership in our trade group candidly was concerned that
publishing a list of members ended up being a subpoena list,” Mr.
Ansbach said.
“Probably a genuine concern,” Senator McCaskill replied.
The Coming Crackdown
On multiple fronts, state and federal authorities are now taking aim at the industry.
The Federal Trade Commission has proposed banning upfront fees,
bringing vociferous lobbying from industry groups. The commission is
expected to issue new rules this summer. Senator McCaskill has joined
with fellow Democrat Charles E. Schumer of New York to sponsor a bill
that would cap fees charged by debt settlement companies at 5 percent
of the savings recouped by their customers. Legislation in several
states, including New York, California and Illinois, would also cap
fees. A new consumer protection agency created as part of the financial
regulatory reform bill in Congress could further constrain the
industry.
The prospect of regulation hung palpably over the trade show at this
Atlantic-side resort, tempering the orchid-adorned buffet tables and
poolside cocktails with a note of foreboding.
“The current debt settlement business model is going to die,” declared
Jeffrey S. Tenenbaum, a lawyer in the Washington firm Venable,
addressing a packed ballroom. “The only question is who the executioner
is going to be.”
That warning did not dislodge the spirit of expansion. Exhibitors paid
as much as $4,500 for display space to showcase their wares — software
to manage accounts, marketing expertise, call centers — to attendees
who came for two days of strategy sessions and networking.
Cody Krebs, a senior account executive from Southern California, manned
a booth for LowerMyBills.com, whose Internet ads link customers to debt
settlement companies. Like many who have entered the industry, he
previously sold subprime mortgages. When that business collapsed, he found refuge selling new products to the same set of customers — people with poor credit.
“It’s been tremendous,” he said. “Business has tripled in the last year and a half.”
The threat of regulations makes securing new customers imperative now,
before new rules can take effect, said Matthew G. Hearn, whose firm,
Mstars of Minneapolis, trains debt settlement sales staffs. “Do what
you have to do to get the deals on the board,” he said, pacing
excitedly in front of a podium.
And if some debt settlement companies have gained an unsavory reputation, he added, make that a marketing opportunity.
“We aren’t like them,” Mr. Hearn said. “You need to constantly pitch
that. ‘We aren’t bad actors. It’s the ones out there that are.’ ”

The research is hard to ignore, vaccines can trigger autoimmunity with a laundry list of diseases to follow. With harmful and toxic metals as some vaccine ingredients, who is susceptible and which individuals are more at risk?
No one would accuse Yehuda Shoenfeld of being a quack.
The Israeli clinician has spent more than three decades studying the human immune system and is at the pinnacle of his profession.
You might say he is more foundation than fringe in his specialty; he wrote the textbooks.
The Mosaic of Autoimmunity,
Autoantibodies,
Diagnostic Criteria in Autoimmune Diseases,
Infection and Autoimmunity,
Cancer and Autoimmunity –
the list is 25 titles long and some of them are cornerstones of clinical practice.
Hardly surprising that Shoenfeld has been called the "Godfather of Autoimmunology" – the study of the immune system turned on itself in a wide array of diseases from type 1 diabetes to ulcerative colitis and multiple sclerosis.
But something strange is happening in the world of immunology lately and a small evidence of it is that the Godfather of Autoimmunology is pointing to vaccines –
specifically, some of their ingredients including the toxic metal aluminum – as a significant contributor to the growing global epidemic of autoimmune diseases.
The bigger evidence is a huge body of research that's poured in in the past 15 years, and particularly in the past five years.
Take for example, a recent article published in the journal Pharmacological Research in which Shoenfeld and colleagues issue unprecedented guidelines naming four categories of people who are most at risk for vaccine-induced autoimmunity.
"On one hand," vaccines prevent infections which can trigger autoimmunity, say the paper's authors, Alessandra Soriano, of the Department of Clinical Medicine and Rheumatology at the Campus Bio-Medico University in Rome, Gideon Nesher, of the Hebrew University Medical School in Jerusalem and Shoenfeld, founder and head of the Zabludowicz Center of Autoimmune Diseases in the Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer.
He is also editor of three medical journals and author of more than 1,500 research papers across the spectrum of medical journalism and founder of the International Congress on Autoimmunology.
"On the other hand, many reports that describe post-vaccination autoimmunity strongly suggest that vaccines can indeed trigger autoimmunity.
Defined autoimmune diseases that may occur following vaccinations include arthritis, lupus (systemic lupus erythematosus, SLE) diabetes mellitus, thrombocytopenia, vasculitis, dermatomyosiositis, Guillain-Barre syndrome and demyelinating disorders. Almost all types of vaccines have been reported to be associated with the onset of ASIA."
ASIA – or Autoimmune/inflammatory Syndrome Induced by Adjuvants (also known as Shoenfeld's syndrome) -- first appeared in the Journal of Autoimmunology four years ago.
It is an umbrella term for a collection of similar symptoms, including Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, that result after exposure to an adjuvant – an environmental agent including common vaccine ingredients that stimulate the immune system.
Since then an enormous body of research, using ASIA as a paradigm, has begun to unravel the mystery of how environmental toxins, particularly the metal aluminum used in vaccines, can trigger an immune system chain reaction in susceptible individuals and may lead to overt autoimmune disease.
Autoimmune disease results when the body's system meant to attack foreign invaders turns instead to attack part of the body it belongs to (auto is Greek for self).
If the immune system is like a national defense system, antibodies are like drones programmed to recognize a certain type of invader (a bacteria say) and to destroy them or mark them for destruction by other special forces.
Auto-antibodies are like drones that are misidentifying a component of the human body and have launched a sustained attack on it. If they mistakenly target a component of the conductive sheath around neurons, for example, nerve impulses stop conducting properly, muscles go into spasm and coordination fails; multiple sclerosis results.
If auto-antibodies erroneously focus on joint tissue; rheumatoid arthritis results.
If they target the islets of Langerhans in the pancreas, Type 1 diabetes, results and so on
"Throughout our lifetime the normal immune system walks a fine line between preserving normal immune reactions and developing autoimmune diseases," says the paper.
"The healthy immune system is tolerant to self-antigens. When self-tolerance is disturbed, dysregulation of the immune system follows, resulting in emergence of an autoimmune disease.
Vaccination is one of the conditions that may disturb this homeostasis in susceptible individuals, resulting in autoimmune phenomena and ASIA."
Who is "susceptible" is the subject of the paper entitled,
"Predicting post-vaccination autoimmunity: Who might be at risk?"
It lists four categories of people:
1) those who have had a previous autoimmune reaction to a vaccine,
2) anyone with a medical history of autoimmunity,
3) patients with a history of ALLERGIC REACTIONS,
4) anyone at high risk of developing autoimmune disease including anyone with a family history of autoimmunity, presence of auto-antibodies which are detectable by blood tests and other factors including low vitamin D and smoking.
PREVIOUS REACTION
Regarding those who have had a previous adverse reaction to vaccines, the paper cites five relevant studies including the case of a DEATH of a teenage girl six months following her third Gardasil injection against HPV virus.
She had experienced a range of symptoms shortly after her first dose, including dizziness, numbness and tingling in her hands, and memory lapses.
After her second injection, she developed "intermittent arm weakness, frequent tiredness requiring daytime naps," worse tingling, night sweats, chest pain and palpitations. A full autopsy was unrevealing but blood and spleen tissue analysis revealed HPV-16 L1 gene DNA fragments – matching the DNA found in vials of the Gardasil vaccine against cervical cancer – "thus implicating the vaccine as a causal factor."
The DNA fragments had also been found to be "complexed with the ALUMINUM adjuvant" which, according to the report, have been shown to persist for up to 8 to 10 years causing chronic immune system stimulation.
"Although data is limited," Shoenfeld and his colleagues concluded, "it seems preferable that individuals with prior autoimmune or autoimmune-like reactions to vaccinations, should not be immunized, at least not with the same type of vaccine."
ESTABLISHED AUTOIMMUNE CONDITION
The second group which the paper cites for vaccine exemption is patients with "established autoimmune conditions."
Vaccines don't work so well in them, say Shoenfeld and his colleagues, and they are at "risk for flares following vaccination."
Inoculations that contain live viruses including chickenpox, yellow fever and the measles, mumps and rubella triple vaccine (MMR) are "generally contraindicated" for people with autoimmune conditions because of the risk of "uncontrolled viral replication."
But inactivated vaccines are not such a good idea either because they usually contain the added ingredient ALUMINUM, linked to autoimmunity.
The immunologists describe recent studies in which patients with autoimmune rheumatic disease given the influenza vaccine (without aluminum) suffered more joint pain and fever than controls and whose levels of autoantibodies (the drones that attack self) increased after receiving the flu vaccine.
What's more, they developed new types of auto-antibodies that weren't present before the vaccines, and those persisted. As the presence of auto-antibodies can be predictive of developing autoimmune disease in patients without symptoms, even years ahead of disease onset, this is troubling to those who understand immunology.
A number of studies claim vaccines are safe for the "overwhelming majority of patients with established autoimmune diseases," the study allows, but they only looked at rheumatoid arthritis and lupus and not at severe and active cases so "the potential benefit of vaccination should be weighed against its potential risk," they cautioned.
PATIENTS WITH A HISTORY OF ALLERGY
Vaccine trials have usually excluded "vulnerable" individuals -- only extremely healthy individuals with no allergies are recruited.
It's a "selection bias," say Soriano and Shoenfeld, and has likely resulted in serious adverse events being "considerably underestimated" in "real life where vaccines are mandated to all individuals regardless of their susceptibility." The true incidence of allergic reactions to vaccines, normally estimated at between one in 50,000 to one in a million doses, is probably much higher and particularly where gelatin or egg proteins are on the ingredients list, they say.
There's a long list of VACCINE INGREDIENTS (as below) that are potential allergens: besides the infectious agents themselves, there are those from:
Hen's egg . . . Horse serum. . . Baker's yeast . . .Numerous Antibiotics . . . Formaldehyde . . .Lactose, as well "inadvertent" ingredients such as LATEX.
People's allergic histories have to be taken before vaccination say the researchers. But some signs of reaction don't show up until after the shot.
The public health nurse or GP might tell patients that a long-lasting swelling around the injection site after a vaccine is a normal reaction, for example. But that is not what the immunologists say.
"Aluminum sensitization manifests as nodules [hard lumps] at the injection site that often regress after weeks or months, but may persist for years." In such cases, they say, a patch test can be done to confirm sensitivity and to avoid vaccination.
According to a growing body of research, though, allergy may be only the beginning of many dangerous aluminum-induced phenomena.
THE TROUBLE WITH ALUMINUM
Aluminum has been added to vaccines since about 1926 when Alexander Glenny and colleagues noticed it would produce better antibody responses in vaccines than the antigen alone.
Glenny figured the alum was inducing what he called a "depot effect" – slowing the release of the antigen and heightening the immune response.
For 60 years his theory was accepted dogma. And over the same time, the vaccine schedule grew decade on decade, but few ever questioned the effects of injecting aluminum into the body, which is strange considering Aluminum's its known toxicity.
A PubMed search on aluminum and "toxicity" turns up 4,258 entries. Its neurotoxicity is well documented.
ALUMINUM TOXICITY affects memory, cognition, psychomotor control; it damages the blood brain barrier, activates brain inflammation, depresses mitochondrial function and plenty of research suggests it is a key player in the formation of the amyloid "plaques" and tangles in the brains of Alzheimer's patients.
Aluminum has been implicated in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis and autism and demonstrated to induce allergy.
When kidney dialysis patients were accidentally infused with ALUMINUM the "dialysis-induced encephalopathy" (DAE) they developed neurological symptoms: speech abnormalities, tremors, memory loss, impaired concentration and behavioural changes. Many of the patients eventually went into comas and died. The lucky ones survived: when the source of toxicity, aluminum, was removed from their dialysis they recovered rapidly.
With these new observations, researchers began investigating the adjuvant effects of aluminum and in the past decade there has been a flurry of research.
Far from being a sandbag that holds the antigen for a while and then gets excreted, it turns out that ALUMINUM SALTS TRIGGER A STORM OF DEFENSE ACTION.
Within hours of injection of the same aluminum oxyhydroxide in vaccines into mice, for example, armies of specialized immune cells are on the move, calling in grid coordinates for more specialist assault forces.
Within ONE DAY, a whole host of immune system commandos are in play -- neutrophils, eosinophils, inflammatory monocytes, myeloid and dendritic cells, activating lymphocytes and secreting proteins called cytokines.
The cytokines themselves cause collateral damage but they send out signals, directing cell-to-cell communication and recruiting other cells into action.
If the next phase of the attack is launched: fibroblast growth factor, interferons, interleukins, platelet derived growth factor, transforming growth factor and tumour necrosis factor might all be engaged.
There's evidence that poorly understood and pesky inflammasomes, (currently a topic of cutting- edge cancer causation research) such as the Nod-like receptor 3( NLRP) are activated too, but it's all still too early to say exactly what they're doing.

n the corner because they are weak and timid in the face of danger. And like with the two men, when countries face the same challenges, one country may thrive and the other country takes a dive.
This article is about the story of a tale of two countries. One has stared into the belly of the beast and has survived. The other country is in the process of being devoured by the same beast but is totally unaware of the ultimate and fatal fate that awaits most of its anesthetized citizens who are drunk and distracted on TV, video games, drugs, consumerism, etc.
Who Am I?
This country was on the brink of economic Armageddon and the government, on behalf of the banksters who had hijacked the government, attempted to steal everything they could before they purposely were going to collapse the system. Goldman Sachs and Wall Street were the central players behind the threat. Yet, the brave and intelligent people of this country found a way to not be taken down by the most corrupt and evil forces on the planet, namely the Wall Street bankers. This country has taken corrective measures, in the face of overwhelming adversity and prosperity is returning to this its citizens. In other words, these brave citizens may be the only people on the face of the earth who have successfully stared down the globalists and are defeating them. This country has tremendous national character and resolve. Who am I?
If you think it is the United States, put your hands down, your answer is incorrect. The answer is Iceland.
The 2008 World’s Economic Meltdown Began In Iceland
America is ready to enter into the final economic disaster zone. Iceland has already been there and their journey was inspired and controlled by Goldman Sachs and fellow Wall Street banksters. Iceland’s journey down the path to economic Armageddon actually began in the late 1990s and early 2000s, when Iceland’s Prime Minister David Oddsson, began to do the bidding of Wall Street bankers and instituted a set of Reagan-style policies and privatization. According to author, Roger Boyes, as he documents the world’s descent into economic tyranny in his best-selling book, Meltdown Iceland, the fix was in and Wall Street began to financially obliterate Iceland after plundering its hard assets.
Under the globalists from Wall Street, the banking sector grew rapidly, propelled by borrowed money. Icelanders could access credit easily in just the same manner as pre-2008 crash America. Iceland had its own devastating housing bubble as housing prices escalated exponentially and consumption skyrocketed. In order to attract international currency investments, Iceland raised its interest rates to 15% and the same devastating consequences which befell America was visited upon Iceland. In 2003-2004, prices on the Iceland stock market increased 900% before crashing.America, are you nervous yet?
Iceland’s bubble was no different than any other economic bubble. By 2006, what I call the heroin effect kicked in and the average Icelander was 300% wealthier than in 2003, but hopelessly in debt. Iceland was experiencing a 1929 pre-crash America as well as the symptoms of our impending crash in 2013. The citizens were seduced by easy money and acted as if they were addicted to heroin. Meanwhile, the government, banking and corporate debt grew out of control until the time to pay up finally arrived.
By 2008 Iceland’s banks collapsed, it was time for Icelanders to pay for their extravagant ways and 50,000 of its people’s savings were wiped out. Keep in mind that Iceland only has a population of 300,000. If those same numbers were to be visited upon America, we would be looking 50 million Americans having their savings wiped out. Let me ask the same question that I always ask at this point. Do you now understand why DHS has purchased 2.2 billion rounds of ammunition to go with 2700 armored personnel carriers? Do you now understand why Jade Helm exists. When the economy collapses, perhaps as early as the fall of 2015, Jade Helm and their international partners will be in place to restore order, a New World Order.
From where I sit, the people of Iceland have more courage in their little finger than America has in its entire being. Iceland’s financial failure forced its government to resign or be removed, and it also caused citizens to re-evaluate the merits of their reckless spending, borrowing and consumption. Just how did Iceland do it?
Iceland’s President Olafur Ragnar Grimmson was interviewed in 2013 at the World Economic Forum in Davos on why Iceland has enjoyed such a strong recovery after it’scomplete financial collapse in 2008, while the rest of the West is still mired in debt, poverty and hopelessness to go with empty promises of an economic recovery.
When asked whether Iceland’s policy of letting the banks fail would have worked in the rest of Europe, Grimsson stated:
“… Why are the banks considered to be the holy churches of the modern economy? Why are private banks not like airlines and telecommunication companies and allowed to go bankrupt if they have been run in an irresponsible way? The theory that you have to bail-out banks is a theory that you allow bankers enjoy for their own profit their success, and then let ordinary people bear their failure through taxes and austerity. People in enlightened democracies are not going to accept that in the long run. …“
Imagine that, let the banks fail! Let the criminal bankers take the same risk as any other business venture. Can we imagine Obama ever speaking this way in public?
And nearly seven years later, where is Iceland at today? They have jailed the criminal bankers within their country. If they could get their hands on Goldman Sachs officials they would. They impeached and convicted corrupt politicians who were in league with Wall Street, many of which are serving prison sentences. Iceland made its way to a full economic recovery while still saying no to the corrupt Goldman Sachs influences in Europe. Iceland is saying no to the Bank of International Settlements. Iceland is a beacon of hope for the rest of the G20 nations including the United States.
Architect of the Bail Outs, Former Goldman Sachs and Treasury Secretary, Hank Paulson
Do you remember this former Secretary of Treasury and former Goldman Sachs head, a total criminal,Hank Paulson, who threatened Congress with martial law if Congress did not hand over the nation’s money, both present and future, to Wall Street? Don’t remember? The event(s) was called a “bail-out”. Does that ring a bell?
Damage Control Analysis
Both countries, faced economic ruin. However, but only one country has prevailed. Going on seven years after the Wall Street bailouts, where is America at today? Well, we are nowhere near where Iceland is at today. Let’s look at a few numbers
Under the Obama administration, the national debt has doubled as it races by the $18 trillion mark. It would now take a whopping $170,000+ per taxpayer to cover the debt. In a moment the $18 trillion dollar debt will seem like a bargain for what lies ahead.
Under Obama, taxpayers are covering $2 billion dollars per day in jobless benefits and other forms of welfare and that number is escalating dramatically. The Big Three in health care coverage, Medicare, Medicaid and Obamacare, are adding $1 trillion dollars per year to the deficit. Social Security is adding $1 trillion dollars per year to the deficit.
It should now become clear why Obamacare has a set of eugenics based treatment exclusions which will significantly lower the Social Security deficit due to the planned kill off of the elderly in this country through age exclusions.
The elective wars of occupation are costing the country $700 billion per year. And the debt interest is presently at $1 billion dollars per day. Federal pensions are on the verge of breaking the system. The Civil Service Retirement System has once again accounted for the majority of that unfunded liability. The Civil Service Retirement System debt grew from $634 billion dollars in fiscal year,2010 to over $741 billion dollars in fiscal year 2011, according to the Office of Personnel Management’s Civil Service Retirement and Disability Fund.
Treasury Secretary Jack Lew Is Moving to Steal Selected Federal Retirement Accounts
Not to worry, Treasury Secretary Jack Lew is robbing Peter to pay Paul as he is raiding Federal retirement programs to cover the failure of not increasing the debt ceiling. Lew announced that the government was taking the unprecedented action of avoiding governmental default through last summer by including tapping into and suspendinginvestments into the Civil Service Retirement and Disability Fund and halting the daily reinvestment of the government securities (G) fund, the most stable offering in the Thrift Savings Plan‘s portfolio. This is all being done as we continue to fund the bailouts. How much of the bailout money has Goldman Sachs paid back?
Treasury Secretary Jack Lew is one of the criminal rat pack that have destroyed this country and now Obama has put him in charge of the Treasury Department. As I previously reported, while Lew was employed at Citigroup, he oversaw 113 tax evading accounts in Cayman Island banks. Based upon Lew’s resume, his proclivity for losing money, (i.e. the hedge funds for Citigroup where he lost almost $600 million dollars), one can only assume that is why Obama has appointed Lew to finish the job which will leave you and I with nothing. In Iceland, they imprisoned their bums. In the corrupt, criminal empire of America, these gangsters get promoted.
You people of young adult and middle age, don’t take a deep breath just yet. It is not just the elderly that has to worry. You people in your 30’s, 40’s and 50’s people need to very worried about your children’s future. Under Obama, three million more children live below the poverty line. College expense is going up 8 times faster than inflation and almost all jobs being produced to day pay less than $30,000 per year.
Now For the Really Big Numbers
It is a fact that our government’s Social Security liability will soon be as big as the national debt. The present unfunded liability of Social Security is presently $8.6 trillion, but that is deceptive because the shortfall quickly balloons to $20.5 trillion. The unfunded prescription Medicare liability for seniors is $24.8 trillion dollars. Zero Hedge places the Medicare debt at $99 trillion dollars. Theunfunded drug liability for seniors is $24.1 trillion dollars.
It is very easy to understand why Lew is going after federal retirements. The Federal Employees Retirement System is reporting a $20.1 billion unfunded liability.
Even more telling is our gross debt to GDP figures. The ratio is a staggering 143%. If you thought that $17 trillion dollars in debt was horrific in 2013, wait until 2015 when the amount is predicted, for this year, to approach 25 trillion in total US national debt. And the numbers get even more frightening. The total US Unfunded Liabilities are estimated at$144 trillion, roughly $1.2 million per taxpayer.
To summarize, the average net assets for an average U.S. citizen are $300,000. The net liability of the U.S. government, shared among its citizens, amounts to almost four times that amount or about $1.6 million per person. And the government’s debt is growing at $1 million every 45 seconds. To cover its annual deficit, it is printing $1 trillion a year of currency that is not backed by any asset except the Petrodollar and that practice is being threatened by China, Russia and India buying Iranian oil in gold.
Is It Too Late?
The key to getting the right answer is to ask the right questions. It is not so much a case of it being too late. It is more a case of character, discipline and knowledge. As I have said before, Iceland knows how the world of economics works, Americans know how American Idol works. In other words, I see nothing in our country, at the present moment, which is suggestive of the fact that we have the collective knowledge to understand what is happening to us, so we can accept the sacrifices which would be needed to make a corrective course change as they did in Iceland. I see nothing in our country which is suggestive of the fact that we have the discipline that Icelanders demonstrated in order to pay the price to overcome the banksters and the economic woes that would follow their demise. After all, we have $200 trillion dollars in credit card debt. So much for American discipline. And as far as character goes, American TV, in prime time, is an abomination in the eyes of God with regard to hedonistic sexual practices implied or demonstrated on TV. America, through its media has embraced every form of perversion known to man. I see nothing in our collective character which suggests that we can duplicate the Icelanders.
Preparing to rid America of useless eaters.
When the economic poop hits the proverbial fan, Americans, out of options, out of food, out of any life-sustaining resources, will take to the streets and be met by whom? They will be met by (come’on say it with me now) “DHS and their 2.2 billion rounds of ammunition and 2700 armored personnel carriers.” And now we see Jade Helm and its international counterpart, TRIDENT EXPOSURE which are both preparing to pounce on any people who dare revolt to what is coming. And what is coming?
Conclusion
We could have done what Iceland did, but we did not. Now, we have a choice on how we die as a nation.
However, there a few things that one can do to have a softer landing after the globalists complete the job of stealing your stocks, your 401K’s, your pensions and your bank accounts.
At one time, I thought that the globalists were going to collapse the economy this summer/fall. now I am not so sure. Americans still have assets in the banks and the bones of these accounts have not yet been picked dry. I think we will see bail-ins before the collapse and imposition of martial law. This would explain why last November, the G20 declared your bank account to be the property of the bank after the deposit is made.
If the globalists try to impose bail-ins and more bail-outs, America needs to do what Iceland did. Say no, or die trying. We may not survive America, but at least we have a choice on how we will die. We must not give in to the coming bail-ins. Spend your bank account down and do it now! Do not let this nation die while letting these criminal bankers confiscate on penny of your earnings. Choose your destiny and legacy America. We can go down with the same vigor that we showed as a nation on July 4th over 230 years ago. Bail-ins and Jade Helm be damned!

…
er inner circle with her connivance, purloined highly classified US intelligence and either sold it, traded it, or used it for personal gain. This is not a conspiracy theory and it is not hyperbole. Stick with me for a moment.
The smokescreen
Via the AP:
On Monday, the inspector general for the 17 spy agencies that make up what is known as the intelligence community told Congress that two of 40 emails in a random sample of the 30,000 emails Clinton gave the State Department for review contained information deemed “Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information,” one of the government’s highest levels of classification.
The AP story, along with much of the rest of the media is trying to give two impressions:
First, the Clinton abstracted classifed information and included it in her emails, again AP
Clinton did not transmit the sensitive information herself, they said, and nothing in the emails she received makes clear reference to communications intercepts, confidential intelligence methods or any other form of sensitive sourcing.
Second, that there is all kinds of confusion about security classification
Nothing in the message is “lifted” from classified documents, the officials said, though they differed on where the information in it was sourced. Some said it improperly points back to highly classified material, while others countered that it was a classic case of what the government calls “parallel reporting” — different people knowing the same thing through different means.
We’ve all seen this behavior before with Clinton and her confederates in the media. Rose Law Firm records? Cattle futures? Whitewater? First it is “nothing to see here, move on.” Next it is “it is all so complicated, how could a somewhat addled old lady possibly keep it straight?”
This is bulls***
According to the Intelligence Community IG this is what was found in the documents David Kendall turned over on the famous “thumb drive” :
Focus your attention on the last line. Now let’s see what this means let’s go to John Schindler of 20committee.com writing at The Daily Beast:
• TOP SECRET, as the name implies, is the highest official classification level in the U.S. government, defined as information whose unauthorized release “could cause exceptionally grave damage to national security or foreign relations.”
• SI refers to Special Intelligence, meaning it is information derived from intercepted communications, which is the business of the National Security Agency, America’s single biggest source of intelligence. They’re the guys who eavesdrop on phone calls, map who’s calling whom, and comb through emails. SI is a subset of what the intelligence community calls Sensitive Compartmented Information, or SCI. And these materials always require special handling and protection. They are to be kept in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility, or SCIF, which is a special hardened room that is safe from both physical and electronic intrusion.
• TK refers to Talent Keyhole, which is an intelligence community caveat indicating that the classified material was obtained via satellite.
• NOFORN, as the name implies, means that the materials can only be shown to Americans, not to foreigners.
If you are interested in the permutations of security classifications at the TS level, this is a good primer.
The focus here is TK. This document the IC IG is talking about is satellite imagery. That is all it could have been. The Keyhole-series satellite is a recon satellite that produces imagery. It doesn’t produce anything else. What the IG found is not a passing reference to classified information or something State produced independently.
How did it get there?
The information we are talking about had to have originated on a highly secure network, one that was certified to handle SCIF-level information. (See page 43 for details) At some point it migrated from a SCIF to a highly secure network to Clinton’s email to her server. To get the document from the secure channel to the non-secure channel requires conscious effort. IT CANNOT HAPPEN BY ACCIDENT. This is evidenced by the fact that it appears someone stripped classifications from documents:
The claims come after the Clinton campaign stuck to the argument that the Democratic presidential candidate, while secretary of state, never dealt with emails that were “marked” classified at the time.
“Hillary only used her personal account for unclassified email. No information in her emails was marked classified at the time she sent or received them,” campaign Communications Director Jennifer Palmieri said in a statement to supporters Wednesday.
But a State Department official told Fox News that the intelligence community inspector general, who raised the most recent concerns about Clinton’s emails, made clear that at least one of those messages contained information that only could have come from the intelligence community.
“If so, they would have had to come in with all the appropriate classification markings,” the official said.
The official questioned whether someone, then, tampered with that message. “[S]omewhere between the point they came into the building and the time they reached HRC’s server, someone would have had to strip the classification markings from that information before it was transmitted to HRC’s personal email.”
This seems to be true because the Clinton campaign is pushing the “retroactive classification” story line and the IC IG implies that the images have been properly marked for their report which implies they were not properly marked when recovered.
Say what?
Now we have a situation where a person or persons downloaded highly classified images in a SCIF environment, or scanned hard copies of documents in a SCIF (cleared persons can bring electronic devices into a SCIF and there are dozens of scanner apps for smartphones and tablets. Clinton and her clique would undoubtedly be cleared.), ported those electronic files over to a non-secure computer and emailed them to someone using Hillary Clinton’s server. These particular images were emailed by or to Hillary Clinton.
If you want to stop now just remember this:
The information the IC IG is talking about a) could not have accidentally ended up in Clinton’s email, b) it was altered to remove security classifications, and c) there has to be a reason someone selected this information, from among the wealth of top secret information Clinton had access to, to steal.
Why would anyone do that?
Now that we’ve dismissed the idea that the classified material was classified post facto, or it was mentioned in passing and accidentally ended up in Hillary’s email, the question becomes one of a) why anyone would remove highly classified material from a secure environment, b) strip the security markings on highly classified satellite imagery and c) send it via un-secure email. These answers go to motive and state of mind. They wanted to sanitize the imagery as much as possible so no casual observer could tell it was classified (which asks another why? question which we will get to) and it was sent via un-secure email because the intended recipient did not have SCIF access.
What we know for certain is that Clinton could not have been contemplating saving this information for use in her memoirs because her memoirs would require State and Intelligence review and someone would have identified the imagery as TS//TK.
The beginning of a trail…
We know that Hillary Clinton relied to some degree on intelligence briefings sent to her by her loyalist and vicious attack poodle, Sid Blumenthal. This arrangement came to light when Blumethal’s AOL account (I am not making that up) was accessed by a Romanian hacker nicknamed ‘Guccifer.’ Via Politico:
Sidney Blumenthal did not write or know the source of any of the Libya intelligence he passed on to then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the top Clinton ally told investigators on the House Select Committee on Benghazi Tuesday in a closed-door deposition.
Blumenthal, subpoenaed by the committee, also did not verify any of the intelligence he forwarded to the nation’s top diplomat. Instead, Blumenthal was copying and pasting memos from Tyler Drumheller, a former CIA operative who was looking into a Libya-related business venture, and sending them to Clinton, two people familiar with his testimony told POLITICO.
“One of the folks providing her the largest volume of information was simply and merely a conduit of someone who … may have had business interest in Libya,” said panel ChairmanRep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) 80% (R-S.C.) at the end of a nearly nine-hour interview. “We have a CIA, so why would you not rely on your own vetted source intelligence agency? In this case, there was no vetting, no analysis of credibility whatsoever.”
And:
In her early months in office, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was in contact with unofficial adviser Sidney Blumenthal more often and on a wider range of topics than was previously known, a set of about 3,000 Clinton emails released Tuesday night by the State Department revealed.
While Blumenthal’s role as a provider of off-the-books intelligence reports on Libya has stirred controversy, the newly disclosed emails show he also acted as an intermediary with officials involved in the Northern Ireland peace process and shared advice with Clinton on issues from Iran to British politics to how to blame China for the breakdown of global climate talks.
Blumenthal claims he didn’t actually know anything, that he was only an intermediary passing information from a former CIA official, Iraq War critic (I know, those are redundant terms) and would-be political player named Tyler Drumheller.
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had access to the world’s top intelligence agencies and their resources, but at the most turbulent moment of her tenure as the nation’s top diplomat, she received a stream of intelligence on Libya and the Benghazi attack by a former CIA official working outside the government, sources said. … Since his retirement, Drumheller has also contributed to various Democratic politicians, according to records maintained by the Center for Responsive Politics. In 2005, he contributed a combined $800 to the Senate campaigns of former Sens. Mark Pryor and Mary Landrieu, and donated $500 to Rep. Bill Pascrell, D-New Jersey, in 2011, the Center for Responsive Politics said.
And…
We know at least two Clinton cronies followed her to State: Cheryl Mills (Chief of Staff) and sweet Huma Abedin (Deputy Chief of Staff). They also had Clinton foundation email addresses. Both Mills and Abedin held the status of ‘special employees’ which allowed them to hold other jobs while working at State. Mills was on the board of NYU’s Abu Dhabi campus, general counsel for NYU, and on the payroll of the Clinton Foundation. Abedin worked for an investment consultancy called Teneo Holdings and was also on the payroll of the Clinton Foundation. We don’t know their security access but it would be safe to say they saw everything Hillary did.
What happened to the imagery?
Either Clinton sent top secret material via her private email to herself to archive for grins or the Clinton server was only a way station on its way somewhere else. Simply keeping the images for some future use doesn’t make sense to me as it is a high risk-low payoff action. The more likely scenario is that something was done with the images, something that benefited one or more Clintons.
A logical route would be Clinton gets info from Blumenthal who gets info from Drumheller. Clinton sends info to Blumenthal who sends info to Drumheller.
But if Blumenthal, or someone like him, handled the outgoing classified information did they also act as a bag man, collecting money for the imagery?
What did Drumheller, or someone like him, get for his efforts if he received the imagery? Was he merely a bit player at the fringe of Democrat politics who was releasing his inner Walter Mitty by sending bulls*** intel analyses to Hillary? Maybe in hopes of become Director of Central Intelligence after her coronation? Did he get paid by Clinton? Or was the operation a quid pro quo where he received classified materials that he could sell to others and curry favor and impress others to gain access to other political players? Did someone in Abu Dhabi get the images? Or did they end up at Teneo Holdings to help bolster some investment decision? One of these answers is better than the others.
…or it could have been run of the mill Clinton corruption
Alternatively, once could ask were these images and other information used to sweeten the pot for various kleptocrats and dictators who paid extortionate amounts of money for speeches by Bill Clinton? Suppose a Third World dictator… let’s imagine in Central Asia… paid Bill Clinton… let’s just throw a number out there… $500,000 for a speech. Suppose as part of the deal that Clinton client also received satellite imagery or signal intercepts that increased their life expectancy. Is there any evidence of this? No. But neither is there any proof it didn’t happen. As we learned during the administration of GHW Bush, it is not the quality of the evidence that requires an investigation, rather it is the seriousness of the allegation.
Searching for a fall guy
Clinton’s story is “I didn’t know squat.” That is as plausible as Obama’s Justice Department wants to make it. But either someone gave her the images and she sent them or they had log in access to her email and sent them for her. Her only real defense, given her access to classified material and a Keyhole satellite image would have been instantly recognizable, is that someone used her email to send it.
But how did they get into Hillary’s email? Did Hillary handle the images? I don’t think she had the technical chops — and is way too smart — to scan/download satellite imagery, strip the security classification, and email them. Did Cheryl Mills, an attorney, do this? Lawyers do stupid stuff all the time but usually it has the patina of cleverness attached. That leaves Huma.
With no security classification, Sid Blumenthal has plausible deniablity. He can say he got the images (this is assuming that at some point he did receive them) but assumed they were unclassified.
This makes one logical fall guy Tyler Drumheller. Drumheller would instantly recognize the Keyhole imagery so stripping the security classification wouldn’t muddy the water much for him if it ever went to court. But anyone he gave/showed the imagery to would not necessarily know the source which could provide some degree of cover. Unfortunately, we will never know Mr. Drumheller’s true role in this as hevisited Fort Marcy Park died of pancreatic cancer on August 2, 2015.
VIA RED STATE…
ansgender sprinters have swept the state championship in Connecticut, beating the biological females by leaps and bounds. There is a reason why we separate men and women in sporting events. Men have higher bone density, larger muscles and higher testosterone levels than their biological female opponents – and transgender women are no different. They have a huge advantage, and real girls just don’t stand a chance. Where are the feminists? Transgenders are stealing opportunities for girls and women and no one seems to care by the girls and their families.
From The Gateway Pundit
Shockingly, Yearwood argues that although he’s stronger than his female opponents, he claims some girls actually have an advantage over him…really??
“One high jumper could be taller and have longer legs than another, but the other could have perfect form, and then do better,” Yearwood said. “One sprinter could have parents who spend so much money on personal training for their child, which in turn, would cause that child to run faster.”
Another competitor pointed out the fallout from allowing biological males to compete against biological girls is much wider.
Salina Soule, a female competitor said she believes that had the transgender athletes, Miller and Yearwood not competed against the girls, she would be on her way to race in Boston in front of more college coaches, reported the Washington Times.
The Washington Times reported:
Yearwood, a 17-year-old junior at Cromwell High School, is one of two transgender high school sprinters in Connecticut, transitioning to female.
She recently finished second in the 55-meter dash at the state open indoor track championships. The winner, Terry Miller of Bloomfield High, is also transgender and set a girls state indoor record of 6.95 seconds. Yearwood finished in 7.01 seconds and the third-place competitor, who is not transgender, finished in 7.23 seconds.
Miller and Yearwood also topped the 100-meter state championships last year, and Miller won the 300 this season.
“I have learned a lot about myself and about other people through this transition. I always try to focus most on all of the positive encouragement that I have received from family, friends and supporters,” Yearwood said. “I use the negativity to fuel myself to run faster.”

BIOLOGICAL MALE IS TOP-RANKED NCAA WOMEN’S TRACK STAR
9:00 PM 02/25/2019 | USPeter Hasson | Reporter
One of the fastest sprinters in NCAA women’s track is a biological male who identifies as a transgender woman.
Franklin Pierce University runner CeCe Telfer competed on the men’s track team in early 2018 before switching to the women’s team.
Telfer has dominated the NCAA Division II competition and led the women’s team into the top 25 for the first time ever.
A top-ranked runner in NCAA women’s track is dominating the competition and setting records one year after competing as a man at the same level.
Franklin Pierce University senior CeCe Telfer leads the NCAA’s Division II women’s division in the 55 meter dash and 55 meter hurdle events. Telfer led Franklin Pierce’s women’s track team into the top 25 rankings for the first time in program’s history, local newspaper The Keene Sentinel reported in December. The New Hampshire college is ranked 14th in DII.
“Senior CeCe Telfer (Lebanon, N.H.) won three Northeast-10 Conference titles on Sunday, to lead the Franklin Pierce University women’s track & field team and earn Most Outstanding Track Athlete honors at the NE10 Championships, hosted by American International College, on the campus of Smith College,” reads a Feb. 17 article the school’s athletic department posted.
Telfer broke the conference finals record at the meet and qualified for three different events at March’s NCAA championships, the article noted. (RELATED: Male Runners Dominate Girls’ High School Track, Female Runner Calls It ‘Demoralizing’)
Telfer is one of the fastest runners in NCAA women’s track and field at any division — not just at the DII level. Telfer’s best time in the 55 meter dash is tied with the third-fastest runner at the women’s DI level.
Telfer previously ran a variety of events for Franklin Pierce’s men’s team, during most of which time he went by the first name Craig, according to school records.
Telfer competed on Franklin Pierce’s men’s team as recently as January 2018, according to published meet results from the Middlebury Winter Classic in Vermont. By that point Telfer had started using the name CeCe, while still competing on the men’s team.
NCAA policy is that male athletes who identify as transgender can compete on women’s teams if they suppress their testosterone levels for a full calendar year. Otherwise, so-called mixed teams — which have both males and females — can compete in the men’s division, but not in the women’s division, according to NCAA rules.
The NCAA in 2011 published an explainer calling it “not well founded” to assume “that being born with a male body automatically gives a transgender woman an unfair advantage when competing against non-transgender women.”
“Transgender women display a great deal of physical variation, just as there is a great deal of natural variation in physical size and ability among non-transgender women and men. Many people may have a stereotype that all transgender women are unusually tall and have large bones and muscles. But that is not true,” the explainer states.
“A male-to-female transgender woman may be small and slight, even if she is not on hormone blockers or taking estrogen. It is important not to overgeneralize. The assumption that all male-bodied people are taller, stronger, and more highly skilled in a sport than all female-bodied people is not accurate,” it continues.

Telfer’s success in the women’s division, which was first highlighted by sports blog Turtleboy Sports, is the latest example of biological males who identify as transgender women piling up victories in women’s sports.
Two biologically male high schoolers in Connecticut, Terry Miller and Andraya Yearwood, are dominating girls’ track in the state. The two teens are among the fastest high school sprinters in the country — though only in the girl’s division.
One of Miller’s and Yearwood’s female competitors, fellow junior Selina Soule, told the Associated Press that it was unfair to force female high schoolers to compete against male athletes.
“We all know the outcome of the race before it even starts; it’s demoralizing,” Soule said. “I fully support and am happy for these athletes for being true to themselves. They should have the right to express themselves in school, but athletics have always had extra rules to keep the competition fair,” she added.
One of the top scorers for Australia’s women’s handball team is Hannah Mouncey, who played for the Australian men’s handball team before transitioning. Mouncey played women’s Australian rules football between transitioning and switching to women’s handball.
Mouncey was banned from the women’s division of the Australian Football League’s women’s division in October 2017 before receiving approval to play in February 2018.

Mouncey abandoned the sport for women’s handball in September 2018, a month after the football league announced tighter restrictions on testosterone levels.
Rachel McKinnon, a biologically male college professor who identifies as a transgender woman, won a women’s cycling world championship in October. McKinnon won the women’s sprint 35-39 age bracket at the 2018 UCI Masters Track Cycling World Championships in Los Angeles.
McKinnon in January 2018 was quoted in USA Today arguing against requiring biological males to suppress testosterone as a requirement for competing against women.
“We cannot have a woman legally recognized as a trans woman in society, and not be recognized that way in sports,” McKinnon told USA Today. “Focusing on performance advantage is largely irrelevant because this is a rights issue. We shouldn’t be worried about trans people taking over the Olympics. We should be worried about their fairness and human rights instead.”
Democratic Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar called for an investigation into USA Powerlifting in January after the athletic association announced that male lifters who identify as transgender women aren’t allowed to compete as women.
Omar called it a “myth” that men who identify as transgender women have a “direct competitive advantage” in a Jan. 31 letter she sent to USA Powerlifting on behalf of Jaycee Cooper, a male powerlifter in Omar’s district who identifies as a transgender woman.
Omar copied Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison on the letter, “with a recommendation that he investigate this discriminatory behavior.”
Ellison said his office didn’t have the jurisdiction to investigate USA Powerlifting, but recommended that Cooper “file a complaint with the Minnesota Department of Human Rights.”

‘IT’S ABSOLUTELY HUGE’ — BIOLOGICAL MALE DOMINATES WOMEN’S CYCLING COMPETITION
A 36-year-old biological male dominated the women’s division of the El Tour de Tucson last weekend, an annual cycling competition in Arizona that attracts thousands of amateur and professional cyclists.
Jillian Bearden — who identifies as a transgender woman — won the 106-mile race in 4 hours and 36 minutes, the Arizona Daily Star reported.
Bearden finished approximately 25 minutes behind former Mexican Olympian cyclist Hugo Rangel, who took home first place in the men’s division.
“It’s absolutely huge,” Bearden told the Daily Star, referring to his victory. “We’re at a moment of time — especially now — where not only do we have to come out but we have to be positive. We have to come together in solidarity and move this country in a direction that is accepting of all.”
Bearden’s victory is just the latest example of what critics say is an unfair advantage biological men have when competing in women’s athletic events.
In June, Alaskan high school girls felt cheated after teenage male Nattaphon Wangyot took home all-state honors in girls’ track and field. (RELATED: High School Boy Wins All-State Honors In Girls’ Track And Field)
Wangyot identified as a transgender teenage girl.
“I’m glad that this person is comfortable with who they are and they’re able to be happy in who they are, but I don’t think it’s competitively completely 100-percent fair,” one of Wangyot’s defeated female competitors said at the time.

1981 - Global Warming – “of an almost unprecedented magnitude” – New York Times
1988 - I would like to draw three main conclusions. Number one, the earth is warmer in 1988 than at any time in the history of instrumental measurements. Number two, the global warming is now large enough that we can ascribe with a high degree of confidence a cause and effect relationship to the greenhouse effect. And number three, our computer climate simulations indicate that thegreenhouse effect is already large enough to begin to effect the probability of extreme events such as summer heat waves. – Jim Hansen, June 1988 testimony before Congress, see His later quote andHis superior’s objection for context
1989 -“On the one hand, as scientists we are ethically bound to the scientific method, in effect promising to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but – which means that we must include all doubts, the caveats, the ifs, ands and buts. On the other hand, we are not just scientists but human beings as well. And like most people we’d like to see the world a better place, which in this context translates into our working to reduce the risk of potentially disastrous climate change. To do that we need to get some broad based support, to capture the public’s imagination. That, of course, means getting loads of media coverage. So we have to offer up scary scenarios, make simplified, dramatic statements, and make little mention of any doubts we might have. This “double ethical bind” we frequently find ourselves in cannot be solved by any formula. Each of us has to decide what the right balance is between being effective and being honest. I hope that means being both.” – Stephen Schneider, lead author of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change,Discover magazine, October 1989
1990 - “We’ve got to ride the global warming issue. Even if the theory of global warming is wrong, we will be doing the right thing – in terms of economic policy and environmental policy” – Senator Timothy Wirth

2001 - “Scientists no longer doubt that global warming is happening, and almost nobody questions the fact that humans are at least partly responsible.” – Time Magazine, Monday, Apr. 09, 2001
2003 - Emphasis on extreme scenarios may have been appropriate at one time, when the public and decision-makers were relatively unaware of the global warming issue, and energy sources such as “synfuels,” shale oil and tar sands were receiving strong consideration” – Jim Hansen, NASA Global Warming activist, Can we defuse The Global Warming Time Bomb?, 2003
2006 - “I believe it is appropriate to have an over-representation of factual presentations on how dangerous it is, as a predicate for opening up the audience to listen to what the solutions are, and how hopeful it is that we are going to solve this crisis.” — Al Gore, Grist magazine, May 2006
2006 – “It is not a debate over whether the earth has been warming over the past century. The earth is always warming or cooling, at least a few tenths of a degree…” —Richard S. Lindzen, the Alfred P. Sloan professor of meteorology at MIT
2006 – “What we have fundamentally forgotten is simple primary school science. Climate always changes. It is always…warming or cooling, it’s never stable. And if it were stable, it would actually be interesting scientifically because it would be the first time for four and a half billion years.” —Philip Stott, emeritus professor of bio-geography at the University of London
2006 - “Since 1895, the media has alternated between global cooling and warming scares during four separate and sometimes overlapping time periods. From 1895 until the 1930’s the media peddled a coming ice age. From the late 1920’s until the 1960’s they warned of global warming. From the 1950’s until the 1970’s they warned us again of a coming ice age. This makes modern global warming the fourth estate’s fourth attempt to promote opposing climate change fears during the last 100 years.” –Senator James Inhofe, Monday, September 25, 2006
2007- “I gave a talk recently (on fallacies of global warming) and three members of the Canadian government, the environmental cabinet, came up afterwards and said, ‘We agree with you, but it’s not worth our jobs to say anything.’ So what’s being created is a huge industry with billions of dollars of government money and people’s jobs dependent on it.” – Dr. Tim Ball, Coast-to-Coast, Feb 6, 2007
2008 – “Hansen was never muzzled even though he violated NASA’s official agency position on climate forecasting (i.e., we did not know enough to forecast climate change or mankind’s effect on it). Hansen thus embarrassed NASA by coming out with his claims of global warming in 1988 in his testimony before Congress” – Dr. John S. Theon, retired Chief of the Climate Processes Research Program atNASA, see above for Hansen quotes
2009 – Climate change: melting ice will trigger wave of natural disasters. Scientists at a London conference next week will warn of earthquakes, avalanches and volcanic eruptions as the atmosphere heats up and geology is altered. Even Britain could face being struck by tsunamis – “Not only are the oceans and atmosphere conspiring against us, bringing baking temperatures, more powerful storms and floods, but the crust beneath our feet seems likely to join in too,” – Professor Bill McGuire, director of the Benfield Hazard Research Centre, at University College London, – The Guardian, Sep 2009.
2010 – What Global Warming Looks Like. It was more than 5°C (about 10°F) warmer than climatology in the eastern European region including Moscow. There was an area in eastern Asia that was similarly unusually hot. The eastern part of the United States was unusually warm, although not to the degree of the hot spots in Eurasia. James Hansen – NASA GISS, August 11, 2010.
2011 – Where Did Global Warming Go? “In Washington, ‘climate change’ has become a lightning rod, it’s a four-letter word,” said Andrew J. Hoffman, director of the University of Michigan’s Erb Institute for Sustainable Development. – New York Times, Oct 15, 2011.
2012 – Global warming close to becoming irreversible-scientists. “This is the critical decade. If we don’t get the curves turned around this decade we will cross those lines,” said Will Steffen, executive director of the Australian National University’s climate change institute, speaking at a conference in London. Reuters, Mar 26, 2012
2013 – Global-warming ‘proof’ is evaporating. The 2013 hurricane season just ended as one of the five quietest years since 1960. But don’t expect anyone who pointed to last year’s hurricanes as “proof” of the need to act against global warming to apologize; the warmists don’t work that way. New York Post, Dec 5, 2013
2014 – Climate change: It’s even worse than we thought. Five years ago, the last report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change painted a gloomy picture of our planet’s future. As climate scientists gather evidence for the next report, due in 2014, Michael Le Page gives seven reasons why things are looking even grimmer. –New Scientist (undated in 2014)
