House Bill on Food Assistance Programs
Representative James McGovern (D-MA) talked about H.R. 3102, the Nutrition Reform and Work Opportunity Act of 2013, which the House was to begin debate later in the day. He focusd on the portion of the bill that would cut $40 billion over 10 years to the funding for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), also known as food stamps.
