Open carry activists determined to educate the American people on their Constitutional rights

DALLAS (INTELLIHUB) — Open carry activists with Come and Take it Texas and DontComply.com exercised their rights by carrying weapons alongside police in a “street theatre” spectacle, showing others that Americans are allowed to posses and carry loaded firearms publicly in the state.

Amazingly, when the group converged on the police station explaining what they were planning to do, the police cooperated with the activists escorting them through the streets of Dallas attracting major attention from passersby.

Later after the open carry walk, the group held a get-together at a local pub with Adam Kokesh on the mic addressing some of the issues.

“I have never felt so welcomed in the Lone Star state”, Adam Kokesh stated later after the open carry walk as he addressed a crowd of people who came in support.

Kokesh went on to talk about his recent four-month stay in jail via taxpayer dollars after being convicted of carrying a shotgun in Washington D.C. last year. However, at this demonstration Kokesh was only armed with a video camera.

Jail “is a wonderful opportunity for meditation”, Kokesh stated to the crowd in a spunky manner gong on to crack jokes.

Determined to make a difference, educating others about the U.S. Constitution, the group also recently conducted open carries in the Midland-Odessa and Austin areas.

Kokesh is currently on tour raising support for his website and new book. The tour is expected to reach California according to reports.

“If you are not having fun, you are not doing it right”, said Kokesh.
