Unresponsive plane from Rochester, NY passes through Cuba toward South America

The Cuban government was tracking the plane, taking over for two F-15 jets that followed the plane until it crossed Cuban territory. Occupants on the plane have not responded to any attempts to communicate.

An unresponsive private plane that left from Rochester, N.Y., has now passed Cuban airspace and may not have much fuel left, according to CNN.

The plane took off around 8:45 a.m. from the Greater Rochester International Airport, according to the Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks. Around 10:45 a.m., U.S. officials started investigating when it had become unresponsive, and sent two F-15 jets to trail the plane. The fighter jets stopped following the aircraft when it crossed into Cuban airspace.
