Hey kea , You see the ring around her neck where the collar was embedded nearly choking her to death. I hate when they are too friendly to eat. LOL I didn't see a thing this morning ,we have had a full bright moon the past couple of nights which I guess allowed the deer to eat all night thus avoiding my belly.

very cute indeed steve. I'm lucky I get given heaps of venison for the freezer as my brother and friends are always out hunting. When the big roar is on everyone comes to town for it so there's even more. They go for the stags because the Chinese pay good money for the velvet that they quickly send off to china for some sort of medicine. That pays for a butcher to make salami, sausages, stakes, ect from the surplus meat that is later swopped for beef and lamb with the farmers and for cod from the fishermen. Life can be good when you leave the city.
Hey kea, This is me 15yrs ago with a little doe I cut a collar off of that some moron had almost killed her with, the damn thing would follow me in the house right past my rottweiler. She seemed to know I had saved her life. The one on the wall was one of the last nasty rutting bucks I killed after that it was young spikes and does for my belly.
Bow hunting season started here today and I will be in a tree stand at daylight tomorrow.
