Is that the Japanese monarch?

It is a mark of respect to bow, but is it not a mark of respect when visiting another country to do as the natives? Therefore should people when visiting our countries exercise the same respect , by adhering to our law's and custom's ???? Is this not fair to assume? I am all for respecting other peoples faiths and beliefs but what about ours?..Clearly as in life when you are in debited to another you go the extra mile to be polite as you don't wish to offend, so in other words we are pandering to them some what ? please forgive if I offend I know that some people would see my views as 'non-pc' but I mean no offence

Yes, I am aware it's a cultural thing to bow to one another in Japan. But for Barry, it is just another bow to his new masters. The more debt we build up with other countries, the more their leaders are able to pull his strings. Look at Barry the puppet go, getting his strings pulled like no other.

Right, in Japan it is all about the depth of the bow and whether one is deeper than the other. If the other fellow bowed just as deeply then it is one of equals with great respect for each other. A shorter bow would be a claim of superiority a deeper one an admission of inferiority. So a pic that only shows one of the two bowing means absolutely nothing.

Richard M. Nixon'S Northwest Trip & Meeting With Hirohito In Alaska
Date taken: 1971

I guess we can compare photographs of President Obama bowing to Emperor Akihito of Japan with Nixon's. Can we assume that since we owe much more money to Japan then back then, the bow is appropriate? ....ha ha!
