Your right about one man not being able to take an army by himself... good thing theres millions of us.

 

.22lr is for game getting not self defense unless you have a suppressor on it, even then its just a one job gun in combat and when things get loud you bring out the AK the 223 and 308 you have on your back.

Or, consider this. .22 ammo is cheaper and lighter. One can easily carry a brick of 22's (5k) easier than .50 cal or 7.62x39 (or .223 if it is an AK74). The sound is also quieter. True, the damage isn't as bad but then again, it's doubtful that one would be able to stand against an invading army anyway.

Why dude? you could have spent that cash a lot better imho. Make sure to get all the web gear, spare parts, extra mags and ammo for each rifle. If you still have cash man get a Ferret 50 great shooters 6 inch groups at 1000yds with their super match if the shooter and ammo are good. If not a 50 cal a semi-auto in 308, FN-FAL, CETME, Saiga 308 would be good to have if you have the money to invest. Check out the Saiga 12ga i think you'll like it.

 

223 and 7.62x39 are great but i personally don't want to be that close to some one shooting at me LOL. Thats just me.
