The numbers worldwide DO NOT justify shutting down the global economy, or the economy in any country. It's saying it's worth it to sacrifice hundreds of millions or billions (by starvation and / or lack of medical care, etc) if we can save tens or hundreds of thousands from the flu. It's insane.
