LOL if what you are seeing on your street looks like the cameras above then they are DHS cameras or local law enforcement cameras that are plugged into the DHS monitoring system. That cop is either dumb or he is lying to you.

I asked a cop about the newly installed camera at the end of my road and if I should drive on the shoulder of the road once I passed the last driveway, would I be given a ticket and would you believe he responded that "those arent real cameras". He said that they were sensors to detect if a car was on a side street in order to change the light. I thought it seemed odd as they looked pretty much like above picture and heard sensors are built into the streets and not from above. Maybe this cop was joker?
