When gun rights were given in 1688 BOR and 1328 salute guns looked a bit different then.Guns have changed, Rights haven't.
You're on to it CS. Americans must always Know they have the Right to carry artillery. Always remember it's the 1328 statute ( of Northampton ) for you. Firearms Were Widely Carried around at the time. Do not let them change your English history. The 1328 statute Was Not superseded by the English 1689 BOR for you - True Americans. The 1689 BORs is where my (non American ) gun rights come from. The statute was changed at the time because you can't have the likes of jews and others running all over the place with guns blazing. Things could get dangerous, even the guns themselves could accidentally kill the one who fired it off as King James the 2nd of Scotland found to his demise when he attempted to fire a salute to his queen but blew himself up instead. I think the name of the guns back then were called something like Handgone.
