Murdoch get a pie in the face? pics
Rupert Murdoch was today attacked by a protester as he gave evidence to a parliamentary select committee.
The 80-year-old media tycoon was protected by his wife Wendi and a woman lawyer who leapt to his defence to protect her husband.
Mr Murdoch was doused in a custard pie.
The attacker was hauled away by police. He has been identified as Jonnie Marbles on the New Statesman.
The hearing has been suspended. James Murdoch was in mid-sentence as the attacked was launched.01
