In their defense they are teaching PRONOUNS and there are a bunch of these impossible self identifying pronouns to learn and just so many hours in a day , in my home town of baltimore there was not one single school that was proficient in anything but violence.

This is why people are graduating from high school with the math skills of an oppressed turnip. It certainly makes it easy for educators to excuse their lack of teaching skills.
