This is me last month in a Sea Eagle inflatable kayak towing about 250 pounds of camping gear up the Sabine river. The trip was 32 total miles on a 17 day camping trip and I had to boil 5 gallons of water per day as the water before treatment tasted and smelled of ancient stale gasoline. The Sabine coal mine's heavy equipment ran 24 hours a day thus scaring off fish and wildlife. My camp was inspected by wild hogs and coyotes. Note, the coyote scout couldn't even sneak up on me over my music thanks to his ear mites. It was an interesting poor man's excursion into the wild.
