Steve - It's from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, so I'm sure they're low balling. There are government numbers and there's real world numbers. But, according to Joe, gas went down 30 cents a gallon, so you're saving $7.50 a fill-up although it still costs $2.70 more per gallon than when he became resident. It's DemoMath.
This must be some of that new math nonsense when gas was $2.00 per gallon it cost me 50$ to fill my 25gal. tank see that's 2x25=50 it now cost $5.00 per gallon so that's an extra3x25=75 which means what use to cost 50$ is now125$ so with my limited skills even I know I'm paying 2 1/2 times so isn't that like a 250% inflation rate or am I just bad at this "new math".
